They'd finally 'grown up' as someone would say. Everyone was impressed with how big the three of them had gotten and since he was not the size of his father, if not a little bigger, he was pretty sure they were 'grown up'. Couldn't really get any bigger than that huh?
Stretching out his wings he pondered the though of testing them out again. He'd been able to fly for a few weeks now and he needed all the practice he was going to get if he wanted to be able to use them properly.
At least he was better at it than Dorian. Though that was probably because his brother would, most likely, be afraid of ruffling his feathers in an unpretty manor.

Giving a dainty snort, the feminine stallion made his way towards the field in the direction of where his family typically resided. The summer heat had started to cause him to sweat, and he glared at the locks of white hair that dangled against his cheek, cursing them for mussing themselves up in the hot weather. He'd have to find himself a river to cool off in soon, else he'd go crazy with how gross all the sweat was making him feel.
Glancing up with his teal eyes, he noticed a familiar figure standing in the distance.
"Si!" he called out, increasing his pace, "Si, have you seen any rivers near here?"

He turned as he heard his brother calling him and tucked one wing over his head so he could see better in the light. The sun was almost directly over head and that made seeing things horrible. Silly heat made the air go all weird.
He nodded at his brother's question and pointed off with his other wing. There was a stream, which was close enough to a river, off just a little ways. He was on his way there since there were trees near by and he could get some salvation from the sun.

Dorian watched as his silent sibling used his black-tipped wing to point towards the water's direction. He shook his head to himself, unable to understand why his elder brother was so constantly quiet. Dorian himself couldn't help but talk and talk... after all, that's what voices were for, wasn't it?
Arriving by the stallion's side, Dorian threw his head back, tossing the obnoxious locks back out of his vision.
"Heading that way, I assume?" he asked casually, turning his head to stare at the bigger male. Si was built like their Father was, while Dorian took after his mother. On occassion, Dorian would envy the strength and build the older stallion had, though he'd soon recall just how beautiful he himself was, and all things seemed to even out in his head.

He nodded and turned back around so he could continue on toward the stream. Dorian would follow him since he wanted to know where it was. "Water's cooler. Too hot to be black."
Had it been anyone other than his sibling he would have just stayed quiet rather than trying to explain things in short sentences. Dorian was used to it though, even if he didn't always like it, so it was alright.

Dorian nodded his head wearily in agreement. "That it is, Si, that it is."
He felt more like a wilted flower than a horse, all hot and sweaty. Surely the summer wouldn't last much longer!
"I need a good bathing, after such a miserably hot day."
Grumbling to himself, Dorian paused to glance back towards his brother. "Hey, Si... I just realized I haven't seen you in a while. Where've you gone to? Not to train with Father, hopefully! Being a brute won't get you anywhere in life, you know."

Of course Dorian would want a bath. The heat must have made him feel not pretty anymore. He still didn't get the whole 'pretty' thing but it worked for Dorian so to each his own.
At the question about where he'd been he shook his head. He really didn't have his Father's drive to fight even if he was built for it. He knew how to well enough, he had been able to take his siblings when they were little, he just didn't see the point.
"Wandering..."

"Ah..."
Dorian, in a rare moment, had nothing to say to that. He wasn't surprised to hear that from the other stallion, but it still made him curious all the same as to what was going on in his brother's head. He was too damn quiet all the time... what could he be thinking?
"Well, one of these days we'll have to spruce up your looks... get you looking as handsome as ever. You have so much potential, Si, if you would only use it!"

He shook his head at the suggestion to be spruced up and to use his potential. He really didn't think he needed to. His brother and sister were pretty and they could flaunt things around. He was happy just being able to watch and keep Mother company and to do whatever.
It was less complicated that way. He didn't have to worry about people wanting his attention and he didn't' have to worry about people not understanding him. OR at least he didn't have to worry about them not understanding him at -all-and thinking he was crazy.
"You be pretty. I'll stand in the back and make you look better by comparison."

He shook his head and rolled his eyes. "Whatever, Si...."
He'd give up on the argument for now, but he was bound and determined to convince his sibling to allowing him to pretty-up the manly stallion. It would be somewhat of a difficult task to do, but Dorian had faith in himself, and there was no doubt in his mind that as long as Si had his genes, anything was possible.
His ears twitched as he heard the sound of rushing water, and his head perked up. Were they growing closer to the cool and comforting river?

He still couldn't figure out why Res and Dorian both wanted him to look prettier. Couldn't they just be happy that they were pretty and let him hide? Well not hide exactaly but he just didn't want to be in the spotlight. Too complicated.
Picking up his pace he trotted toward the stream and leaned down to splash his head with the water. Having wings was so useful some days. Turning ot look at his sibling he reached down into the water with one feathered appendage and splashed the cool stuff on his brother. Now he could complain about wet plastered down hair with good reason.

As Dorian was leaning his head down daintily to get his first drink from the river, an unsuspecting splash of water caught him off guard and soaked his beautiful face. Letting out a whinny of surprise, Dorian teetered off balance, but soon regained his composure enough to glare at his elder brother. "Two can play at that game, brother dear," he grinned, giving an impish smile.
Taking his own teal wing, he dipped it in and attempted to fling the water back in the older stallion's direction in retaliation.

He was perfectly fine with getting wet and leaned into the splash. Grinning at his brother he trotted into the stream and flopped over to roll himself in the water.
Thankfully it was full of stones for a bed rather than mud so his wings were saved from having to be cleaned out later. His brother would probably glare at him for being so uncooth but that was good with him.
He was clean and cool and perfectly happy.

His eyebrow raised as his larger brother made quite an ungraceful entrance into the river. It was like... it was like he didn't even CARE about how his wings might get ruffled or hair matted up!
Himself, Dorian took a testing, dainty step into the cool river. Even as sweltering as his dark body had gotten thanks to the summer heat, he wasn't about to just hop into the river like Si. Why, there might be a jagged rock or two on the bottom he could land on! Or worse, mud or creatures.
He shuddered at the thought of getting a fish or frog squished onto his beautiful hide. No, no no. There'd be no way he was jumping into a river!
Having tested the water with one hoof, he took a second gingerly step into the moving water, slowly but surely making his way in.

He rolled around in the water for a moment before he got back on his feet. Stretching out his wings he shook himself off vigisourly.
"Jump in..." He grinned at his brother as he shook a sodden wing at him. Walking daintily into a river was not what you were suppose to do. You walked into ponds. Rivers were meant to be jumped into.
