~The Story So Far~
It is the year 1279; an unsettling time for Japan. The neighboring Mongols have been invading for five years now, rapidly gaining ground in the midst of this war. Meanwhile the Emperor's son, Yoshida Ryu, has recently finished his samurai training, and is arranged to leave for Kyushu to help stop the Mongol attacks occurring there.
To make matters worse, Prince Ryu has various problems of his own to cope with. Akio, a former street thug and Ryu's best friend, has been framed for murder, and thus Ryu is reluctant to leave before he can clear Akio's name. And even more chilling is the sudden return of Yori Hiroko, a recent exile, who is rumored to have placed spies among the royal courts in her efforts to overthrow Ryu's father. Needless to say, the young prince has quite a lot on his plate.
In an age where treason becomes more and more lucrative, whose side are you on?

Personality: Honorable and highly protective of allies. Stern and solemn toward enemies, but can also be very naive on occasion.
Bio: Against the advice of his father's attendants, Ryu has been walking among the common people as one of them. It was during one of these travels that he met Akio, who attempted to rob him. Ryu managed to fend him off and offered to help rehabilitate him, during which they became fast friends. One of the peasants he tried to rob turned out to be Prince Ryu, who saw Akio's plight and offered to help. Bio: Hiroko showed promise as a village priestess, and was thus very prominent in Japan. However, she was also quite curious, and would often slip sleeping draughts into her superior's wine so that she could explore more freely. One day, however, she put too much of the draughts, which led to the high priestess' death. As a result, Hiroko was banished. Her father met her mother in England. Her mother was killed in front of her in the town market when Alejandra was 6. Her father then married a Japanese noblewoman. When her father went to work her step-mother use to abuse her and made her do all the work. When her father came home she treated her like a daughter. Alejandra's father then died of a heart attack when she was 12, leaving her and her-stepmother with everything. Her step-mother then kicked her out of the house saying that she was not worthy of being in her presence. People that saw didn't help her since she was a half breed. Kisone, yumi's silver wolf, stopped running and paused at a nearby lake. Yumi hopped off and filled her canteen with some water. "i cant believe it as been 2 days since my village's downfall..." said yumi sadly. Kisone silently lapped up some water and whined because she felt his master's despair. She patted his head as he leaned on his paws in front of her. "Ne, dont worry kisone, we'll make it...im sure." said yumi reassuringly.

Ryu relentlessly struck at the wooden dummy. Raw fury poured into every blow, enough so as to effectively decapitate the dummy. Zakuro only narrowly avoided the flying wooden head, and made his way casually to the young prince.
"That's the third time this week, Prince Ryu. Are you certain there's nothing wrong?" He asked.
Ryu sighed resentfully. "Frankly, Zakuro-san, nothing could be any worse now. Akio is not a murderer, that much I know! And now this war means I'll never get the chance to prove it! It hardly sounds fair." He huffed, pounding a fist on the headless dummy.
"Ryu..." Zakuro backed away by one step. "Clearly you aren't feeling well. Why don't you take a few moments outside, get some fresh air?" He smiled.
"I suppose you're right." Ryu looked up, bowing briefly to Zakuro before walking out of the academy and leaning against the bridge crossing through the lake. Zakuro, meanwhile, retreated into another room of the academy.

Serenity walked around. She couldn't find the academy, and knew for fact now that the map she bought was a fake. "Oh well, they'll just yell at me for being late. As usuall," she said over her shoulder. Looking at the cat in her bag. "Well Kit, what now?"
