Aeryn Bristow, 5th year Aeryn signs her name to the list Professor Philomela has posted. She enters the teacher's office and introduces herself.Hello Professor. I'm Aeryn Bristow, just transferred here. I just wanted to meet you before we go ahead and start class on Monday. Transfiguration has always been a strong point of mine. Aeryn gives her teacher a quick smile and provides an example. She flicks her wand at a tea cup on Professor Philomela's desk and it transforms into a bunny.

Professor Ruby Philomela, TransfigurationThe Professor was indeed impressed by Aeryn's abilities, but she hated show-off's. And she expressed it.Well, Ms. Bristow. I am indeed impressed by your ability to perform non-verbal spells, and your method is very effective. Her tone went harsh. However, I have no time nor room for show-offs. You still have lots to learn, and I wouldn't want my other students feeling inadequate because of your ego. I'd appreciate if during class you did as asked and nothing more, unless necessary. Anything else, and you'll be spending your weekends with me in detention. Am I clear?

Aeryn Bristow, 5th year Aeryn felt herself blush. Never had a teacher spoken to her like this. She was embarrassed, but still, chose to continue with taking transfiguration. Professor Philomela did have a point.I apologize, Ma'am. I'll be sure to behave during class. Aeryn turned and left the office quickly. She didn't want to spend any more time with Professor Philomela than was necessary. After all, what kind of teacher didn't like a student that already knew what they were doing?

Professor Ruby Philomela, TransfigurationThe Professor was shocked by his answer. Surely Transfiguration would be the one subject any student would love to learn!Young man, I have not excused you yet! Just one moment. She picked up the piece of parchment bearing the names of those students who had signed up for her class.Aaron Snyder? Related to Professor Darren Snyder, Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher? hmm....Now why is it that you don't care for my art?

Professor Ruby Philomela, TransfigurationProfessor Philomela was quite shocked at the tone Professor Syder's relative had taken with her. Impressed, but shocked. No student had ever spoken to her in such a way.And what do you think of animagi? Many things you see in this school are forms of transfiguration, Mr. Syder. It can be very useful, especially in times where information and items must be kept hidden. It can be a wonderful skill for entertaining, and very practical when one is protecting himself from dangerous creatures. The Professor hated hearing negative comments regarding transfiguration. Of course, these students had not experienced a true time of need for the skill. They only knew a time of peace and tranquility. If you have a better suggestion as to what we should learn during the blocks of time this class uses, however, I'd be happy to hear them.

Aaron Snyder 5th year Aaron shook his head. Animagi; I find a waste as well, to hide from someone just maes you weak. Nothing more and if your that much of a bore to keep your company entertained by magic, well then it must make my point sound more Professor. Now I really don't have time to chat anymore, May I go now?

Professor Ruby Philomela, TransfigurationThe professor had become rather upset with this young man. How foolish he was being! To think, transfiguration useless! If there were any useless subject at this school, it would be Defense Against the Dark Arts! No dark wizard had risen in 19 years!!Before you leave, young man, I want to make something very clear. You will attend every class. You will do every assignment to the best of your ability. No excuse short of death will be considered acceptable. My class can be fun or it can be miserable - that is up to you. And, if you should ever take a rude tone with me again, Mr Snyder, you will find your tongue tied in so many knots you'll be afraid to speak for the next 10 years. You are dismissed! ((ooc: Nvr, please edit your posts and make them literate. they are very hard to read))
