Some people write it out with a pencil and a peice of paper, these arent really high tech games, at most they might use a reference book if its a D&D game, but most RPs are either a mostly original world made up, or a book/movie world that people are allowed to role play their actions in to a different story.
Its like taking a bunch of people and getting them together to write a book.

Making an RP requires skill, knowledge, and imagination. those are the 3 main things required. Another thing required is creativity, to keep the rp alive and keep the plot moving.
Good RPs have a good plot. A plot that doesn't get boring after a while, and if it does the Creator finds a unique way to revive it. (that's where creativity comes in). 3nodding
Picking a topic, most people just pick whatever genres they like (Futuristic, Medieval, Fantasy). but whatever genre you pick make sure you have a good plot.
But please, please, please. for my sake and for many other people's sakes please don't start a vampire/lycan rp. sad We have a terribly high number of them.
