Early one morning, Kohana sat up from her bed of fresh, lush leaves. As usual, she gave her wings a big stretch. Only this morning, the sun was not yet high enough in the sky for her eyes to need to adjust to its light. Despite the early time, the air was already humid and thick. The strange, hot temperature was perventing Kohana from sleeping soundly anylonger. After several failed attempts to return to the world of dreams, Kohana simply got up and proceeded to arrange the leaves of her bed into a neat pile.
Once stepping outside her tree home, Kohana immediately saw that there were no other senrei sitting in the usual eating spot down by the shore. Unable to contain her morning hunger, Kohana slowly drifted down to the trees. Looks like I'm on my own this morning. Kohana thought. Well, this really isn't so bad. I do have the crashing waves and the chirping insects to keep me company. She decided, peacefully examining what fruits were ripe for picking.

Yuki Haru woke up like every morning, energetic and totally lost. 'The moon was so pretty last night!' Yuki thought to herself. Yuki sat up and looked around, She was surrounded by many, many fruit trees. 'I wonder if those trees were there last night?..' She then saw something that captured her eye. There was something shiny that she could see through the trees! "Shiny!" She screamed out as she pounced upon the object. The object in question was another senrei's tail...

Just a moment before Kohana was going to stand up and pluck a sweet fruit off its branch, she heard the frantic brushing of leaves from behind her. This noise was followed by a heavy weight leading and grabbing on her tail. Instead of freaking out and yelping, Kohana merely turned her head to discover what had jumped at her. She was far too at peace that morning to react any other way.
Kohana wasn't sure what she thought the thing would be, but she couldn't help feeling a little suprised when she saw another senrei hanging on to her tail. The other female was prodominately white with odd spots of several shades of purple.
"Oh, nice to meet you. I didn't think any other senrei were up yet. The heat woke me up." Kohana said, laughing lightly. "I see you've taken a liking to my tail."

"Morning!" Yuki Haru said while still staring at the shiny thing. "Hee hee. " She wispered to herself. "Shiny..." Yuki Haru was mesmerised by the shine strawberry looking tail gems. "Me like shiny. How you get shiny!?" Yuki's brain was now full turned into mush. Shiny objects often did that to her. It was then she cought sight of her own tail. "Hee hee! More shinys!" Yuki Haru then proceeded to roll around playing with her own tail. ((You never said tag. o-o))

((Yes I did silly xDD You might have just missed it 3nodding I'll make it stand out more next time~))
Kohana couldn't help but laugh happily. The other senrei was so cute and playful! She bounced around like child; curiously studying all the things everyone else just considered normal and boring. "Good morning. I don't believe I've ever met you before." Kohana though aloud. She knew that if she had met this senrei at some time or another, she would certainly have remembered her. She had one of those personalities that stood out. In a good way. "My name's Kohana. It's wonderful to meet someone who's so perky this early in the morning." She joked lightly.
Resuming her calm seating position, Kohana asked, "Would you like any fruit to eat?"

((o-o You put the name backwards! xD You put Haru Yuki! xD)) "Yay fruit! I like fruit! Except if there is green fuzzies on it, then it's bad. Oh! I'm Yuki Haru! You can just call me Yuki though." Yuki stopped playing with her tail and started looking around at the trees of fruit. She saw her favorite fruit, bananas, on a lone and far tree. "Bananas!" She bounded over to the tree and tried to climb it. She forgets she has wings sometimes...

"Ah, I don't much care for tough fruits. Like pineapples and such. They're too much work for such little flavor, I think." Kohana managed to throw out before Yuki ran over to concur the banana tree. She tried to contain a laugh that was bubbling up as the other senrei struggled with the tree. Bananas are one of the few fruits that Kohana has to actually fly up to get. The trees they come from never seen to have any useful branches for climbing, either.
Giving herself a push off the ground, Kohana lifted herself into the air and plucked a few bananas from the pack. They tumbled heavily to the ground, but suprisingly didn't turn to mush on contact. Kohana then returned to the ground with a sound thud.

Yuki Haru was hit in the head by one of the bananas. "Ow. Hey! Bananas!" Yuki punced on the closest banana and tried to open it. She was failing to a great degree. "I can't get it to open..." Yuki sat with her tail curled around her, depressed from failure, stareing at the banana.

Kohana laughed nervously when one banana bopped Yuki one the head. She sometimes had this strange erge to laugh during somewhat akward situations. But then she smiled sweetly and reached for the stubborn banana in Yuki's hand. "I sometimes have trouble opening them if they come right off the tree." Kohana spoke honestly. Over time, she'd learned tricks to getting to the good part of most of the fruits on the island.
Holding the stem of the banana in both paws, she flicked it foward very quickly. The flick was followed by a satisfying snap as the skin peeled away from the fruit.

"Yay! Can you teach me how to do that?" Yuki Haru looked like she was about to pounce on Kohana out of pure ozzing happyness. Yuki didn't wait for her response and tried to mock the movements to open bananas and it worked. "Whee!" Yuki squeeled with delight as she munched on the freshly peeled banana.

Kohana giggled while she opened a banana for herself. She'd never really thought about how exactly she opened the fruit or how she learned to open them that way. The situation just called for her to do it. As Kohana sat, tenderly biting off small pieces of banana, she tried to think of how to explain the trick.
It was one of those things that she just knew how to do and never had to explain. However, she gave it a go. "Lets see, first take another banana in both your paws by the stem," Kohana explained slowly, handing Yuki another banana from the ground, "and just flick it as hard as you can!" But just after speaking those words, Kohana remembered that she forgot to mention one thing; not to let go of the banana.

Yuki Haru did as Kohana said and, sure enough, let go of the banana. "No!" she cried,"Come back banana! Come back!" Yuki Haru went to go after the banana but it fell down a well placed rabbit hole.

Kohana watched in disbelief as the banana slide down into the rabbit hole. The chances of this happening seemed to be close to zero; but wasn't the saying always what ever will go wrong, will go wrong at the worst possible momet? A second later, a very upset rabbit popped its head out of the hole. His face seemed to say, 'Fruit? Ew! I want veggies!' He threw the banana back out of the hole, but it was too mushy now.
"Oops" Kohana said, giggling.

"I guess I am just not a good banana opener." Yuki Haru seemed a little sad but not tail curl sad. "Do you like stories, Kohana? I know a story." Yuki Haru was back to her normal self. "It is about magic! A magic cave that glows like a rainbow! It's so beutiful!!!" Yuki Haru's eyes fogged as if she was reminesing the happiest day of her life.

"Really? That sounds wonderful." Kohana answered. She'd always heard stories of the lake and waterfalls, but never of such a cave. But of course, Kohana knew the story would most likely be a myth. "And I just so happen to love stories. Why don't you tell it now?" Kohana asked, looking for a comfortable place to set herself in the sand. She chose a shady spot by a tree that she could rest her back against.
