Plot
Welcome to Ryndaal, a kingdom in turmoil, but to understand it's suffering, we must first take you back over two hundred years to when our world was split into five factions, each with a substantiol civilisation. Each faction was lead by a magus, their leader, one of the greatest magical warriors ever. Together, the five magi were working to create a true peace between the kingdoms and unite humanity together for greater ideals. To do this they did the impossible, they created the third wind of magic.
You don't know what the winds of magic are? Well let me explain:
At the poles of our planet flow two unimaginable sources of power, this power spreads across our planet, but grows weaker the further it stretches out. From the north spreads the wind of Chaos and from the South comes the Eternal wind, this meant that those living at our equator were weakest and paranoid, disallowing a united kingdom if it would be unfair.
So came the Magi's idea, harnessing the two winds they forged a third wind, the wind of Mana, that spread in both directions from our equator, giving all five factions and equal source of power. It was our saviour and our undoing.
In the following years strange signs appeared across the newly created Ryndaal, strange monoliths bursting forth from the ground in the north, crops inexplicably dying and diseases spreading through entire communities, then they came.
From the bowels of our planet itself the Skitani came, a race of demonic creatures feeding off the magics of our realm. Spawned from now forbidden chaos magic they quickly swarmed the northern populace killing everything and what was driving them on you ask? The third wind, Mana, another energy source that if they could use, they could elliminate humanity itself and in doing so, the three winds would be theirs.
But there is resistance, our equator is now a constant battleground as Skitani surge forward. But as is our way, humanity must survive. That war has continued to this day, neither side giving in. But soon comes a turning point, let us pray that it is in our favour.
