1.Unlimited Blade Works
In this scenario, the initial threat to Shirō comes from Caster. She has been gathering mana via draining the life force of people throughout the city. In addition, she has already defeated Rider. In this scenario Rin is more intent on killing Shirou than in Fate, but in the end, Shirō develops more feelings for Rin than he did in Fate. Later on, she agrees to team up with him in order to defeat Caster, the more immediate threat, first. However, before Shirō and Rin can set a plan in motion, Caster strikes, using her Noble Phantasm, a dagger called Rule Breaker, to sever the contract between Saber and Shirō so that she can set a contract up between herself and Saber. Archer and Rin attack Caster, but, much to Rin and Shirō's surprise, Archer betrays them, opting to join Caster.


2. Fate/Hollow Ataraxia
The plot of Fate/hollow ataraxia is based half a year after the events of Fate/stay night. Like its preceding counterpart, the story is set in Fuyuki City.

Bazett Fraga McRemitz, a member of the Mages' Association and a master in the 5th Holy Grail War, wakes on the fourth day of the 5th Holy Grail war with a new servant, Avenger, and no memory of what happened to her beforehand. She and Avenger set off to fight and win the Holy Grail War.

Meanwhile, Shirō Emiya lives a peaceful life with all his friends, from the 5th Holy Grail War. After her experiment alters the event-horizon changes time and space, Rin Tōsaka leaves for the Mages' Association in England to fix things. The Servants sense a new danger while dark creatures appear soon afterward. Shirō, as a precaution, sets off to ensure nobody is in danger and instead finds himself frequently meeting a mysterious girl, Caren Ortensia.

Both Bazett and Shirō find themselves in time loop that lasts four days, beginning of the fourth day of the 5th Holy Grail War. Each time they die or survive four days, they always awake on the first day of the loop aware of what has happened to them since the first time loop began. Determined to end the loop, Bazett, Avenger, and Shirō fight to discover the truth behind what's causing the endless four days.

3. Heaven's FeelA completely new character, Zouken Matou, appears in this scenario. Initially uninterested in the Grail War, he summons the servant True Assassin upon seeing Rider's loss to Saber. He directs a mysterious shadowy entity after summoning True Assassin. During this time, Saber defeats Caster while the shadow assists True Assassin in defeating Lancer, and soon after, Saber herself.

Upon Saber's loss, Shirou continues to fight in the War, determined to stop the killing. He decides to join forces with Rin, but, much to his surprise, discovers that Rider has allied herself with him. She has survived because her true Master, Sakura Matou, still lives. Unfortunately, Sakura's life is in danger, as a parasite exists within her, spreading pain throughout her nervous system like a circuit; if this parasite is left unchecked, Sakura will die. In order to assure her survival, Sakura is forced to draw the life out of others. Rin is determined to save Sakura before she becomes a mass murderer, and intends to kill her. This decision is motivated by the revelation that Sakura is Rin's sister. In addition, Shirou is forced to make a critical decision - fight for justice, which would end in Sakura's death, or save someone dear to him. He sharply disagrees with Rin, and decides to save Sakura's life.


4. Fate/Zero
The storyline of Fate/Zero takes place 10 years prior to the events of Fate/stay night, detailing the events of the Fourth Holy Grail war in Fuyuki City.
