Quick Description: No'Ra is a small racially diverse nation. Unfortunately, their high tolerance has brewed discontent among the other nations, and now, No'Ra is wading through a sea of enemies, beset upon all sides. Prime Minister Konat has issued a call to arms for any individuals who wish to help. The Guard (army) has dispatched companies to each town, and the Guard is actively recruiting adventurers who wish to do odd jobs that the Guard can no longer do. Will you answer the call and help No'Ra? Or will you allow the Armies of the South to sweep through and destroy a nation that took hundreds of years to establish?
You will all start in Isconda, a small town in northern No'Ra. It is a small city with wooden palisades (walls) circling it. To the west is a small forest, and to the east is a small river. A company of Guardsmen has been sent to Isconda. From there, the Guard Chaperone (Commanding Officer of Companies) has started actively recruiting members to help with the duties of the Guardsmen. Signs have been placed around the Taverns, shops, and on the sides of buildings, requesting help. Should you decide to help, the sign will direct you to the northern part of town, where Chaperone Torish (Tor-ish) resides, along with the rest of the company.
Map Sorry about the bad quality of the map, I have a very old scanner, and the gray line in the middle is a side affect.
The map is common knowledge and can be obtained for 10 gold, which includes a small map case and the map on a piece of parchment. It weighs a total of 1/2 a pound.Nations of
Terrath: No'Ra: A small northern nation that is constantly beset by snow and monsters from the north and south. All races reside there in harmony. Though sometimes racial tensions can run high. The Army is called the Guard, and their Company CO's are Chaperones. No'Ra is led by Prime Minister Konat, who receives his power from the Senate.
Aniath: A large economically powerful nation, Aniath has vast farmlands that are used mainly for grazing. Aniath is slightly communist in that the government controls a lot of the economy. Humans and Halflings make the majority of races here. Most other races are 'discouraged' from living there. Aniath's military is the Federal Army. Aniath is led Chairman Konile (k-Oe-nile) who receives his power through his control of the Federal Army.
Dur'Ga: A large economic powerhouse, Dur'Ga has enormous mines that bring forth all metals. Dur'Ga is a fascist government, controlling a lot of it's peoples everyday life, but leaving the economy to it's own devices. Dwarves and Gnomes make up the majority of races here, with the Dwarves living in subterranean cities, and the gnomes living in cities on the surface. The military is the Dur'Gan National Guard. Dur'Ga is led by the Dargo Family, with the head of the family being the 'Honorable' Dardo'Han. The Dargo family gains it's power through the Secret Dwarf/Gnome military police called The Investigators.
Kal'Na: Kal'Na is a nation that reveres the woods. Its nation does hardly any training, only trading with the other nations in times of need, thus, they have no main export. Kal'Na is a Democratic Monarchy, with the King being evicted by popular vote when he doesn't do his job properly. Not much is known about Kal'Na, but from the few who have immigrated from the forests one can ascertain that the government is very non-invasive, letting the people and the economy run on their own. Elves and Half-Elves make up the majority of people here, with most of the other races being turned away at the Forest Gate. There is no formal military, although militia training goes on twice a week and is led by Guardians, which are separated into their specialized form of combat. Kal'Na is currently led by King Elnohan (el-no-han), who gains his power directly from the people.
The Ruined Empire: Is not a formal nation, but rather an ancient nation of humans that was destroyed from within. Now, dark evil permeates the ruins that are scattered throughout the once great nation. Ancient fortresses loom over the countryside with their empty windows staring towards the horizon. As far as anyone can tell the cities are completely abandoned, and no one travels there unless they wish to die.
So this is my idea. I don't know if I was supposed to ask permission from someone before posting, and if I was I can simply delete this since I do have it saved. I'm looking for four 1st level characters to join this campaign. That's about it. Anyone interested?
