Even though Takeuchi-san completely dismissed the idea of her taking over the series, what would you think of it if she did?
It'd be completely different, bad idea.
Even though it'd be different, being a Hunter x Hunter fan, I'd still give it a chance.
Takeuchi-san's good enough to handle the series, I'd be for the idea.

i haven't read the manga yet, but i'm on the second ova and i actually like it. and one thing that i didn't expect to like so much is the theme music. the music for this series is so good!!! whee i especially like the last opening for the first season by wino and the op and ed for the first ova season, but i like most of theme songs for this series pretty well.

though i've heard about the creator's hiatus and how it's totally killing the fans, especially since the scheduled comeback was missed and now there isn't really much news about the creator continuing his work, i still haven't felt the blow since i haven't reached the end of what's already been released, but once i do reach the end, there isn't much doubt in my mind that i'll become devastated along with all the other hxh fans out there. though the thought of his wife taking up his work instead is kind of amusing, i can't really imagine what would happen if she really were to take it into her own hands, mostly because their art styles are so different. or at least sailor moon compared to hxh since i haven't read any of her other works...

and it's interesting to see how the quality of the anime has been changing throughout each season since it's spanned out through such a wide period of production time, and already in the second ova it seems pretty clean. it's kinda funny to watch the beginning of an anime when it looks like an old series, and then at the end when it looks more like a newer series. like with hikaru no go, how the animation changed so much once it got to the four episode special, it's almost like how manga-ka develop their style while authoring a series. it's kinda nice to be able to watch along through that sort of growth.

gon's the main character, wants to find his dad, his dad's a hunter, he becomes a hunter, meets friends, goes on adventures

pretty much the whole idea of the series

some parts remind me of dbz....like the last arc in the anime where they were training in the "game." that whole deserted landscape and gon's power sorta reminds me of dbz characters too....
