Short Description- A Shorter young woman with long, wild red hair and a jackal-like yellow gaze.
"Long" Description- Adraste is a shorter young woman with pallid skin and slightly too large honey colored eyes. Her face is symmetrical and heart shaped with a chiseled, slightly upturned nose. Her lips are small and naturally dark. Her cheekbones are high and her face is finally set with an angular chin. Her movements are strong and deliberate and when she stands still she looks for all the world as if she is rooted to the ground and no power in the universe but her own will would move her. Her hair is long and looks as if it’s never been cut, wild and left in slight waves. She exudes cold pride in her every action, rather unbefitting really of a seventeen year old girl she behaves like someone much older.
History- Adraste was raised mostly by her father (Forseti Ask) as her mother (Marpesia Embla) seemed always to be traveling. The two of them got along well, generally very quiet, naturally proud creatures, there wasn’t much excitement in the life of Adraste Ask but her father made sure she did not grow too sheltered, traveling with her to different countries until her letter came for her school. These travels making her at least conversational in German and French
Once at Hogwarts, Adraste was quickly sorted into Slytherin house, though there was a long debate with the sorting hat on whether it should be Slytherin or Raven claw. She never really included herself in any one ‘posse’ that the students of her house quickly seemed to create.
She did make friends, but none of them ever rose to a ‘best friend’ status so Adraste usually kept to her cat Mordred for close company. She usually did well in her classes, her favorites being Charms and Arithmancy.
Always traveling on holidays with her father the last time she went to Haiti where her father introduced her to a gypsy witch called Marek. The woman teaching her a variety of different new potion recipes and techniques which brought her to the top of her potions class. Adraste even nearing the end of her Hogwarts stay never really thought on what she wanted to work as after her schooling, of course because of her pure-blood status there have been some attempts to lure her towards the darker sides but even still she’s indecisive.

Personality Traits- Adraste is generally a creature that works for her own benefit, not evil but she does what she likes when she bloody well feels like it. Inwardly she can ultimately be swayed by promise of power. If she likes you she’ll protect you, she’ll be loyal until you do something stupid that disproves her original idea of you. Adraste prefers the company of animals to most people, though she’s not particularly ‘tree-hugging’ in the normal sense. She’s always with her familiar, Mordred, and likes to go on hikes by herself into the woods to collect her own potions ingredients whenever she has the chance to.
Physical Traits- Adraste has a tattoo down her back following her spine of the moon phases, with the full moon at the center of the tattoo and the new moon at either end of it, every image of the moon with a different rune in it and all of them connected to one another with thorny vines and orchid flowers, the vines and flowers flowing down onto her hips as well as over her shoulders.
She has a second tattoo that is made up of magical ink that shows up only in the dark of a new moon night. Brilliant white its an almost tribal design that encircles her left eye in swirls and moon flowers that flows down onto her cheek and then her neck, stopping where it would meet the other black ink design. This design has been passed down through her mother's side of the family, all girls from the Embla clan are marked with this tattoo at the first signs of womanhood.
