then most of the other houses? I know that most Slytherins think to lowly of Hufflepuff house to be friends with them. But patience and perservance often go together and so does ambition and hard-working.

I think they probably go together more then Slytherin and Gryffindor or Slytherin and Ravenclaw. So, considering that, I think so.

That's true. If they did get along with other houses, I think it would the Hufflepuff house. Ravenclaw and Gryffindor are just too nice I think

Hufflepuff tends to stick closer to Gryffindor. It seems to me, especially since book 7, that Ravenclaw tends to be more sympathetic to Slytherin than Hufflepuff.

I think that they would get along better, for the simple fact that the Ravenclaws are always backing the Gryffindors, which probably ticks the Slytherins off to no end.
But I disagree with what Taylorsue says. I think that Hufflepuff is the nicest house, for the simple fact that it's the least prejudiced, in a manner of speaking. To be in Gryffindor you have to be brave, to be in Ravenclaw you have to be smart. Hufflepuff will take anyone, no matter what. It's open to all. I think that they are all very accepting, so they don't snub the Slytherins just because of they're house, whereas the Gryffindors and Ravenclaws do.

Remember that Salazar Slytherin encouraged pureblood wizards into his house, while Helga Hufflepuff took what was left of the students (after Gryffindor and Ravenclaw) under her care, so to speak. Edit: Eh, never mind. I just remembered Gryffindor encouraged muggleborns, hence deflating my argument. gonk
I think some Slytherin's dislike Hufflepuff. Personally, I'd hate to be in Hufflepuff, but I see no problem with being friends with one. 3nodding

Yeah, but... we're buds, right? And I'm a Gryffindor... so... maybe we're weird because we can still be friends even though we're in the houses that hate each other! w00t, weirdness!

Funny..I always thought that Ravenclaws were neutral, thought that they were on good terms (well not good terms) but were okay with Slytherin.

lol you have a goldfeesh attention span as well? lol we should totally make a club... course nothing would get done, because we'd all forget or lose focus during meetings... but still!!!
And Ravenclaws are kinda neutral, but... idk they just always seem to side with the Gryffindors to me...

I see Slytherin as the house that kind of sides alone. I kind of think they'd just take allies as need be, provided they weren't from gryffindor (usually).
I'd think Ravenclaw and Huffelpuff would get alone better than Ravenclaw and Gryffindor, even though the Ravenclaws seem to be the accepting of most others and Gryffindor seems to be the least accepting (and prideful/arrogant) group. They match Slytherin in that, but they're most boastful and Slytherins are more of the sneaky, ally, use that pride and power to secure things and not boast too much.
Heh. Ravenclaws are more neutral, Slytherin and Gryffindor butt heads, Huffelpuff is understanding, but Slytherin would probably scorn most of the other houses unless they had a reason not to. Ravenclaw and Huffelpuff are the humbler houses, I think.

I think that it's more of a Slytherin Ravenclaw , then Gryffindor Hufflepuff, just because I like to picture a Ravenclaw Huffelpuff rival going on like the Slytherin Gryffindor have but a bit more friendly.

Correct, correct. Thinking back, I'd probably agree- slytherin and griffindor rivals, and ravenclaw/huffelpuff rivals, though ravenclaw and griffindor would get along better.
Still think slytherin stands alone, though.
