I have a lv 38 druid and i am about to get moonkin so do u think think a moonkin can beat a mage because i do because of all the spell crits a Moonkin gets and a mookin also gets a 5% boost on crits and the mage has low health so a moonkin can kill a mage in 2 hits and after u hit a mage with starfire u can hit it right after that with moonfire and if he has very low health after that starfire u can spam him with moonfire

And the mage is doing... nothing? (I'm talking about 70)
Not sure about Arcane, but fire...
Either PoM Pyro, or a Sheep Pyro before you can morphand he'll easily outcrit you.
Frost is nearly the same way, with more survivability and burst.

At 70, if you see a mage casting pyro, you can easily time a starfire to end as soon as your cyclone will wear off. Your skill/luck/etc may vary. Any class can beat any class given the right circumstances and the random number generator on your side.

Depends on the skill of the Mage and the skill of the druid. Spec is also a variable to consider.
While a Druid can indeed pull off amazing Starfire Crits. There are flaws into it. For example, If a Druid starts the long process of casting Starfire, a Mage can counterspell, disabling the Oomkin's Moonfire and Starfire spell. I don't know about you, but rarey do you see a Moonkin kill anyone by spamming Wrath. And this is a factor that all Mages can do. And it's even better if the Mage is Arcane Specced.
Arcane-specced Mages also have high resistance. Given a gnome mage with Mage armor, they have alot of resistance to Arcane. About 45-50 if I'm not mistaken with talents and Mage armor + racial.
Also consider that a Fire Mage can counterspell, summon a fireball, fireblast, Blink toward them, Blastwave, Dragon's Breath, then Fireball again in a single stroke if the Druid isn't prepared for an attack like that.
Ice Mages can triple freeze, Ice Lance for 3k crits each time without worry or warning, thus a unprepared Moonkin will fall to that easily.
Druids unfortunately do not have the ability to silence or interrupt Mages while they are casting unless you spam Moonfire which overall isn't a good tactic to do. Evidently, it depends on the skill of the Mage and the Druid that will determine the victor.

I know this is level 60 pvp (lol), but this is one of the best pvp videos for a balance druid that I have seen. I had similar gear to him, and had similar results in my honor grind - he was GM when it mattered razz http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=7233177722832793241Wrath is the way to go in pvp - rapid fire them when you get crits + people will blow up. If your nature spells are countered, you have arcane to lay back on.

******** pyroblast. srsly. only good against warirors and paladins and mob pulls.
I do this- my string of instant casts- Dragon's breath to stun for 3 seconds, blast wave to slow, fire blast for damage, nova to slow the druid down, fire blast again on cooldown, and spam arc explosion until game.
With combustion, I'm nearly guaranteed three crits, which means more DoT damage from ignite. I ay try for a scorch or two, but I'm mostly instant cast.
Ah, and one more little detail. Any time you're forzen, at 70, I'll get 50% crit chance.
that's right. Elementalist FTW. when combustion is on cooldown, I still have 50% crit on shatter. Instead of a 3-minute mage, i'm more of a 30-second mage.

Kimberly Ferris Wrath is the way to go in pvp - rapid fire them when you get crits + people will blow up. If your nature spells are countered, you have arcane to lay back on. I definitely agree. Not to mention improved wrath is super spammable and less likely to break roots than starfire. Wrath is underrated I think.
