Hard to rank them, they're all awesome. But I'd have to say my order from favorite to least favorite is #5, #4, #3, #2, #1.

I find them all pretty cool in their own way. In my opinion I'm stuck between #1 and #5. They're my favourites. Congrats to who wins anyway - all the entries are superb!

I'd probably rank them:
#5, #3 (close second) #4, #1, #2
It's hard to pick, but those are just my aesthetic prefences. If I may add a thought to this:
Having a Doctor-neutral banner might be a good idea. David Tennant in the banner might discourage people looking for classic Who discussion (if they just go by the banner without checking the homepage or forum), and likewise Patrick Troughton (awesome though he is) might put off new Who fans.

I'm gonna give my own assessments here. (:
1. I like this one because it's simple, but it looks good. It also features the most prominant icon of the show - the TARDIS - in a nicely artistic shot. (:
2. This one blends colors well. The text looks nice on it, and the Doctor's expression fits. XD The only thing I don't like about it is that the image is a little squished.
3. This is, hands down, my personal favorite. And to be honest... it'll probably win first. The phrase "When I say run" COMES from the second Doctor, and no one else used that. XD And it's just a really funny gif.
4. This one used the image really really well with the text. It's a good shot of Ten, and it was nicely cropped, and the text was nicely placed. (:
5. This one is AMAZING in its use of style and design. I just really love it. I can't say quite why. XD

This is actually something I've thought of too. And now that someone else has actually voiced it, it's something I'm considering even more. XD I'd also thought of picking two or three banners and cycling through then - like, changing them maybe once a week or so. I dunno. We'll see. :B

Thats exactly what I thought! I stuck a TARDIS on one of my banners, so old-who and new-who fans will like it. Afterall, the TARDIS has been there since the beginning. xd
