I need some help and hope someone here can offer some---PLEASE!! I am on the airship in FFX, I do not have any SOSRegen items to equip, but I have 99 high potions, potions and other stuff of that amount. my characters are all pretty high levels, the strongest equipment I have, but how can I defeat that awful Evrae? I have died 4 times, so now I am building up my people's grids levels...does that help? Like if someone is at level 1, and someone else is at level 7, does that make a difference?
Sorry, but if I cant beat that dragon/serpent thingy, I'll have to start all over again!! Thanx!!!

I guess you should just keep levelling up. Evrae drove me nuts the first time I played too.

Umm, yeah..
The S levels are how far you can move on the grid. I'd suggest moving some people.
Like... S lvl 1 = 1 spot, and activating the spot next to it.
Evrae also likes petrifying/stone if I remember. So buy armor that protects against that.

I don't mean to brag but why do people keep saying they have so much trouble with him?.... In both run throughs I've beaten him with ease.....
But my only suggestion. ALWAYS USE RIKKU'S MIX!!! =D
Her Mix overdrive is by far the best overdrive in the game. surprised
And to rid your petrify problem, use an Al Bhed potion, does wonders. =]

3nodding Wow, food for thought there from all of you, and yes, I like Rikku's MIX overdrive, but not sure which mixes would do the most damage on Evrae. I am happy for you that Evrae was easy as pie...maybe you just are very talanted with RPGs!!! You are very lucky!(i'm not gonna be jealous*)[ 4laugh /color]

the "pull back" and "move in" commands are a HUGE part of this battle, when your moved in it will suck in its breath, pull back immediately before it attacks again and you dodge the poison breath. Use those Al Bhed Potions to cure any petrify/poison and you should be ok, use Tidus's Haste or, if u have it, Hastega, it works wonders. I think darkness might also work, but not to sure...hope I helped!

yea sry to say this but Evrae is basically the dividing line between the easy part of the game and the tougher part, but seymour natus is after Evrae and thats an eeeeeezy battle, when you fight evrae Atlanta, its no worries, 2 phoenix downs on him and he dead, after Bevelle the action cools off and you can sit back and level up ur characters so dont worry, after Evrae its pretty easy until Seymour Flux, and we need a thread on how to kill that thing because i hate Flux lol
