Entei layed sprawled out under the shade of a tree, to take a break from the heat. He listened to the sound of moving water from a stream that was closeby. Raising his head often he would survey the meadow he was in. Taking in the strong fragrance of the flowers that covered the area, he decided to it was time to get up and take a quick drink.
Casually stretching each leg and shaking himself quickly afterwards, he headed towards the stream. Muscles twitched as he took a few steps into the cool stream to gulp down some water. Raising his head now rarely he began to wonder why he hadn't seen any other around, maybe they too were looking for shade.

Luna was exhausted from the heat. ''They're needs to be more shade around.'' She spoke quietly and gently. Hearing a stream rumble further ahead, Luna galloped towards it. Finally, somewhere to cool off. Her white hooves pounded loudly against the ground.
Splashing in the river, she looked to the side. A dark figure was a good distance away, but she had never seen anyone who had these looks. Stepping a bit closer, she squinted her crystal blue eyes to look at him.

Hearing the sound of hooves off in the distance he glanced up. Spotting a creme colored horse with darker markings he raised his head higher to have a better look. Noticing this stranger was looking towards him he called out "Greetings." He took a few steps towards her in the water, it was when he paused that he realized that the mare nearby didn't have any dark marking at all but she was wearing two-legger clothing, 'How interesting' he thought. Curiousity getting the best of him he decided to approach her.

Listening closely to his movements, and then words, Luna raised her head and looked at him. ''Hello.'' Debating whether or not to step closer, she noticed he took a few steps. Luna shrugged and took a few steps closer.
The stallion had very detailed markings. Others would say they were 'weird' but to Luna, they were very fascinating. She had never met anyone of this amazing type. Bringing her attention back to his face, she slightly nodded her head and waited for him.

Watching her take a few more steps closer, he slightly quickened his pace. When he finally reached her, he gave a slight bow to her doing his best to keep from dunking his head in in the water. "How are you madam?" he playfully asked her. He carefully eyed the clothing that she wore. "What a nice..." he pasued 'what was it a pendent?' "...pendent I believe. Is that what it is?" He pointed his nose towards it. "Where are my manners" he gave a slight chuckle "My name is Entei, would you care to tell me yours?"

Luna gave a small bow, she looked down and saw her cork necklace. Locking it in her jaw, the mare lifted it to his eyes view, or as high as she could reach. ''This? Its corks from butterbeer.'' Luna couldn't help but giggle at the sound of the word. ''Ahh, nice to meet you Entei. My name is Luna Lovegood. You may Call me Luna if you please.''

He watched her get ahold of it and lift it up to show him. He carefully examined it "Butterbeer" he repeated as he admired it. Then swtching his attention back to her "A pleasure to meet you Luna" he happily chimed. Noticing an unusual item behind her ear he questioned about what it was. He shifted occasionally to keep his legs from getting colder.

Luna smiled and started to speak. ''Oh thats an ear-'' She jumped out of the water onto land. ''Sorry about that, I get so into conversation and forget the setting.'' Luna smiled and looked back at Entei. This one is rather nice. The creme colored mare listened to the rushing river, it was rather a pleasent sound.

He followed her out of the water and shook the water off his legs. "Don't worry about it" he laughed slightly "That happens to alot of us I believe." Feeling the heat again and worried that might make the mare uncomfortable he asked "Would you like to hang out in the shade" He pointed with his head towards the tree, where he was resting earlier.

Looking at his direction, she nodded. ''Sure.'' Luna walked slowly next to the stallion towards the shaded tree. When they were fully under the tree, she shook her mane and layed down. Looking back up to the Stallion she smiled and spoke gently. ''So how are you today, Entei?''

He watched her as she layed down. He pawed softly at the ground then after a few circles to push the grass he plopped down near her. "I can't really complain about anything today" he grinned "especially now, since I was getting bored about being the only one it seems in the meadow and now I have someone to talk to. How about yourself?"

Luna looked back at Entei's caramel eyes. ''Yes, it was getting very lonely by ones self.'' The mare shifted her body so she could lean against the tree trunk. ''I'm pretty good Entei, I'm gald I met you.'' She tossed her mane to one side of her face and smiled back at the Stallion.

He smiled back at her enjoying the good company. "As am I" he replied to her comment. Stretching his legs out, he glanced at her clothes and her hair as she tossed it. He paused to survey the scenery again before returning eye contact with the mare. "What nice weather lately, but it makes one wonder how long it shall last" he spoke calmly.

''Yes, but the summer can become the burning temperatures..Whereas the winter can freeze. I believe the fall is the best, not too hot or cold.'' Luna stood up straight and looked at Entei.
