Discuss what you prefer and why. Side Topic: What do you think of the new iMac?

PCs. You know, when it comes to computers, I believe some degree of complexity is necessary. However, Mr. Jobs doesn't agree with me, which is why I prefer PCs. Sure Macs are very sexy looking, but it lacks the complexity and power a PC can provide through Windows.

I hate how the new iMacs look. And I'm not a fan of their OS, but they do make a quality machine.
I'm bummed that Best Buy and Apple are opening a partnership, this means that I will be getting a lot of training on macs.

Is that a remote with the Mac? Why the hell do you need a remote? It looks like an iPod interface, so I assume it's for playing media? But it's a PC, why can't you just walk over and click with your mouse, or is Apple doing away with the mouse now?

Seriously, if you want simple, don't bother with a Mac. This PC here gives the same level of accessibility, but is equally complex to a normal PC.

My roommate has an iMac at work and he is always complaining about it. Personally, I prefer PCs because they're more accessible and straightforward. I've never understood the elitist appeal of Macs.

MACs are only "less complex" because Apple likes to have control over their product, making it higher quality. Microsoft's intent is really to hold the market, so they made an operating system and let anyone else make a computer for it.
It really depends on what you want. I'm probably going for a MAC whenever I can make my own office. They would work better for music software, photo editing, video, AND they run Microsoft Office, so I see no need getting a PC for that stuff. When it comes to gaming, though, PCs are definitely higher up. Apple just doesn't have the following because there is no standard for PC gaming. If games for MAC SET standards for games, then it might get a better lineup, but no guarantee for a following. PCs let you make a gaming PC as strong as you want, and with any peripherals.
EDIT: I like the look of the new iMACs. I like the look of Apple overall. I'd like to just get a chance to sit down and look at all the aspects of the operating system.

Anyways, how old are the MACs? I thought they are similar, but at the same time, I think every MAC is optimized -- essentially -- because Apple likes customization... At any rate, the built-in virus protection from being less used is a nice feature.

Well of course....you have to want it that much more xd Funny story, a friend of a friend is completely anti-Microsoft. He has NOTHING MS on his computer. So this guy is trying to hack him right, and the anti-Gates sees what he's trying to do, which is open the Windows folder, which obviously does not exist. Someone gets the bright idea of making a folder, NAMING it "Windows", and putting a virus in it. Never happened again.

It feels good...
For playing games, PC. Otherwise, I prefer a Mac. I don't really know why because my Mac Mini died on me after nine months. It's fixable, but my computer wiz uncle and cousin both are unable to fix it...actually, I don't think my cousin even tried. >_> Apple just won't do it because they're asses.
I loved my Mac though, when it was actually working it was awesome.
...to know you're mine.

I wanna find something I've wanted all along.... Why can't they just say Windows or Mac? I don't see why Windows is representing as "PCs". PC stands for Personal Computer, does it not? You can install Linux on a PC. Anyway, if you're talking hardware and OS-wise, I would say PCs. I don't think you can install Windows or Linux or anything like that on a Mac, can you? And if you're going farther into OS, it would be a hard choice for me. Windows is the most supported when it comes to games. And everything just plain runs smoother and better on Linux even if it's not as widely supported. And as for Macs, they're really good when it comes to photo and video editing. But I think I'd stay on the Windows and Linux side. Dual booting rules lol ....Somewhere I belong
