History
They started as a group of satanic ninja. The group was known for summoning demons from Hell. Once they heard about the Chishio sword they tracked it down and claimed it for themselves. After years of possessing the sword they became cursed with a thirst for blood. This marked the beginning of vampires. Along the years the vampires created a caste system. Vampire Lords are the top of the food chain, being the oldest and strongest. They can control and are feared by other vampires of lower castes. Pure Bloods were next in importance and power. "Pure Bloods" may also include Vampire Lords, but usually only refers to vampires below Vampire Lords. After them are the bites, who are regarded as nothing next to Pure Bloods. The Vampire King is above all other vampires. The king is usually automatically dictated by the other Pure Bloods, who recognize who the strongest vampire is. There has never been a conflict before over who becomes king, mostly because the title Vampire King hasn't been around that long. The Vampire King supposedly can control the entire clan and all vampires but no king has ever bothered giving orders before. It is questionable whether the vampires will actually listen to the king or not.

Kekkei Genkai
A vampire gains knowledge when drinking blood from a person. He must drink blood in order to stay awake. If he doesn't have enough blood then he will become "dormant." Vampires are able to regenerate from only a drop of blood or a single cell (although it will take a while). They have super stamina, speed, strength and senses. On top of that they have telekinesis, telepathy and the ability to fly (which is probably just them using telekinesis on themselves). The main drawback is if they are exposed to UV rays (such as sunlight) they lose their powers.

This person was born a vampire and is granted full power of the bloodline. He has the ability to copy other kekkei genkai. The amount of blood he drains from the victim determines how much of the kekkei genkai he copies. This means he requires all of the victim's blood in order to fully copy the kekkei genkai. The thing is, he only gets 1 chance to copy the kekkei genkai. If someone else comes along with a stronger form of the kekkei genkai, and he already copied it, he cannot copy it again. Normally a vampire can only use 1 copied kekkei genkai at a time. By activating "Full Power," a vampire is able to use all copied kekkei genkai at once.

This person was not born as a vampire but was bitten, and is therefore called a "bite." The user gains some of his master's vampire power, which is less to prevent the bite from becoming stronger than the master. Since he was not born a vampire he cannot develop his vampire powers to make them stronger. He gains telepathic communication with his master, which makes them share knowledge. Only the master is able to deny knowledge to a bite. It is nearly impossible for a bite to hide knowledge from the master. This allows each of them to use each other's jutsu without needing to learn it themselves.
