While getting free of Ice was a rarity, it was something he had managed to do when Shade visited. As much as he wanted to talk to Shade, he still had memories of his nightmare a while back. He didn't want to think of that.
In other words, Walter and Oblivion were heading down the street, looking around curiously. There was supposed to be an apple orchard around here somewhere, he thought. He had seen it once while running around with his sister.
He could go for apples. They were almost as good as cookies!

Althalus had been standing on the street corner nonchalantly, examining the side of the trees without much interest. Show no curiousity, no-one gets suspicious.....
Except maybe them? pointed out Stealth aimiably, and Althalus' head flicked round, blinking dark-ringed eyes at the other passersby. Surely that was Walter and Oblivion?
For a moment he hesitated. It couldn't have been anything more than a coincidence, he told himself firmly, though he had long ago decided that it had to have been the other Forgotten's fault. Such a dream like that.....
He loked back warily, heart pounding suddenly, unsure of whether to go over and say anything.

"I coulda sworn it was closer," Walter told Oblivion, looking irritated. "I wanna apple."
'Maybe you imagined it,' Oblivion said. 'I don't remember an apple tree.'
"Course you don't, the apples weren't metal. They were big and red and--" he stopped as he caught sight of a familiar face. "Hey, look, It's Althy!"

Althalus tensed, and then turned, a grin spreading across his face, bounding over to crouch by the other Forgotten.
"Hey, Walter! Long time no see, huh?"
Stealth peeked out of his collar, small black eyes appraising. Greetings.

Walter grinned at him, having no clue he had had a nightmare of any type. "We're looking for the apple place," he said seriously. "We're gonna steal one."
'Greetings,' Oblivion said, unconsciously copying the other forgotten's greeting. 'He's the one looking, I'm perfectly fine without finding them.'
"You need to try to eat more than just metal," Walter told her. "I doubt it tastes good."
'You eat what you like and I'll eat what I like,' she said.

Althalus paused for a moment, and then grinned again, firmly pushing the ideas from his mind. Ignore that for now. If tonight he had another dream, that would be a different matter, but for now.....
"Steal apples, huh?" Althalus smiled expansively. "Walter, you have come to just the right man." He looked down a bit further, taking his cue from what Walter said, and made his tone more charming. "And hey, Oblivion, why not just try one, huh? You never know..."
Stealth rolled her eyes slightly, disappearing under Althalus's clothes again for a moment before sticking her head out of his sleeve. If she doesn't want, she doesn't want.

'I don't want,' Oblivion agreed. The idea of eating regular food was as unappealing to her as the idea of eating metal was to Walter.
"I think it's this way," Walter said, pointing forward and starting to walk again.

Althalus blinked, and then reached forward to catch at Walter's shoulder with a reproving tut.
"Okay, kid, first thing you learn about stealing things? Don't take the front route, huh?"
He straightened up, looking around, before grinning. "If you follow me, we'll go round the back way, just in case anyone else is there. Okay?"

Walter blinked, as if that idea hadn't occured to him. "Okay!" he said agreeably, willingly following the other male away. "D'you know where they are?"

Althalus nodded solemnly. "You're right, they are that direction, but we're going to the back wall. Can you climb?" He looked back, eying up Oblivion somewhat askance. "I doubt your Oblivion can though...."

"If I stay close enough she can stay on the other side of the wall, right?" Walter said. Oblivion didn't climb, at all. "Is the wall metal?"

"No, it's brick. Metal's no good next to trees." Althalus looked slightly askance, and kept trotting down the road and round a few corners, before gesturing grandly at the said wall. "Tadaaa..... "

"Oooh," Walter said. "I can climb that! Lemme on your back, 'Blivion."
'Oh for crying out--fine, but you owe me," Oblivion told him, moving to the wall and letting him climb on top of her. There he could reach the top of the wall to scramble his way up.

Althalus measured up the wall, and then took a breath to leap and scrabble up the wall, pulling his feet up to crouch on the top, looking around before grinning.
"Nice. Stepladder." He stuck his tongue out, holding out a gloved hand for Walter to take if he needed it.

Walter took it, hauling himself up so he was sitting over the edge of the wall, looking down. "Can we jump or should we climb?"
