Where the story began:

During the dreadful war between the Saxons and the Britons, Prince Pendragon, brother to Uther, was killed in battle. Uther, rising to power, acquired the name of the prince - hence the name Uther Pendragon. Needing comfort in a time of blindness and despair, Uther took great confidence in his chief advisor, Merlin, whom had also served the former prince. At Uthur's request, Merlin have magically sent enormous stones from Ireland, to form the burial spot of Prince Pendragon.

Merlin then went to Carlisle to form the Round Table, seating numerous nobles of the country. They were bound by Oath to serve each other and their country with the most imperial manner possible. Soon after, at the grand festival of Carlisle, Uther became entranced with Igrain, wife of Gerlois, Duke of Tintadiel. Displeased with the King's conduct, Gerlois and Igrain fled the festival, disreguarding etiquette to their king. Uther needing disguise to fight for Igrain, declared Gerlois a rebel. The king then sent battle into Tintadiel, confining Gerlois, and asking another favor of Merlin.

This allowed Uther enough time to enchant the Dutchess. One dark and somber night, Merlin, with magical powers, transformed Uther to mirror Gerlois. The deceitful Uther and Igraine conceived a child. In time, the Duke was killed, Uther wedded Igrain, and produced a son, Arthur.

At the event of his birth, young Arthur was taken by Merlin, as payment for Merlin's sorcery. He was to be raised by another knight, Sir Ector. Ector, a true and noble knight, raised Arthur, alongside of his own son Sir Kay. His childhood was pleasant and free of troubles. At the age of 15, Sir Kay, and Arthur were testing their gallant skills, when Arthur saw a sword gleaming from a stone nearby. Drawing closer with excitement and uncertainty, Arthur noticed an inscription on the stone - "He who so ever draws forth this sword from the stone shall be the rightful king of England." Arthur effortlessly pulled the sword from the stone, proclaiming himself the new King of Briton.

The magical sword of King Arthur is known as a mystical power in its own rights, as well a vital part in King Arthur's reign of Camelot. According to legend, this great sword, Excalibur was broken in battle against King Pellinor. It was later returned to Arthur by The Lady of the Lake. The sword aided Arthur, until the rumored event of his death.

In his disappearance, Arthur left behind his most loyal of subjects. The Knights of the Round Table. Notorious to the legend. Seekers of virtue and a defender of the weak. Striving for excellence. Acting with strength on one hand, and courtesy and respect on the other. The Knights shared the ideal of rightness that resonates with their every heartbeat. They were the spark of nobility using their considerable strength to defend the faith and becoming the physical defenders of the country and her ideals.The must not fail or the society to which be will perish. Here are Arthur's most cherished Knights of the Round Table.

The Knights of the Round Table:
(Accepted Applications)

Character Name: Sir. Lainathion Raunien (Sir. Lain for short.)
Age:25
Race: Elf
Gender: Male
Role: Knight
Job: Scout
Appearance: [x]
Bio: Lain was born in the hills of Serionia, near the southern banks of the town. His mother and father were of middle class wealth, and as a result, Lain was one of five boys. He was the youngest of the pack, but regardless of this little fact, Lain had the heart and soul of a lion, and worked hard to earn not only his fathers respect, but the respect of his people. Quick on foot and heavy of hand he tested his physical combating abilities against his siblings, rarely did he come out as anything but the victor.
On his thirteenth birthday however, there came a time when he did in fact become defeated. The Saxon hoard raided his village. Taking women hostage as slaves of the flesh, and killing any able bodied men they could find. Many of Lains people escaped further into the mountains, but Lains father, mother and three of his brothers were not so lucky.
Years passed and Lain grew strong. He and his brothers lived off the land, traveling from village to city, from desert to forest, until they finally decided that Camelot would be the only safe haven the brutal land would offer. At sixteen Lain decided to join the royal guard of Camelot, and at the age of twenty he took the Oath and pledge himself to the Knights of the Round table. Since then he has fought in countless battles, including the one where his leader fell, but his fighting spirit won't allow Arthur's quest to die, and so he continues to serve, bound by the Oath and his heart.
Personality: Imaginative, sensitive, Compassionate and kind. Selfless and unworldly, Intuitive and sympathetic but also Secretive and vague.
Power: Has knowledge of Elven magic. He is adept at controling water, summoning it from even the dryest of places and enchanting the tips of his arrow heads to freeze whichever part of the enemy it touches.

Character Name: Reina Sinclaire
Age: 17
Race: Elf/human
Gender: Female
Role: Knight
Job: Knight

Appearance: Reina is the daughter of Amanie and Thomas, a human and elf. She is tall, slender, and graced with a medium tan skin tone, which neither her mother nor father posses. Another trait she posseses that neither of them seem to, is her eyes. She has one emerald eye, and one silver eye. Reina has raven black hair and can normally be seen wearing leather and cloth when she is non combative. Her style is mix of both Elven and Human designs.

Bio: Thomas was one of the Knights of the Round table, and a well respected gentleman at that. On his way to Serionia, he had met Amanie, a beautiful elf whom he became betrothed to. When the two had married, Serionia told Thomas of her news, she could not bare children, and Thomas, wanted so bad, a son who would succeed as one of the Knights. He and his wife had gone to one of the High Elves, who knew of a Wizard that could create them a child, using magic, his seed and her egg.

Nine months had passed, and an unconventional birth came about, as Reina, who was concieved by her father, mother, and magic, was born. The girl had multi colored eyes, and a strange symbol burned over her left breast, that faded in the light. To Thomas' disadvantage, he did not bare a son who would succeed him to the Knightlyhood, but the Wizard promised, that if he put Reina in his place, she would take him by surprise.

Through Reina's training, every day from her father bearing arms such as a sword and bow and arrow, and her mother using nature to her advantage, Reina proved to be an excelent heir. Neither her mother nor father ever spoke of her birth, for they figured she did not need to know how she was born, or to tap into that kind of magic which was a hidden part of her, and never did they return to the Warlock who had done this.

Now, even after Thomas' death, Reina preceeds him as a Knight, and though many judge her by her age, and ability, she will do nothing more, than make sure the name Sinclaire is carried out through justice in the Knights of the Round Table.

Personality: Reina is sometimes seen as irrational. She is a girl who 'follows her heart' instead of her better judgement. Often she feels the need to prove herself to the other Knights, and to people who doubt her in general, which causes her problems and often everybody else. Despite her 'hard to approach' nature, she can be sweet and she does care deeply about others. Though she was forced to grow up at an early age, many aspects of being a teenager follow her, and sometimes makes her judgement, that more difficult to understand.

All in all, she is arrogant, spunky, but nothing to be overlooked when it comes to battle. In the field, she puts her heart and soul into everything she does, irrational or not.

Power: At the moment, she's learned a little about enchanting, with the right ingrediants, and has studied the call of the wild, which allows her communication through animals, plants, and very little control. There is also an unknown and currently untapable magic resting within her, which may be explained later on.

Character Name: Valraven Lyndric
Age: 19
Race: Human
Gender: Male
Role: Saxon Knight,
Job: Assassin
Appearance:[x]
Bio: Valraven was born with his family on the borders of Oddra, unfortunately, they were quite poor and did not have enough money to barely survive manytimes. While growing up, he had whitnessed death as if it were a common thing around the area. To survive, Val had to constantly go around, stealing, becomming a thief, and getting away with it in every case.

When he reached the age of 13, he met Ryn, getting cought stealing food from his father's farm, but the child had offered him to keep the food. Every once in a while, Val would return to the boy and his father, asking for food, and telling them their situation, they were too poor to afford it. Months later, Val's family was forced into slavery for the Saxons, but they had offered him, a place as one of their Knights, if he could lead them to find someone. When he had seen the description, he knew it was Ryn's family. Val needed to make a decision, he would lead them right to where he had been going.

After the death of Ryn's family, Val stood still and silent, watching the place go to ruins, but also being welcomed to the Knights of the Saxons, where he will be treated like such, and never have to steal food again. Valraven has been working for them ever since.

Personality: Valraven is very cynical, he is a serious person and rarely does he ever show compassion. To those who know of him, they fear him, to those who know him well enough, know that he has a very dark side, and will rarely say words of optimism. When he smiles, it is usually a very bad sign.

Character Name: Isilya Nagoth
Age: 16
Race: Mermaid
Gender: Female
Role: Saxon Knight
Job: Enchantress
Appearance:[x]
Bio: Isilya was born in Bomea, her father, one of the great Generals of the Saxon Army. Her mother however was from a distant land. One that had been pillage and raped of it's heritage by the Saxons for over a century. Her mother had been kidnapped from her home, and sold to a Saxon man named Eolises when she was only twelve years of age.

After four years of being a captive of the knight, Isilyas mother, Salenya, had grown to love her master, and within the next year, she had given birth to her only daughter. Salenya had died during child birth, but with her last breath, spoke the name she desired for her child born in love. For you see, Eolises had grown to love Salenya to the depths of his soul, and he cared for his daughter as fair as any man would. He taught her the way of the sword because he had yet to conceive a male child, but had little desire of one as well.

At the age of 5 she showed herself to be a natural magician, enchanting things to come to her when her, bewitching men to bring her gifts, and occasionally enchanting a room to light up because she was afraid of the dark. It was not long after that her father entrusted her in the care of a powerful but old mage, who needed an apprentice to pass along his teachings.

Now that the old mage is dead, Isilya is one of the strongest Enchantresses in Bomea. Though she is young, she holds hundreds of years of knowledge passed down from the elderly mage, and the mage before him. She is a kind woman to her people, but to anyone not from Bomea, she holds a deadly wrath.
Personality: Isilya seems to have a split personality. At one moment she can be kind, gentle, loving even and on the other, she is a ruthless killer with no remorse for her actions. She is calculating and confident, and would rather die then leave her people, the Saxons.
Power: Elemental Magic. She can control earth, air fire and water, and spirit but at a great toll to her health.

Character Name: Akrin "The Cur"
Age: 25
Race: Minotaur
Gender: Male
Role: Saxon Knight
Job: Scout
Appearance: [x]

Bio: Many legends of minotaurs exist, and when the Saxons found a nursing minotaur, they saw opportunity. Taking care of the mother was the easy part. Now they raised the babe to be the prefect warrior.

It took them 18 years to 'train' the beast. It took many men to quell its anger. It was when it became loyal to the Saxons that they gave the beast to their leader as a gift. Their leader favored this gift, calling the beast by the name of "Akrin".

Only when Akrin was to be tested in battle did they see his skill. He fought best, not in the mix of things, but to counter attack and protect the flank. He could run as fast as a horse, and have stamina to do it for an extended period.

It was at the end of this battle that Akrin spoke his first words. He walked up to his master with the head of the flanking units leader and threw it to his masters feet saying "He called me a Cur.... I hate him.."

Since then Akrin spoke often, and he was a precious 'pet' to his master. He acted as a scout and skirmisher. he received food, water and women. However, his master kept a secret to his men. Akrin did not bed with the women, he merely spoke to them, and sometimes cuddled. This was Akrin's weakness, and his master made sure no one knew...
Personality:Akrin takes his job seriously, he works hard and kills efficiently. He, upon his dead mothers body, swore and oath never to harm a woman unless they did harm him. Akrin believes that the women he's brought should know that there are at least some noble Saxons in the field of battle.

Neutral Characters:
(Accepted Applications)

Name:Thrynnic "Ryn Bane" Kal
Age: 17
Race: Human
Gender: Male
Role: Neutral
Job: Assassin
Appearance:: Ryn has dirty blond hair, which is streaked muddy brown as though he rubbed mud into it. He is thin, and exceedingly pale skinned, as though he never steps into the sun. His eyes are small and thin, and are a deep cold grey color. He tends to wear red clothing, often leather, because he says, “Red doesn’t show blood.” He wears a wrist guard on each hand, which has two identical knives, each about 6 inches long, chained to them. The knives are thin, and are only blade and handle, no guard on either.
Bio: Ryn’s life up to the age of 12 was spent assisting his Father with the family farm, and learning the art of assassination from his Mother. Every member of his mother’s family for the past 3 generations had been an accomplished assassin or died trying to become one. His younger brother Cale was also being trained alongside Ryn. However, just 5 weeks after Ryn’s 13th birthday, the son of someone whom Ryn’s mother had killed, attacked their home. 50 armed mercenaries attacked, quickly killing Ryn’s father, as well as the farm hands. By the time they had reached the house, there was only 32 mercenaries left, but that was still far to much for Ryn, Cale, his mother, and the maid to fight off. Ryn’s mother told him to run, and take Cale. They tried too but their exit was blocked by 4 mercenaries, who managed to kill Cale. Ryn escaped, running with tears sliding down his face, out of the countryside, and into the nearby town. The next day he moved onward, and he spent the next 3 years wandering from town to town, struggling for food, and taking any job he could find at a mercenary house. Upon becoming 16 and completing his 25th paid kill, he was accepted into a mercenary house. He has spent the last year there, and has gotten around another 20 paid kills.
Personality: Though most Assassins are cold, Ryn is a very outgoing, happy, and inquisitive person. He loves to learn, constantly seeking information, often getting himself in more trouble than he needs by asking too many of the wrong questions. When “On Job” he wears a red mask, which covers the lower half of his face. He holds allegiance to no one, working for the highest bidder, and those who believe he will stay their ally indefinitely are sadly mistaken.
Power: None
Owner: Sauronbane

~~~~~
Character Name: Gn'arr Grizzletooth.
Age: 40
Race: Furbolg
Gender: Male
Role: Neutral
Job: Wizard
Appearance: Gn'arr Grizzletooth comes in on the taller side of Furbolgs being near 6'3". His shoulders are spread out and broader than most males, giving a certain looming, imposing look if you're shorter than him. His legs are more stocky and heavier than other parts of his body, give him a very strong, weighted look.
He is often arched over, leaning on his small, old staff. Gripping its handle with both of his hands, often leading to an elderly visage. His basic un-dyed fur is a darker shade of gray around his body. Though, this is mostly found just around his stomach and smaller parts of his body. Most of the time his fur is dyed in a myriad of colors; Blood red for his limbs, blue for his back and forehead, and a variation of purple for a symbol on his chest.
The only "covering" article of clothing on his body is a small tan deer hide, draped over his waist. Other articles of clothing are beads fitted into his facial hair, an orange cotton ribbon drawing his head hairs back to a point, and three to five golden bangles around his left wrist at all times.
Bio: Born in a long line of Furbolg Shamans, it was only logical for him to follow the same path. His father was the "Military" [if you could call it that] consultant for the council, and was unable to continue the Shaman path due to his chosen path, but his recently born son was eligible for a position as leader.
His grand-father proceeded to teach him about the Spirits and their connection with the world around them, after a council meeting to discuss their next leader. Naturally, Gn'arr, would take position as Tribe leader as soon as he was ready- but fate had a different plan. His tribe were having more and more problems with giants in the area, or one giant that just wouldn't get out of the area. Well, suffice to say most of the members of the Tribe were killed in a attack on the Giant that killed both parties.
Alone with his "juvenile" people, Gn'arr was the only one who had any Shaman-istic guidance to become a kind of leader. So, Gn'arr, noticing how open his tribe was to attack drove his fellows deeper into the forest to protect them, while he learned his new position.
Over the course of the many years, he developed a new sense of being a shaman, and was also the tribe's trusted and wise leader. Known for keeping the tribe out of harm's way, and doing what's best for everyone instead of just the higher members.
Personality: Even though he is the leader of his tribe, due to his unfamiliarity with "Human" language, he is often quiet and gruff with non-beast folk. A very jumpy shaman, he is not so much frightened as easily off-set. Due to his refusal to interact with the conflict going on with the Knights and the Saxons, he is quite distrustful of any humans, often only letting them wait outside his tribe's land in the woods when they visit- if they're that lucky.
Even though his appearance may make him look pretentious [to Furbolgs], he is very modest amongst his people. Often preferring to be with the children instead of in the higher elder council. He is also very protective of his people, overseeing anyone and anything coming near their tribe lands. In that way, he is paranoid.
Power: Shaman-ism and Spirit Raising, and very simple Earth and Fire spells. He is unable to engage in prolonged battle of magick in battle, but outside of it he has considerable skill.. with enough time.
-Places-
Avalon:
Avalon was the enchanted island where Arthur's sword was forged and where he was brought after his last battle. Arthur was placed on a golden bed and carried into Avalon by it's divine priestess. He could only be healed by entrusting his care to her completely forever. It is said that Arthur waits there with her until the time of his return. Avalon was presided over by Arthur's sister Morgan Le Fey. This was sometimes varied, but was always ruled by one prime priestess; usually a relative of Arthur's. This entire island was beset by woman who pledged their lives in the service of the one goddess. It is said that Avalon "went into the mists" when belief in the goddess had dwindled because of Christianity. But Avalon herself is not gone, and only those who have pledged themselves to the "Old Religion" are allowed passage through her hidden gates.
Camelot:
Camelot was the famous castle in the legends of King Arthur and his legendary knights. This is the mystical and mythical castle where he reigned over Briton. Camelot consisted of a brilliant court and seated the chivalrous Knights of the Round Table. Camelot was the starting point of the Quest for the Holy Grail and later came to symbolize the center of the Arthurian world.
Odrra:
The Britans are the human inhabitants of Albion, the kingdom that Arthur founded and kept intact for his reign. Now, however, it is starting to decline - especially in the border areas, where constant incursion by enemy raiding parties is becoming common. The Britons are comprised of the common Briton, the tall intelligent Avalonian, the brawny Highlander
Serionia:
The Serionians are made of humans, who demonstrate a profound affinity with nature. The Elves are inhabitants as well and are beautiful tall, thin, humanoids who specialize in all forms of magical spell casting, and have the ability to bear arms. The homes in Serionia are all natural, usually being built right into large trees and caves. Although it sounds barbaric, it is actually very elegant and complex.
Mur Port:
This is the only sea fareing town that is in good standings with Camelot. The Mer-People thrive here near the sea, coming and going as they please.
Bomea:
This is the one place no one wants to enter. unless they have pledged themselves as one of the Saxton followers. Filled with marshes, dungeons and an overall feeling of hatred, no one dare enter this place of solitude. It's inhabitants include humans and Elves and beasts. Including the almost-giant Furbolg, who combine nature worship with practical magic and arms skills.
Lady's Lake:
Although unmarked on the map by a name, the lake furthest south is home to The Lady of the Lake and her band of Faeries.
12-sided dice rule: If a player rolls numbers 1-11, they have hit you with a magical attack. If they roll a 12, the special attack of that spell takes affect. (No instant death or anything along those lines.)
10-sided dice rule: Causes 1-10 damage.
6 sided dice rule: If a player rolls numbers 1-5, they have deflected that amount of damage from the attack. If they roll a 6, they have not been hit.
The first post in the battle will always start with an Attack ONLY.
Your life force in broken down into three different stats, Hit Points, Stamina Points and Magic Points. The definition of each can be found below:
Hit Points (HP): Hit points, also known as health points, life points, HP, damage points, life bar, or just health (and countless other synonyms), are points used to determine a character's health and show how much damage a person has sustained. Once your HP reaches 0 your character is unconscious and you may no longer run, attack, or even speak. Once your HP reaches 0, you are at the mercy of whomever you were fighting at the time. (They can not kill you without permission, but they can take you captive, and so forth.)
Stamina Points (SP): People can't fight forever, so once your stamina points reach 0 you will no longer have the energy to fight, regardless of what your HP are. You can still run away from a fight as long as you have stamina. Your stamina will decrease according to how much damage your attack has done to your opponent, divided by 2.
Magic Points (MP): MP are units of magical power that are used as an expendable resource that is needed to pay for magic spells. Your MP decreases decrease with each magical spell you use. If you roll an 8 with the 12-sided die, your MP will decrease by 8, and your stamina will decrease by 4.
Understand? If not, just send RayneTree a PM titled "Battle System".
The following chart will inform you of your stats. You get base stats for your race type, and bonus stats depending on what job class your character falls under.
In the case you are a half-breed, your stats will be the average of your stats added together. HP+HP/2 etc. No Acceptions!
At level progression, which is every seven days, starting from the day you joined the role-play, you will roll a 6-sided dice to increase one stat of your choice by +1 to +5. When it is time for a level progreesion for your character, you will recive a PM from RayneTree sending you a link to where to roll your 6-sided dice for your stat increase.
NOTE: Your remaining HP-SP-MP (In this format) should be posted in blue at the end of each of your posts.
This is the one place in the role play that you don't want to be. Once you are blacklisted your name will appear here and you will no longer be allowed to participate in the role play.
3 strikes and you are out.
User Image
Be careful. This means you are only a few steps away from being blacklisted. If your name appears here you were issued a warning via PM from RayneTree.
If you accumulate 3 burning_eyes you will be kicked. But there are ways to remove warnings and get back in the role plays overall good graces.
Making banners is a quick way to rid yourself of a warning. Making some for the guild would be great, seeing how my skills are *cough* limited.
"Arthur! Please...I need you, we need you.."
A queen lay upon the harsh stone floor of the prison, cradling her growing belly while combating the immense amount of despair that seemed to pushed all hope out of her small feminine frame. There was no awareness of night or day, for there were no windows dressing her cement room. No rug to protect the delicate soles of her royal feet. Her garments had been stripped, her crown broken and sold, and her body, battered, bruised, sore and exhausted had been both physically and emotionally broken.
Her sobs filled the cell, but to the queen, the walls seemed to take pleasure in her misery, laughing with a bitter cruelty that in her mind drowned out even her loudest sobs. She lay across the floor, cheek pressed against the hard earth. The whole of her body quaked and trembled. The smell of her bloody hands and legs made her gag, and stomach threatened to force out the little food she had been given.
But these were not the worst of her worries. The baby she carried, the future king of Camelot, and the world they all knew, had not moved a muscle during the time they had spent in the cell. She clutched her belly again, crying out in pain and fury. But she could not fight, not anymore, not when she was so well concealed within the land beyond the Norther Bomea Woods.
"Please...." A choked word, filled with hopelessness and agony. It was hardly a whisper when it escaped her parched lips. But that noise, that sound so familiar, usually accompanied with pain, the sound of the cell door being unlocked from the outside.
Guinevere moved as quickly as her hands and knees would allow her, finding a corner in the back wall she crouched, pulling her knees to her chin, and wrapping herself with her arms, as if she was protected by a magical barrier. Her body shook from head to toe, her eyes were shut fast, but she knew someone was there, contemplating her defeated body, and her smashed spirits.
A dark, muscular arm, dressed in brown leather, with the stench of sulfur upon it reached out for her, snatching her up by the wrist. The Saxon did not say a word, he merely grinned with his evil sneer, backhanded the queen across the jaw and began to drag her limp, unconscious body from the cell......
The sound of Lancelot's words still echoed in Reina's head, they were not to give up, they were to pursue this battle to reach the Queen. There were many noises that stirred in her mind at this moment, the voices of the others, speaking amungst eachother about whether this was a good idea or not. Reina knew, by no means would she dare second guess his command, and would follow him till she drew her last breath.
Seperating herself from the others for a moment, Reina stepped outside of the camp into the quieter corners of the outside world. The birds weren't chirping, instead, they were nestled away in their trees and the music of the night began to play its melody. Gathering her things, Reina slipped her leather boots onto her feet, tying them up all the way to her knees where they rest. She slipped on her plated armor, knowing for this job, she would better be suited in the front lines, with her sword rather than in the back as an archer. The plated armor hugged her curves nicely, and fit snug enough to keep her safe and mobile at the same time.
She sat there, on the grass for a few more moments, wiping her sword down before sliding it into the sheath at her side,snapping it to her waist and away from her legs. There seemed to be a lot going through her mind, too much that it often clouded her judgement and made her wonder, if what they were doing was a good thing. The Saxons wanted them to surrender, but of course, they had to have known that they would not let their Queen remain in the arms of the enemy for too long. She took in a deep breath, able to smell the fresh air around her, which soothed her spirits, and reassured her that there will be plenty more battles after this.
"For the Queen, for Arthur... for the future of Camelot, and comming home to cool baths in the rivers!" Reina's little pep cheer gave her a boost of energy while she spun back on one foot, pivoted towards the door and pushed it open, standing in the doorway. She stood tall, chest up in the air and chin held high, a true sign of bravery, and for those who knew her well, a sign that she had come to terms with her destiny. "Well, suit up, there's no turning back. The queen needs us and the Saxons need a good a** kicking!"
