Name : Kristopher "Kris" Meade (KRIS-to-fur MEED)
Gender : Male
Age : 17
Birthday : October 29th
Grade : 7th
House : Hufflepuff

Ethnicity : British
Hair Color : Dark brown Hair
Eye Color : Green-Brown Eyes (Going gradually from green in the outside to brown in the inside)

Pet : A young great-horned owl named "Vith" (VEETH) he bought 2 years ago. Being young he's not as big as the adults of its species, it barely reaches the 40" wingspan and the 20" height. It has a brown color, with some darker streaks on its wings and tail. The small feathers resembling horns makes it look as if it were angry but is actually a friendly owl, but it still won't let anyone pet it.

Wand : A 12 ½" wand made of Reed wood, with a Ashwinder Ash for the core.

Family :
WhiteKris was the first son of Thomas and Claire Meade, followed by his younger sister Sheryll 4 years after. His father Thomas, the wizard in the family, died shortly after Sheryll's birth leaving their muggle mother Claire alone to watch for their children. Even though it was hard at times to look after two little kids by herself, Claire didn't want to get married again, and never did. She was more than happy seeing her little children grow up and that was enough for her.

WhiteAll his life, his mother insisted on how much Kris reminded her of his father, because of his stuborn attitude, his eagerness to finish everything he started, and, as she would discover a couple years after her husband departure, his magic. That's why When Kris got his letter from hogwarts, his mother didn't even hesitate before sending him to learn the magic arts. Kris didn't doubt either: his mother used to tell him stories about his father's magical skills, and he started to want to become a wizard too.

WhiteKris always got along with his sister very well as they often had to stay home together when their mother was out, and Kris had to look after Sheryll. This made them grow attached to each other, and, even with the discussions they often had, Kris would protect her sister if he had the chance, even though he knew Sheryll disliked Kris' protective behavior.

A Bit About Him :
WhiteConsidered a rebel at times, and a traditional guy at others, Kris only does what he thinks is the right thing to do. He’s a follower of the “Know the rules so you can break them when it is needed” concept but refrains to the “when it is needed” part. He’s not usually messing with other people but can seem rude with people when he first meets them, but then he becomes either friendly or cold. He’s more of a word-saver person and won’t say a lot of things if he doesn’t feel like saying them, at least not when he’s with strangers. But when he is with his friends he might get a few “shut up already” coming.

WhiteHe usually sticks to a small circle of friends because he is not someone who trusts easily in the people. And even though he is not someone who enjoys being the center of the attention in big crowds, he’s described as ‘crazy’ by his friends, with whom Kris feels comfortable enough to let his true self shine. This is the reason why Kris is not often seen in crowded areas by himself, but when he is with friends he’ll go anywhere and do anything he feels like doing.

WhiteBut this doesn’t mean he is a party boy. He’s actually a balanced person that has fixed priorities other than his family and friends. He knows what he has to do and won’t go to a party if he has to stay home to finish homework. But if he has to go help a friend or his sister, he will break the rules and do whatever he has to do to help, even if that means missing the final exam and having to re-take the course all over again.

Extra info :
Patronus : Thomson’s gazelle
Boggart : An empty Mirror of Erised (Having no desires)

A Moment By Himself :
White- “Mom, I’m ready to go! Is Sheryll ready yet?” asked Kris, standing at the bottom end of the stairs in the two story house he lived in.
WhiteHe waited for a reply but, seeing he wasn’t getting anything in response, he stepped up a few steps before stopping once he saw his younger sister walking out of her bedroom.
White- “Hurry up Sheryll, we have to take the bus to London if we want to get everything ready before we hit the express.”
White- “I know, I know.” Replied Sheryll in the tone of voice she’d use every time her brother would tell her what to do.
WhiteThe two siblings walked down the stairs and walked into the living room to meet their mother before their departure. Sheryll stepped in first and hugged her mother while Kris watched behind her.
White- “So you are leaving now, then?” asked their mother.
White- “Yes, we are leaving.” said Sheryll. “We still have a few things to buy at Diagon before the start of the term.”
White- “Alright, take care of each other.” said Claire, letting Sheryll go off her arms, and walking up to Kris to give him a good-bye hug too. “Promise me you’ll look after your sister”.
White- “I will mom, don’t worry. We’ll come back for holidays”.
White- “And we’ll bring you a present, but you already know that, right?” added Sheryll.
WhiteClaire smiled.
White- “Yes, I know you will bring me something this year too.” replied Claire walking her children to the front door.
WhiteBoth Sheryll and Kris hugged their mother one last time and walked out of the house where the cab was already waiting for them. They walked to the car and, looking back to their mother, they waved before getting in. A moment later, their house would be fading in the mirrors of the car that would take them to London.

At first I thought, "What is this boy doing in Hufflepuff?". Not that I thought he was completely wrong there, I just tend to look for that 'one' (or more) detail that stands out. I believe that in Kris' case, it's not only his care for family or friends but also his sense of duty and loyalty to what has to be done.
