Kakashi Hatake (はたけカカシ, Hatake Kakashi) is a fictional character in the anime and manga series Naruto created by Masashi Kishimoto. He is the leader of Team 7, originally consisting of Naruto Uzumaki, Sasuke Uchiha, and Sakura Haruno. After Sasuke defects, Team 7 receives Sai as a replacement.

Though his name is written in the manga using kana, Japanese syllabic scripts that carry no particular meaning, the family name "Hatake" can be written in kanji (Chinese characters) as 畑, or 畠 which means "field" or "farmland". The name "Kakashi" can be written in kanji as 案山子, which means "scarecrow". Understandably, Naruto uses a scarecrow look-alike of Kakashi to practice on the day before Team 7's first test, since he then considered Kakashi as the main one to defeat. Also, when Sakura spies on Kakashi so he would take off his mask, he replaces himself with a scarecrow to get rid of her.

Kakashi is a popular character, consistently ranking in the Top 6 in Shonen Jump magazine's official polls.He has taken 1st place in these polls twice.

Second You Background

Kakashi awoke to the area filled with vases in his Surprise form, not really paying much attention to his situataion. It didn't take long for Kakashi to pull out that book of "Icha Icha Tactics" and start reading it till he started to find some difficulty reading for he was a bit smaller than the book. It wasn't long a Second you herd his Ruckas and sought him out. The Second You was a Surprise name Lin. Kakashi tried everything he could to get reliable information on the area and then that's when he learn that he is now what you call a Second. And That he was Created by the Goddesses Tea and Tiia. (might deal with raspberry and mints some how). Kakashi currently thinks that these two might clear some things up for him.

Mean while Lin was searching for an area to make a base. Then mention there is no point to making a base out here, cause there's nothing dangerous... Except a Second eating mermaid, which is weird because all mermaids are Seconds as well. Kakashi offered to help trying to find something meaningful to do. He soon found out Lin had a large family and then Orochimaru came out of nowhere asking for a hug.

-The First encounter of Orochimaru-

Orochimaru waddles up to lin and holds his arms out. "Hugs?" He smiles.
Lin blinked turning her a bit to face Orochimaru and looking like he just asked her if the sky was purple. She could understand if it was her siblings or her parents, but this was just... odd.

"..... No," Lin directed him to the river where the sunning rock is, "If you want a hug go there, I'm sure there's someone in the river that wouldn't mind hugging you."
-Kakashi eyes Orochimaru intensely `what is he doing here? and what does he remember.-

"Orochimaru?"

-Kakashi got in a ready stance to strike-
Orochimaru looks at kakashi. "hug?" He asks holding his arms out to him now.
Lin rolled her eyes at Kakashi, this guy was no better than the ones asking for hugs. She poked Kakashi with a stick.

"Do you always get jumpy about hugs?" she asked him before turning to Orochimaru.

She wondered if he was perhaps in mind younger, it was always possible.
