I'm interested to know if anyone has seen what would be considered evil, exp: a demon- something good or protective, exp: a guardian spirit or angel- or some kind of spirit or presence, exp: ghost or apparition
I've seen my share of evil spirits and I often wear a pentacle for protection
many ghosts- good, bad and what I would consider neutral...
and a few guardians... I truly believe they were angels
there's constantly spirits roaming in or near my hose

In my belief this is how the Good and Evil, and Neutral thing goes. The angels are the good, the demons are the bad, and the Fairies/Nature Spirits are the neutral.
I've seen some very evil spirits and some good ones and lots of neutrals in my day. I carry no protection since I've been baptized against them and they can do no harm to me.

Well . . . most everyone's outlok is different. I believe there are a lot of ther things out there, but I don't really classify them differently because I have no proof. Only what I think Isee or hear. And everyone arond me is christian and they believe that there's no such thing as gosts only evil spirits that manifest themselves as familiars. I think that they're wrong - but then again, most of the time ghosts aren't exactly friendly. But I do believe in Angels and the MANY different forms of demons.

I believe in all of the above, and especially like how thorough your poll was. 3nodding
However, a few small things:
~It's very hard to believe in angels and not in demons. Before the advent of Christianity officially separated the two, they were both just daemons. They were accepted as a part of Greek culture, as something that was just there rather than something that needed to be exorcised. Ghosts could also be called "daemon," an idea that hearkens to the Eastern "youkai" blanket term.
~Good and evil are both human concepts. They do not apply to other species. I like how you put it, saying something that would be "considered evil."

I'm not religious but I am spiritual. I did grow up Roman Catholic though. I have seen mostly good & neutral. I have seen part of an angel before & that was pretty cool (& other stuff too but that doesn't fit our discussion here). My boyfriend & his crew have seen the bad stuff though. They've seen possessions of people, possessed boards, & there is a forest in their area where Satanists like to do rituals (they tend to stay away from those people).

I've seen demons, and have witnessed hauntings. I'm not one of the kinds that need to see to believe though. My thoughts are that all exist in some way - not actual physical beings but energy that can manipulate what is around it when strong enough.
Sometimes I am sure there is a spirit protecting me, other times I think the demons I have faced are harming me. Maybe both, it is hard to say... I'm just sure they exist. They are a lot like people in their own right. Some do good and some do bad, hence people name them based off of their actions. At least in my opinion. sweatdrop

I wouldnt say that all demons are "bad". . just, they are often very emotional and the such, and so have sort fuzes and if not in some form of control of themselves trouble abounds. .
Angels, well, they can do their share of bad things too, and being an angel reincarnated does not mean they are perfect. . lol. .
I do beleive that we have spirit guides, and I have seen mine in a dream/astral projection thing. .. . I have also been able to reach out and feel him sitting around my room on my pillow or something. . I can feel energy so this is possible, just when I feel him he usually moves. .lol. .
I have seen some spirits with my physical eyes too, just, they were ones that were pretty strong so I was able to notice them. . most of the time I dont see them physically but can feel them. .

I absolutely believe in ghosts and other hauntings. as for angels i believe they are our deceased family members/ancestors that watch over us as we grow. as for demons i feel those are the lost/sick souls that preyed on humans when they were alive and continue to do so when they are dead. i'll be honest with you though, a cold hardened killer scares me a whole lot more than a demon or a ghost!!!!

I'm not sure the way I think of spirits quite matches up with your poll. The concept of angels and demons dates back to Judaic times (to my knowledge) and were used to describe certain spirits based solely on their effects on humans. Even a malignant spirit that caused the death of cattle was considered malignant mostly because of the effect the loss of livestock had on the humans. The concepts of good and evil that one uses to define angels and demons can be rather anthropocentric.
For example, let's say you have a cabin in the woods where three people live: a man, a woman, and an infant. They're clearing the area to make a small farm, and other people are coming after them to settle the area. Suddenly, for no apparent reason, all three people die. Now, people believe the forest is haunted and no one else wants to live there or work the land. If a spirit were responsible for this, people might call it a demon. However, this demon has probably saved the lives and homes of the many plant and animal species in that forest. Rather than allowing settlers to enter, upset the natural balance in the area, and potentially destroy a functioning ecosystem that supports thousands of organisms, three humans were killed.
This is a pretty extreme example and I wouldn't expect anything in real life to be quite this blatant, but hopefully I got my point across: judging spirits solely by their interest in humans is rather limiting. I tend to see spirits as being more interested in either balance or their own interests to varying degrees as opposed to a dichotomy of good or evil.
As for ghosts? I've never seen one myself, but I know people who have, so I don't doubt they exist in some form.

A bit of an odd response: has anyone here ever "seen" anything that looks remotely like this guy? or this? They're some variety of spirit-things that live in my apartment. I can sense their presence, and my roomie, who has a well developed third eye, can "see" them. Both of them, although ugly as heck, seem nice. They both have a nice, homey feel about them, and the goblin-things from the image on top try to do what I tell them to (I locked one in my closet this way; when I first found out that these things were there, the idea of them made me a little nervous, so I drew a circle around my room and told it to leave that area. It could've gone into the kitchen, or into the closet, and it picked the closet, where it stayed for two weeks until I let it out). That said..... well, in my experience with these guys, and some of the other things I've seen.... Some things tend to be a little in-your-face, but I wouldn't say necessarily evil. I once had some kind of spirit latch itself onto my back, I think to drain my energy. It felt very cold, and I felt exhausted afterwards. I guess some of them will get right up in your face, and try to touch you. Those ones are creepy. Most things don't care about you, and act surprised if you notice them. The creatures we have in here are nice. Odd, but nice. I've never encountered anything like an angel, and the closest thing to a demon I've ever "seen" would be these guys, although they aren't malicious in the least, although the places where they stand tend to be uncomfortably cold. The little skittery things from the second drawing like to sit on my feet, and give me cold feet. They also seem to like the pillows in my bed (I've woken up before and actually seen them beside me - literally seen them, for a split second). The things that tend to be the creepiest are the things that closest resemble humans. The thing that was on my back resembled a human girl child, with a grossly round head. There's only one thing that scares my roomie who sees these things, and that's shadow people - they tend to turn up in areas where people have died, and they have a feel to them like they might have once been alive. Take all this with a grain of salt; it's all a little odd, and unproveable. The things I've experienced.... I'm not ruling out that it could all just be me being paranoid, and my friend being skizophrenic. But no matter if it's real or not, it's so fascinating!
