Couple of weeks ago I sparred with two high red belts. They were both 14 years old girls. I'm 18 and only a yellow belt soon to be high yellow. We start sparring and they get me locked in a corner. And kick and punch on me as hard as they could. I sidekick one of them and the girl starts crying. I told the girl I was sorry but now the other one hates me. The teacher gets on to me and tells me to touch lightly, why am I to lightly touch them when they don't to the same to me?

I find that the same thing happens to me when I'm punching babies.

All of the above
If somebody's being a d**k, just hit them hard ONCE
And keep going at your normal pace. If people talk s**t, be like "Hey, she wanted to go hard."

One of my old instructors used to say that if a high grade gets nailed by a much lower one, its their own fault. They should have the skills to avoid or block it. Especially true if its two of them on one of you

Eh, it happens... sometimes unconsciously. I wouldn't worry about it. If she can't handle a hit, then she's got no business sparring. 14yrs old or not. Thats just common knowledge. You WILL get hit, even in light contact.

He sounds like a real jerk, or else it's due to the difference in age.
I've only ever had it happened the other way around (me hitting the younger level harder - but it was to get the person to back off because they were trying to kick me in the knees and in the groin).
Just don't worry about it for now, but if it keeps happening, you'll just have to ask what is going on

Yeah, even if they are younger, that's no reason to slack off. Exept if you're teaching them, in which case you leave openings and stuff... but you weren't.

tell the 2 you were sparing with, and your sensei, that you'll give as good as you get and besides, if you're the lower grade they should know better, and be able to take it if they can give it the ju jitsu club i attend is supposed to be very light contact but there are occaisions when i've recieved, and dealt, some fairly serious blows, but i always expect the get as good as i give, and for higher grades to be able to take it

Give your opponent as much force as they give you! If theyre going soft (as I would imagine two 14 girls would) use it as a chance to practice your form practically, why practice martial arts when your more consentrated with something as trivial as this? Who cares if another student doesnt like you? my teacher didnt like me for the first year for God's sake!
