I'm sorry I haven't been stopping through. I'm in the middle of more than one WIP and have nothing finished to offer. Here's what I've got, though:

Vectoring out the straight parts of the background. This was definitely done from a ref, if you're wondering. I had to screencap this out of Illustrator because for some reason, it just refused to save without errors as a .jpg in Photoshop. Please pardon the random black border.



If anybody has a reference for a midair kick from the perspective of the feet, I'll be able to finish this block (number four). I have drawn pages and pages of sketches and have not been able to find something that works.

Oh yeah.


CG experiment. Trying to get away from the flesh tones I usually use. Didn't even bother cleaning it up.

Wow, I really like the concept of the first sketch. You're right about that elbow, it looks like he straining his arm as he looks at Holden. If he's in a relaxed pose then he should probably be laying back against the seat more.

Also, those comic panels are effing hilarious. That the 'bag of dicks' you were talking about? Oh, there's some midair kicks in the 'people and poses' folder I gave you.

I think the green background probably gave you a difficult time with the flesh tones. I like using a dark greyish purple as a base for the shadows.
