History
After investigation, records were found about the Shintaku clan. They were a family that existed more than a thousand years ago. Here are the letters/documents that were found:

Grandfather has passed down a family legacy to me. In the case of his death, I am to continue the quest. As unbelievable as it may seem, my family has been attempting to summon a demon from Hell. I thought the whole thing was crazy until I saw documents describing how to do it. Grandfather says our family is very close to learning how to perform the summoning. I asked him why in the world would you want to summon a demon. This sounds very dangerous... I'm afraid to continue my family's quest. He told me "If you summon the demon, then you are freeing it! You will gain great rewards!" Then he went on telling me about some prophecy that our family heard about "The birth of demonic winds shall bring great power to this world." I shall read and evaluate the documents that have been collected so far in hopes of finding some reason to dismiss this psychotic hunt.

It is done. The prophecy has come true. Grandfather sacrificed himself. It was amazing. Grandfather told me before he performed the ritual that he believed he had pieced together the clues. I did not foresee his death soon enough. I wouldn't have stopped him anyway. It was his right to perform the ritual, and it worked! He has made a permanent mark in history.
I shall describe what I witnessed from the summoning. Grandfather began performing many hand signs and chanting. Father tried to stop him after being told that Grandfather was going to sacrifice himself. Some kind of invisible force stopped my father from getting near him. Father tried many things but could not get Grandfather to stop. Grandfather then took a knife and thrust it into his gut. Much blood flowed from his body. At that moment my family cried out in despair. Grandfather smiled and with his last breath spoke, "The birth of demonic winds... shall bring... great... power..." He stopped and fell over. Blood began filling in a circle around him. It seemed Grandfather was in a tube. Once the circle was filled a fiery gate opened and something came through. The gate closed quickly then Grandfather's blood escaped the circle and flowed into the room.
After his death our family was broken in spirit, enraged and disappointed in the prophecy. Weeks after Grandfather's death an eagle came to us. He spoke to us for some time. He told us about some sort of plan to become more powerful. I am sure he is the demon that came that day because he seemed to know us. I also remember seeing a winged creature coming out of the gate. We started seeing visions after we met him. This special ability helped us a lot. Ninja came to our house and attempted to arrest us, accusing us that we killed Grandfather. We became very angry at them for thinking that and... killed them. I am surprised we are powerful enough to kill ninja, but after thinking about it, I realized it was because of the demon eagle. I don't know why but something about him reminds me of Grandfather. I try not to think about him too much because it hurts. We stood trial and were declared innocent after evidence showed that Grandfather had killed himself. The part about the police ninja was very difficult. We were let go after convincing everyone that we were defending our home. I hope no more deaths are related to my family in the future. There's been too many losses already. I wish I hadn't helped Grandfather's dream come true. I wish I had more time with him.

Only parts of the other documents survived. It seems the Demon Eagle's plan was to become powerful somehow by giving some of his power to the Shintaku family. Eventually the family became extinct around the same time the Hashi clan showed the first sign of Issekigan. It is believed that the Demon Eagle had set his sights on the Hashi clan. No one knows who or what slaughtered the Shintaku clan.
The full prophecy was pieced together:

Takusengan
Takusengan is how the Shintaku clan was able to see visions of the future. After training to become ninja they trained their eyes to be able to see visions while they were fighting. Takusengan is a power in the eyes and is active at all times. Usually a Shintaku's dreams will be visions of the future rather than normal.

How experienced the user is determines how well he can control Takusengan. Highly advanced users have been known to see visions every second during a battle. Others have been known to look into the future and see what lies ahead. Most users are able to see what is about to happen right before it does which gives them an edge in battle.
