well, the manga will be released soon (here in germany ^^) and I already read a preview. I got the impression that the story is the same as in the video game .hack//infection.
Is that true?

That's what I've heard. Except there are some minor differences from what I've read.

From what I've seen, they're similar, but there are some major differences. For example (in white font, read at your own risk) Cubia appears as a human PC and helps Kite defeat some of the phases. I only got to read two chapters of it, but it's great. ^_^

I thought XXXX was pretty good, the... ah, two chapters I read~ haha. It should be available in mid-June from TokyoPop, for those interested. =)

i got volume 1, i think it was pretty good, but something about the noses bothers me for some reason confused

it has some major changes to the plot, its a non canon retelling of IMOQ, just like GU+ is a non-canon retelling of GU (or perhaps reimaging is a more proper term)

Not having played the games I really want to get the manga, but I think I'll wait till they're all out. Like to read/watch them all in a short period of time (that way I don't forget). I did read the novels with BlackRose perspective but really looking forward to the manga. A bit better way to find out what happened with in the legend of the twilight era.

It's interesting but is very, very different. Kind of like some of the concepts in it, but I dislike a couple of the changes:
- In volume one, at any rate, Blackrose hardly does anything.
- It's mostly about the boy characters now, or so it seems.
