So, basically I have two cool ideas for settings for religion based games, but no idea for either story or how to start. I'll post the first one here.
Seven of Fates:
In a Monotheistic setting, the seven apostles have shown themselves, but the seven demons of sin have heard of this power and want it for themselves. their goal: Absorb the energies of all the apostles. They form an agreement, each one will have the energy of one apostle, and then they could merge into one sentient being with enough power to rival that of god himself. But what will happen to their agreement when another demon interrupts their plans?
Meanwhile, the Heroes of fate are chosen by a messenger of God. Will they be able to stop the demons from accomplishing their goal?
That's my first idea. I need ideas on how to start four or so adventurers, possbily with a quest seemingly unrelated, but through it the unwittingly prove themselves worthy to God.
My second idea is only a setting as of yet, I'm asking for ideas for plot with this one.
A God for Many:
Another monotheistic setting. The world's religion is divided up among a number of cults, all of whom worship a physical entity, all of whom claim to worship the one god that everyone believes in (even those not affiliated with any cult), but they all worship different people! The leader of the base religion, pone which worships a non-physical entity, rules the land, and puts to death anyone who claims polytheism exists. What is going on? Who is right?
