She let out yet again another frustrated sigh as her prey got away from her. She had a one out of thousand chance to get better at hunting... and learning to hunt was slowly becoming one of Bell's favorite past times, though most of the time it left her hungry for most of the day till she returned home, where her mother would be waiting with her favorite--rabbits. The deep blue, ocean eye colored Ulaya female continued, annoyed with herself she couldn't get the timing right, and also sad she wasn't fast enough. She finally relented and admitted to herself she desperately needed a teacher--she would ask her mother, but she had told her mother she would learn on her own... or figure it out on her own, and Bell was reluctant to ask her mother at this point in time. So she continued to scout around for rabbits, and maybe another Ulaya might pop out--well, not pop out and scare her, but where she discovered the Ulaya--and could give her a few pointers about how to hunt.

The day was over all a nice one. A cool refreshing breeze blew by from time to time. The sun was at it highest which would tell that's it around noon. Most creatures would start hunting for food around this time. A cream male didnt seem to follow this rule, for he only hunted when he was hungry. A slight rumbling sound was heard. Deep blue eyes opened and look to the side. It was time for some quick hunting. The ulaya rose to his feet and started to walk, hoping of the rock he was laying on. He learned to hunt when he was very young so he didnt mind it much. His family was always on the move so they learned to hunt quick. Both genders in his family learned to hunt so one was never depending on the other for food.

Spying a lone rabbit out in the open, she quickly found a place to hide off to the side. Bell Pepper licked her maw as she slowly crept forward. Easy... Easy... No! The rabbit had hopped off a ways, but not far, though Bell had been hoping it wouldn't move from its content little spot... but it did. Ears twitching, Bell testing her stance and judged the sounds, finding that the familiar bird trills and calls as well as other soft forest noises would sound normal to the rabbit as well. Her ears laid back against her skull as she made sudden move. Pounce! Crash! ...Again. Again, her prey had escaped, and again, she had unsuccessfully made a catch. Grumbling to herself good-naturedly, her stomach growling in protest as well, she began once more, trying to figure out what she was doing wrong. She was getting very hungry about now--the afternoon was waning and it was getting hot because she was moving around so much--and she was never in much of a good mood if she was hungry... but being who she was, Bell would never take out her bad mood on anyone. She sighed as she finally came to a stop in the middle of an open area and merely plopped down on her front paws, mourning her poor hunting skills. She seriously needed help; a few pointers wouldn't hurt, and she knew her mother wouldn't mind it either... but Bell didn't really want to ask her mother... She was about to cry at her problematic situation.

Passing a few birds searching the ground for the worms of their choice, the blue eyed male stepped with caution to be invisible to any nearby prey that may have been on the look out for predictors. Since many animals were hunting for lunch or just plain old lazing about it wouldnt be hard to find a meal worth having. Rabbits where the most plentiful animal in the area so they were also the most popular amongst ulaya. A few rabbits sprung from a bush and quickly hoped by. From natural reaction the hunter crouched down and made himself unseen. Hmm..... No. With narrowed eyes he watched the rabbits hop off. Not feeling for that particular hunt he lifted himself up and continued on his way. He watched as a lone rabbit emerged from behind a tree and slowly made its way to some small shrubs. He has dounf his lunch. With his eyes narrowed, his body crouched, his ears flat against his head he slowly crept towards the unaware bunny.

Having moved on from her depressed moment in the middle of the field, she had managed to make it back towards the forest when she noticed the lone rabbit. Unaware of the other Ulaya, Bell Pepper's tail twitched in anticipation as she crouched not too far away from her prey. Her mouth quirked into an eager smile--she was quite hungry--as she took a running leap... only to find the rabbit had noticed her and had now dashed away. She landed with a disappointed thump as she glanced in the direction the rabbit had been chased off: it had dashed into the bushes of the other Ulaya Bell was still unaware of, and now she plopped on her front paws, her chin resting on her arms as she frowned, trying to figure out how she always managed to get her prey to notice right as she was about to capture them. A long, sad sigh escaped from her lips as she stared at the trees dully, her usual bright, deep, ocean blue eyes not shining with their usual color. Odd as it was... well, Bell was just sad she wasn't any good at hunting. She should be good; like her mother, who was super fast... Bell shook her head at herself. She was being so unrealistic... she'd never get that good...

Blue piercing eyes we locked on the lone rabbit as he made his way even closer. Being a light color Aurelio stood out when against the green grass so he needed to be careful a great deal of what he did. He was about to strike when he heard a slight sound from the side, he didnt think much of it so he stayed focused. To his surprise following the sound he heard followed the rabbit suddenly dashing away before it could be caught. Aurelio hurried to change his footing so he'd be prepared for a chase or at least a large pounce. He sprung from crouched position after the rabbit. He quickly glanced to see what startled the rabbit to find a female ulaya that looked defeated or at least zoned. Turning back towards the rabbits direction he continued. His long strides and overall speed made the distance between the two shrink rather quickly. Once he felt that he was close enough to make a direct hit he finished his stride, crouched his front legs and sprung forward extending his front legs at the last minute along with his claws and pined the rabbit down. Going for an easy and quick kill he broke the rabbits neck as he landed on it.
With that done he picked up the rabbit and turned his head back where the female he ran past he stared wondering something. Was the female after this hunt? She didnt seem to be very good at it for the most part. How long has she been trying get something? A few more thoughts ran through his head as he turned around. Hmm..... Aurelio let out a sigh and walked back over to the female. If she's still there... He jumped over a bush and landed a few feet to the side of the female ulaya. He didnt turn his head towards her he just keep his head facing forwards, his eyes glancing over in her direction.

She jumped--literally--about six or seven feet in the air when the other Ulaya came out of nowhere, though he sat a few feet away from her, not really looking at her. Putting a paw to her chest to stop her rapidly beating heart, and taking a few (was she hyperventilating!?) deep breaths to calm down, Bell stared at the newcomer, backing up a few paces. "H-Hello!" she chirped, her usual stutter coming out. She wasn't very good with strangers and Bell tended to stutter and hide or guard herself when meeting new Ulaya she didn't know; she really didn't get out much and she stayed with her mother despite how she was a fully grown adult Ulaya now. "I-I-I hope I'm n-not d-disturbing y-you," she apologized, and added, "I-I'm B-Bell P-Pepper, b-by the w-way." She forced herself to try and appear as friendly as possible but the male Ulaya had startled her so badly she was stuttering much worse than usual. She reprimanded herself and told herself she needed to be strong and outgoing like her mama, but Bell knew it would be a very difficult habit to break. The young female had been hoping that by hunting she would be able to improve her stuttering and skittishness slowly, and soon, be able to toughen up like her mother. Somehow, she doubted that would happen but anyway... she returned her gaze (and attention) back to the pale furred Ulaya in front of her... or rather, near her.

The sudden movement from the other ulaya startled Aurelio, for the hight that she reached was quite amazing. He turned towards her and placed the rabbit down. "Hi." he said rather plainly as he watched the other catch her breath and try ti get herself comfortable for the most part. He didnt mean to sound plain but rather was mainly confused on why the female got so startled. "Oh. You're not disturbing me." he said in a happier tone with a slight head tilt. "Hello Bell Pepper. I'm Aurelio." he bowed his head slightly. "I've noticed we had the same rabbit in mind." Aurelio didnt really mind introducing himself to others. At times he thought it was annoying but otherwise it was ok.

She tentatively smiled back at him, and swallowed nervously. "N-Nice to m-m-m-meet y-you, Au-Aurelio," she replied, her eyes now focusing on the rabbit she had been chasing after all afternoon long. Aurelio seemed nice enough, and hopefully she wouldn't trip over herself and embarrass herself in the long run. Bell felt slightly uncertain about meeting other Ulaya... and she had noticed that she'd startled him too when she had leaped about seven feet in the air for once again landing with a thump. Her eyes were now going back in forth and around her as she made sure this time around she wouldn't be scared or startled out of her presence of mind, which tended to wander around when she was alone... Hm, that was probably why she kept getting surprised or scared so easily because she never really paid much attention. "O-Oh...I-I'm not? Th-That's g-good," she agreed, slowly feeling more comfortable in Aurelio's presence. "I-It s-s-seems w-we d-did," she let out a shaky giggle, keeping a safe distance from Aurelio but close enough he didn't feel offended and also so they could talk.

Aurelio noticed that Bell Pepper still felt uneasy so he didnt really move much. Then other the turned her focus to the rabbit. He glanced down at it then up back at her. Just from his natural understanding of a lot of things when it came to hunting he figured that she didnt have much luck and once again struck out. Aurelio was usually very serious when it came to hunting for himself so his true personality didnt get in the way of a hunt. "What would make you think you were disturbing me?" he wondered as he tilted his head again slightly. He laid himself down telling Bell know that he wasnt planning anything and wiggled a bit to adjust his positioning to be a bit more comfortable.

She gave Aurelio another unsure smile, tail twitching as her ears swerved forward and straight up so that she could hear what he was saying. Her gaze refocused on her new... well... what to call him... friend? Stranger? Acquaintance? Shrugging to herself, she suddenly saw that his eyes were as dark, deep, and blue as hers, and she had to laugh at herself for not noticing sooner... Then Bell realized she was basically just uncomfortable because Aurelio had scared her badly earlier, and she was still getting used to his presence. "W-Well, I-I d-don't kn-know e-exactly," she commented, mentally flailing in panic, "F-For one, I-I d-didn't know y-you w-were h-hunting that r-rabbit, a-and I a-almost m-made y-you lose your p-prey," she finished quietly, but loud enough for him to hear. She was embarrassed that she had chased off what she had originally thought was her prey but apparently it turned out to be Aurelio's... and he had caught it with ease from the looks of it. Oh, she was so envious now... quite jealous he was so very good, but she wouldn't be able to say so aloud. It was rude and mean to say what she was feeling, but she did wish she was as good as Aurelio seemed to be. "I-I'm n-not v-very good a-at h-hunting y-yet," she added, blushing with embarrassment as she looked towards the ground, which was suddenly so very interesting.

Aurelio laid there rather contently as he flattened his ears against his head. Even with his ears flattened he was still able to hear everything that was said to him clearly. "About the rabbit. Dont worry about it. One shouldnt worry about another's prey. Hunting is usually an every one for them self kind of thing." he stated with a nod. He didnt really mind the his prey was almost scared off. It made things a bit more interesting and challenges are always good to have once in a while. "Oh!" he blurted out, "I'm sorry I startled you earlier. I didnt mean to jump out like that it just tends to happen." Aurelio then stood slowly, grabbing the rabbit in his mouth, and started to approach Bell. He got within a few feet in front of her and tossed the rabbit by her paws. "Take it." he demanded with a happily. "Hunting takes time to learn. You cant just learn it and be a pro over night. You'd be surprised how many night I went hungry because I could catch a hunt." He was hoping that saying that he was, at one time, a bad hunter would help brighten Bells spirits about hunting.
