Tsuki was completely bored for most of the morning, since a light rain had taken cover for many hours. But, the afternoon brought great things, and the sun was finally showing itself again after she and her family had eaten a hefty lunch! It was such an uplifting thing, and she was relieved that it wasn't going to rain the rest of the day. Her parents now allowed her to wander off on her own since they felt she was able enough, and she did just that the second that they allowed her to dash away.
She felt her hooves sink into bits of the earth, and at first she was perplexed by this. It took her a minute to remind herself that the rain had made everything mushy, and she tried hard to not dirty herself in the process!
She trotted then to the most open area she could find, and felt that the ground was sturdier under the complete rays of the sun. It felt so nice to run around in the grass, and she giggled to herself as she trotted back and forth in her own little game. It was always nice to get some energy out, and she did just that while dozing off in her own world.

However Tsuki was not as alone as she appeared to be on that fine summer day. For hiding a few feet ahead of her and to the right, beneath a rather large bush was a foal. Having been birthed not too many moons before this fine day. He was alone which in itself could be counted as odd, what kind of mother would leave her foal all alone in a field. Ah that didn't matter, what mattered now was that Cai, as the foal had been named was all alone.
Dozing lightly in the cool shade of the bush, Cai's small ear's twitched as he picked up the sounds of the approaching foal. He was wide awake in a flash, perhaps that mother had finally returned? Scrambling to his equally small feet, Cai peeked out of the bush. Well it wasn't mother, in fact it was quite the opposite. A rather large, at least to him; filly was approaching his hiding spot. Ducking back inside the bush, Cai pondered upon what he should do. Confront the large filly or hide? He dimly remembered being told that hiding was a good thing but well he was rather curious about large filly. Making up his mind, Cai stepped out into the bright summer day. His dark colored coat standing out in the bright sunlight. Blinking in the sudden brightness, Cai blinked peering towards the filly. His eyes wide at the massive height that to him the filly seemed.
Swallowing Cai took a few small steps towards the filly. A small jolt of fear ran up his spine, perhaps this wasn't the best of ideas. Stammering slightly he called out in his soft voice. "h-he'lo?"

Tsuki didn't know how to react. As she turned her head to see where the voice came from, she if anything was expecting to look up, but instead her gaze went downward, and she saw the most confusing of sights! A little.. LITTLE pony! "Oh my, Cute!" was her first reaction, and she moved her body to face him, and bent her head down in a friendly matter. "Hello to you!" she then said.
Never had she seen something like him before, and she was overjoyed with happiness at what had approached her. How could something be smaller then her? She had to have been dreaming! But he had talked and everything so.. this had to have been real!
"Now now, what have I found here? This is just too much to handle." Was he younger then her? She really couldn't tell at all. His complexion was so interesting and dark, it was almost the opposite of her coloring.
"Don't be frightened, I promise I am nice! Though I am sorry for blabbering on like this, I have never seen such a cute pony before. And also.. one that is smaller then me."

Cai was startled and complexed by the filly, at the amount of words she could string together in a single breath of air. Peering into her face, he tilted his head slightly to the left, in a curious manner. A light breeze ruffled his small mane and tail as he stood stock still. For several long moments, he neither moved or spoke. He wasn't sure what to say to what the filly had rambled off to him. Shifting his weight Cai offered the filly a slight grin.

Tsuki also stared back, but this time raised a brow slightly. "I thought I heard you talk before..." or did the creature not say a word? He was the one that got her attention, so why was he so quiet now? The filly was completely frazzled by the silence, and she shook her head and backed up a few spaces to give the other pony room.
She brought her gaze away from him now, and continued to watch the landscape. Maybe she had freaked him out by talking too much? Well, if that was the case, she calmed herself down, and brought her comfortable expression back to her face.
After another moment of silence, she brought her eyes back on the little guy, and awaited if he really did want to speak. Her parents had taught her that not everyone spoke as rapidly or comfortably as she did, so she would wait until the male felt able to speak aloud. It gave her a moment to enjoy his coloring again, since it was the complete opposite of her and her family.

"er...yew' did" His speech was a bit sloppy and funny sounding due to his young age but at least he was trying. Flicking his tail to disturb the fly that had landed upon him, Cai watched the bright red filly curiously. "where's yew'r mum?" He asked, his voice nearly a whisper. Perhaps she was alone like he was? And if that was the case, maybe she wouldn't mind him tagging along?

There it was, his cute little voice again. "My parents are a few miles away from here, as well as my brother and sister." she paused then, and looked at him closely. "Aaand.. what about you? Where are your parents?" It couldn't be that he was alone!? He was so little and new to this world, so to be left alone was just.. scary! Now she was starting to get worried, since she had lived such a simple life with her family.
She had run into others that didn't have a family before, but they were older, and seemed to be over it already. She wasn't sure about the scenario with this guy, so she watched him closely for his next reaction. She couldn't imagine living alone, but she knew her parents would make her soon, since she needed to progress with her training and move on by herself. "What's your name, by the way?" she then asked, only because it was strange to keep addressing him without a name.

" 'M Cai and my momma is wel' I don' kno'" He had no clue where his mother was, he hadn't seen her for a few days. He was rather hungry due to that. However Cai didn't seem daunted by the fact that he had no clue where his mother was. He had never even met his father, so it never occurred to him that he might have one.

"Ok Cai.. I'm Tsuki.." she was watching him still, but with a sadder expression now. He wasn't even upset that he didn't know about his parents, but maybe he just didn't understand it all? This made the whole situation more complex, and Tsuki wasn't sure how to handle it. She didn't want to necessarily feel bad for him.. though she wasn't sure how to help at all!
"Well.. do you need anything Cai? Maybe I can help you out." she then said, hoping to bring back a cheerful expression. There was no reason to dwell on family anymore, so she flicked her tail and tried to bring some energy back.
