The wild dog slowly walked along unfamiliar area. He'd never been here, yet it was nice once in a while to explore new places. The sun was almost setting, so the setting around was covered in an orange hue. His gray and black fur was much different then his sisters. She was white with gray markings to match his black ones. His purple eyes stood out best about him. Dark, yet very noticeable.
The wind blew nicely against his fur as he continued to slowly make his way. Of course, he wasn't sure where or which way he was going. But, he didn't even really care.

Lela'bahari breathed a sigh of relief as she paused to look back at the forest behind her, the afternoon light creating huge shadows amongst the trees. She had escaped the nightly hunting rituals of her pack once again. While she had recently blossomed into adulthood, and therefore should have been required to participate in the hunt, Lela had not been built for such activity. Her bodice had remained small and thin, her legs long and slender - almost to the point of looking fragile, like a deer's legs. Such a frail appearance made her practically useless in bringing down large prey, yet her speed more than made up for such things. It also gained her a bit of leniency when it came to the rituals.
This was what brought her here, wandering slowly towards the local watering hole. She'd begged and pleaded with her mother to let her skip out tonight, promising she'd do extra scouting duties. The young blue and black wild dog just had no interest in hunting tonight. It was too pretty this afternoon to put an end to someone's life.
Completely oblivious to the world around her, she gradually came up to the banks of the water, lowering her head to lap at it's crisp, cool contents.

It didn't take long for a watering whole to come into view as he slowly made his way. Though, something else he hadn't totally expected, another wild dog had also been there. He pretended not to see her at first, though he watched her secretly, just in case she was a threat. Perhaps, it was a scout. Though she seemed to absent minded to be one. He flicked his tail and continued to pretend he didn't see her. Walking close to the nice cold and crisp water before him, he decided to take a drink.
Closing his eyes as he did so, to make sure that it seemed as if he truly didn't know the other was there. It was going to be her move to show if he needed to worry or not. He flicked his tail again. Lifting up his head this time. His eyes landed on the female next, and just sat there for a moment. He didn't know if he should say anything, or wait for her to say something. He moved his paws slightly, accidentally hitting a rock making it flop into the water.
He jumped a bit as if he had just noticed the female and looked at her and then looked of in the direction he came as if to say he was no threat and would retreat if she tried to attack. Though, she wasn't on the same side he was, though it wouldn't take long to just walk around or through it.

After satisfying her parched thirst, Lela had taken to staring at her reflection in the water. The surface rippled with small minnows poking their heads up to snatch tiny gnats droning over the still waters. It was such a peaceful afternoon. The crickets had begun to chirp their creaky violins already.
Absent-minded she was, for even though Lela's nose was just as sharp as any good wild dog's, she didn't notice the approach of the strange male. Truly, it wouldn't matter out here. This particular watering hole was a bit of a distance from her pack borders. And even if another crossed those borders, it would be rare for Lela to pose any sort of threat towards them. She had just...never encountered any sort of evil in her life, and so assumed, with puppish naivety, that everyone was good deep down.
Gazing deeply into the water, her thoughts far away, it was no surprise that she jumped as she heard a rock splash, a small yip escaping her. Large ears swiveled forward, her wide blue eyes searching everywhere around her. And then she saw him. A stranger. She backed up a small step, unsure of herself. What was she supposed to do? Mother had always warned about wandering rogues...But she was an adult now. She could make her own decisions.
Her white tipped tail slowly curved upwards, waving hesitantly over her spine. It was a friendly gesture, showing that she was not, indeed, an aggressive canine. A small smile curving her muzzle, she called across the small watering hole, not making a move to go any closer. "Hello there."

He jerked from her yelp. It wasn't something he expected at all. He watched her carefully, but the next move he didn't expect either. It was like, she lightened up a little. As if she was trying to be his friend? Was this a trick? He watched her a few seconds. It really wasn't him to fight. Avoid it at all cost he said normally.
He watched her smirk, or grin. He smiled back. "Hello." He replied back. Though he still wasn't exactly relaxed. Just in case it was a trap. His tail hung there as still as ever as he just looked over the female. She didn't seem like a fighter either.

If Lela wasn't a fighter, then she was definitely not a trickster either. She had not been born with those genes in her heart, and was truly the honest, happy-go-lucky canine that she always seemed to be. Tilting her head to the side, she took a hesitant step forward on her white-tipped paws.
This strange dark male was definitely a rogue. Her sharp nose couldn't pick up the smell of other wild dogs on his fur, so he'd come from no pack. Besides, her mother's pack was the only one in this area - mostly because of the lions that lived just through the other side of the forest. Yet...he seemed perfectly harmless. What could possibly happen to her?
Walking forward slowly so as not to startle him (he did seem awfully skittish), she slowly circled around the small watering hole until she stood a few feet from him, her tail swaying placidly at her back feet. "I'm Lela'bahari, yet my family calls me Lela. Who are you?" she said curiously.

He eased up a bit. She did seem rather friendly, and there really wasn't a reason to run. "Nice to meet you, Lela." He said with a bow. He tried his best to be nice as possible. Though, it wasn't hard at all unless the other was rude.
"I'm Kucha'kivuli. You can Call me Kucha, or Kivuli. Or anything for that matter." he said with a smile. He felt as if he had started rambling. "Sorry to disturb you, I didn't realize this was a pack lands." He lied. Well, if it kept him out of a fight, it was always good to lie.

Plopping her rump down on the ground, Lela felt instantly at ease. The smell of a threat, which animals could so easily pick up on another, was not present. She was absolutely sure no harm would come to her, and even if it did, a good long howl would bring her pack to her rescue.
The black and blue female bowed her head in return. "And a pleasure to meet you as well, Kucha." She tilted her head to the side, large ears swiveling forward. The thought crossed her mind that it should have been impossible to not realize he'd crossed into the territory of quite a sizable pack, though it was by no means large. She mentally shrugged off the thought. Maybe they'd missed a spot on patrolling the borders.
"Oh, it's not a disturbance at all," she grinned. "We're a very peaceful pack. We don't mind the occasional passerby." Her white-tipped tail wiggled at her toes. It had been a long time since she'd actually talked with anyone outside her pack. "If you don't mind me asking, where have you come from?"
[sorry for the long wait. XD I had no internet whilst moving. <3]

[No worries]
He felt like sighing in relief. The pack that he happened to stumble in wasn't at all mean. Or he hoped. From what she said it wasn't. "That's good to know." He said with a smile. "It's rather nice meeting you aswell." He paused. "Apart from my sister, your the first wild dog I've met." He had to say.
He didn't even really know his parents, nor did he care. It was just him and his sister for a while, but now they had went their different ways. He guessed it would have happened sooner then it did, but they stayed until they were both adults.

Lela tilted her head to the side. "You only have one sister? You're awfully lucky," she laughed. Growing up with six siblings had been rough on Lela. She hadn't really bonded with any of her sisters, and out of her brothers, Sauda was the only one she'd really spent time with. Perhaps it was the young female's tendencies to wander far from her packlands that had caused a rift between her siblings and she, but that was a trait Lela would never be rid of.
"And you haven't run into any other wild dogs, you say? I thought there were rogues all over the place in this area...I don't know of any other packs, however." In all of Lela's adventures, she had only had the fortune (or perhaps misfortune) to wander into those of feline orientation, or directly into another pack's lands. She normally avoided rogues at all cost, as her mother and packmates had always told of how violent some of them could be.

"I think I only have one. Only remember one." He said with a side ways smile. It wasn't like he could remember too much after his parents died and it was only him and his sister. He flicked his tail, rather curious about having a bunch of siblings. "How many do you have?" He asked with a smile.
"oh, Nope. No others" He said with a smirk. "I'm new here, so I really wouldn't know if there were many other rogues."

Lela had only ever known half of her parents. She'd never met her father, and for all she knew, he might be dead as well. Her mother never spoke of him to begin with, and none of her siblings or her had ever tried to pry her for information. Turning to dabble a single white-tipped paw in the water, she said, "I have three sisters and three brothers. It's not the biggest family, but it is pretty hard to manage for a single mother and a very new pack."
Her blue eyes turned to the horizon, gazing out on the flat, sprawling lands. Strange. Perhaps all the rogues in the area had migrated elsewhere? Turning her head to the side, she grinned at the male. "So what brings you this far from the Southlands?"

"I bet it's nice to have a big family?" He said more then asking a question. Though, it came out like a question. He planned on having a family sometime, but he didn't know if he wanted a big one or a small one. Though, it was not the time to think about that.
"Oh? Well, Just exploring." He said simply as he watched her pay in the water with her paw. He was now sitting down again. No need to try to get away fast, she didn't seem like someone that would attack him.

The young female turned her attention back to the water, both front paws submerged. "It can be nice at times. Others, it's just a bother," she laughed. She supposed she wouldn't have minded so much if she'd been closer with her siblings, but she'd never really gotten along too well with them. If she ever had a large family, she would make sure they all got along and were happy with one another.
At the mention of exploring, Lela perked up, turning her head towards him. Exploring was her passion in life, and she had so many plans to visit far away places. So far, the furthest she'd been was the Pridelands. But her main dream was to visit the ocean one day, since that was what she was named after. "Really? Have you been many places?" Her white-tipped tail wagged furiously over her back. "I myself have only wandered a little distance from my pack. What with my duties and all here," she said, making a slight face at the mention of her duties.

He smiled. "Well, I'm sure every family has their good times and bad." He said with a nod. Looking at the water as well. He didn't know why, but water always made situations more calm for him. His tail wagged a little.
"Oh? Well, one day, you should really just go exploring. It's fun. Perhaps find someone that'll explore with you." He couldn't imagine not being able to explore his whole life, though it didn't seem that bad to not be able to do. It meant a real family. He only had his sister, though hardly saw her.
