Here's a new thread where you can talk about the latest action in Gaia!
Since the old storyline got locked up I'll move my recent post here...Quote: *cough* Soooooo.....
...who else thinks Ian looks hotter in this recent manga? ninja
...no thats not the only reason I'm bringing this thread back up xp I just figured that since the Von Helson sisters are back and Edmund and Gambino on the move, now may be a good time to bring back discussion on Gaia's storyline.
I think I saw somebody mention vampires in the Off Topic thread...

I think I was the one you saw mentioning vampires. I think that the Von Helsons are Vampires, hence Edmund asking for garlic and black orchids.

I agree. It sounds like they are vampires.

Seeing as they haven't done anything special with it sooo far except waste people's gold, our Halloween event will have something to do with vampires. Nice change from Jack, zombies and everything else there was in the past

Wow this storyline has tons more character plot than any of the others. Now we finally know where that head scar came from! Anyone else following the vampire storyline?

Yep. I wonder if Ian (Damian) and Louie are vampires, or vampiric, by birth? Their father (that creepy guy with the black hair) seems to be a vampire. Why'd Ian's hair change color from black to blond? The treatments?

They didn't look like vampires when they were children, so maybe since Ian had escaped, his hair colour was effected somehow. .....which.... could be treatments I guess. But it probably has to be different from the ones he's getting now cause I don't remember him ever getting treatments until Edmund started going after those flowers.
Or maybe he's just one of those weird people who have one colour during their childhood and a completely different one the next...
My fiance's hair was white-blond when he was a kid, but you'd never know it cause his hair's brown now :p

True, Ian didn't ever seem to be getting these treatments until recently, and somehow black orchids are the key to some problem or another of theirs...
I suppose it is possible, but I wouldn't have expected a change from really dark hair to light hair, especially from middle-late childhood (I'd say they were about seven at the time of Ian's memory/dream) to adulthood like that. I know that dark to light can occur (I had black hair as a baby, turned blond very suddenly at two, and gradually darkened to brown after that) but I still don't know about it changing so drastically through growing up. Hair dye? Perhaps to hide from his vampire family? Is it even possible to dye black hair at all?
Something that occured to me: During his trial, his friends often admitted that Ian was "spastic". According to the dictionary, this refers to the spasming of muscles at odd times. I got the feeling that they were referring to a character trait. Also, Ian managed to smash Gambino's butler into the floor. Think this could have had something to do with the fact his father and brother are vampires?

....what if.... Mrs. Gambino was Ian's mom?
...that'd explain the lighter haircolour.
Course it would also add in a whole onslaught of other complexities now wouldn't it? lol sweatdrop

I don't think that Ian's mom was Mrs. Gambino. For one thing, Gino seems a bit younger than Ian and Louie, and I somehow doubt that Gambino would have married a woman who already had twins with a vampire. And Ian's mom was also running only with Ian and Louie in tow. If she were Gino's mom as well, she would have stayed with her baby if possible, right? It wouldn't make sense otherwise. Besides, if Ian's mom were married to Mr. Gambino, she probably would not have been running like that. I'd think she'd be protected.
Also, I think that the picture of Gambino's wife and the woman in Ian's memory/dream are too different to be the same woman. I did figure they might have been sisters, though. Perhaps Ian is Gambino's nephew via marriage of his mother's sister to Gambino.

Is Edmund Ian's mother's brother??
That would make Edmund Ian's uncle!
( I just burst in on the conversation, haven't read everything)

What do you think of the latest updates?
Bit short for my liking, and the textures of the animation could use some work, but it's rather interesting!
I'm a little disappointed with Edmund, though. I like him; I think he's a good guy. But when Gambino was going on about fame, glory, and wealth, Edmund was laughing right along with him.
What happened to Gino and Lyam? It's like they've vanished.

I thought the animation was actually much better this time around than the first time. And there was so much more plot, which is nice. Though I admit it did go by pretty quick.
I'm sure we'll see Gino and Liam again sometime soon.
What was up with the random carnival? I wanna go to a Gaian carnival!
