Well I'm writing a story called Escaping Limbo about a girl, Hailey, who is hit by a car, dies, and is trapped in, well...Limbo! The grim reaper of the story, Luke, is a pretty nice guy. So nice in fact Hailey wonders why it is that he's the grim reaper at all.
So the way things work in Limbo is the one who's been stuck in Limbo the longest (about 98% of those who arrive in Limbo leave whithin a reasonable amount of time) gets the job as Grim Reaper. Hence, Luke has been dead for a long long time. And all that time he's been unable to move on.
It's later revealed that he can't even remember how he died or why he can't move on. (Hope you enjoyed this short broken summary lol. I left out like half the plot but that's not important right now.

Sooo....can anyone help me think of an interesting way to die that would tramatize a person like this? It would have to be in a time long ago...not like caveman time or anything >.>...but a decent amount of time. And he does have a slight accent so maybe somewhere outside the US would work for him. *__* There are so many times and places to choose from but it's giving me such problems. >.<"
