This will be a "Magical Girl" type of RP... In the vein of "I Dream of Jeannie" and "Chobits" and "Tenchi Muyo" etc.
We WILL Follow all of Gaia's TOS. If people want to go beyond PG-13, don't do it on the Gaia site.
There will be three types of characters.
1) Magical Girl/Boy: Your powers are limited only by a few conditions.
* Any magick done must be to benefit your current Master/Mistress
* Time cannot be altered with your magick
* You cannot directly affect another magical girl/boy with your magick
Also, you feel a very strong devotion to your Master/Mistress and must do what they say with a few exceptions
*You cannot do anything that you feel will endanger your Master/Mistress
*You cannot do anything that will be directly suicidal (though you can put yourself in harm's way in a battle, etc)
All of these Magical Girls/Boys will positively LOVE their Masters/Mistresses, in a very pure an altruistic way. This may or may not be romantic love, but at the least it is BFF level.
2) Owner of a Magical Necklace: You command (willingly or not) a Magical Girl/Boy because you put on the Magical Necklace. You can pass the necklace on to someone else only if you are beaten in battle, and only to the person who beat you.
3) Close friend of an owner of a Magical Necklace: You know one of the Magical Necklace owners, and you are "in" on the secret. You may wish to beat the owner in battle and get the Necklace, or you may just really like the necklace owner as a friend or maybe more! (You may find yourself in a love triangle with the Magical Girl/Boy)

Persia, near Mahabad, 1923
"That's the last of them..." Professor Fargo said. "All of them are now safely locked up in this chest here. If these got out and into the wrong hands..."
His assistant, Horace North, nodded gravely. "Professor, shouldn't we keep one of them out and free? I mean, as a protector to the others... If we lost the whole box then the danger would be immense. With one free and being controlled by a responsible individual, we could track down any of the missing ones easily... should that happen."
"Horace, we've had this discussion before. You and I may be able to handle such responsibility, but there is no guarantee that we could keep them in good hands forever. No, the world needs to forget that these things ever existed." Professor Fargo was about 70 years old but looked perhaps 50. He straightened up and handed a key to Horace. "This goes into the furnace at the university, as we discussed. I will hide the box in a place only I know, and then visit my hypnotist."
Horace, a man who looked about as old as Professor Fargo but was only 35, nodded. "Fine, Professor, have it your way." He took the key and walked away. Once he was a short distance away he smiled, fingering the necklace in his pocket. He knew that the Professor would check in on the box often but he had time. The Professor wouldn't live forever, and once he passed, he would use the necklace he had to recover the rest and become the most powerful man in the world.
New York City, 1953
Old Man Horace was 63. He had been diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease five years ago, just prior to the death of Professor Fargo who lived to nearly 100 years old. There was something significant about that event, but he couldn't remember exactly what. He knew the necklace he kept had something to do with the Professor's passing but most days he was lucky to find his way to the kitchen anymore.
One day he had a revelation, a moment of lucidity. He rubbed on the necklace and called forth its guardian. A spectacularly beautiful woman appeared in front of him. "What is it you wish, Master?"
Once again, his disease grabbed at his brain and he remembered only part of it. "First of all, the rest of you must be free from your prison." He managed. He'd forgotten to ask that they be bound to him as Master as well.
The woman smiled and clapped her hands. "It is done. They are scattered to the four winds as it was meant from the time of Eden."
"That's nice," is all old man Horace managed to say in reply.
"Is there anything else Master wants?" She asked. "I remind you Master, I have been tucked away for some time so please be literal in your wants."
"I wish that I could rest, and never have problems with my memory again." He stated.
"Master, your disease is one that I have never encountered before..." She protested.
"Are you saying you cannot do it?" The old man began to get angry.
"No, I just do not know how it will turn out." She replied.
"Just do it." Horace demanded.
"As you wish." She said, and Horace immediately died of a heart attack as she tried to immediately reverse all of the brain damage he'd suffered all at once.
The Present:
There are many of these spirits are bound to magical necklaces. The players are either the spirits themselves, their Masters/Mistresses, or someone close to a Master/Mistress.

I think I'd be quite interested to play an owner of a magical necklace. ^u^
As Anex said, PM me when there're some more people. I'll be working on a profile 'til then. :3
I do have a couple of questions, though... Just a few things that I'm curious about:
Firstly, do the necklaces and the spirits that are bound to them have specific elements associated with them?
Is there going to be, as is common with many magical girl series, a 'villain' who we will be fighting against/with? Or is it just between the owners of the necklaces and their spirits?
And lastly, since the necklaces were scattered "to the four winds", is there any restriction on where the owners of the necklaces can come from? And will something happen to draw them together, if they're far apart?
Oh, and will there be any age restrictions on characters? The one I have in mind is 11 years old, so I thought I ought to make sure that's okay. I know some RPs don't allow any characters under a certain age...
I don't need specific answers, if you don't want to reveal your plot ahead of time (just yes or no would be fine), it'd just help with some of my character development to know a little of this information. ^u^

No... They are Janni (a type of Djinn associated with all four elements)
Is there going to be, as is common with many magical girl series, a 'villain' who we will be fighting against/with? Or is it just between the owners of the necklaces and their spirits?
There will be a villain... but in true Anime style that will be revealed after a few "episodes"
And lastly, since the necklaces were scattered "to the four winds", is there any restriction on where the owners of the necklaces can come from? And will something happen to draw them together, if they're far apart?
They can be from anywhere in the world. (It would be nice if people used their actual Country/State of RL origin but I won't ask people to give out personal info if they don't want to) And my character, an "unattached" magical girl (the one mentioned in the background story) will be bringing all of the owners and Janni together
Oh, and will there be any age restrictions on characters? The one I have in mind is 11 years old, so I thought I ought to make sure that's okay. I know some RPs don't allow any characters under a certain age...
Eleven is probably the youngest I want to go, because Janni are often perceived as flirts, and even promiscuous and I really don't wanna think about a Janni flirting with very young children... it just creeps me out. Eleven is old enough where they're starting to think about the opposite sex so it makes for a very cute often done Anime thing; playing up the awkwardness.

1. Can we have 2 characters? Because I want to be a Magical Girl and an Amulet Holder(no, my girl wouldn't be bound to my holder).
2. Can I invite my sister? We do everything together.

You can play two characters, and you got it! You cannot play one bound to the other... kinda like playing alone huh?
Sure invite your sister...
Either PM me or post your character, depending on how much you want to reveal on the string, and how much you trust your fellow RPers to not act on the information posted on the string.
