It's seriously an awesome show, and in no way deserves its bad reputation. Seriously, every time I see a Bobobo thread in the AMC all it does is insult it, and it bothers me quite a bit D:
I'll try to explain it for anyone who doesn't know it.
Every time some thing is created, something comes along that tries to parody it. However, when something has grown large, bloated and into nearly universal recognition, more drastic measures must be taken.
Bobobo is simply an anime to end all anime. It is the culmination of over 30 years of Japanese television all distilled into one psychadelic rant that mocks every iteration of of the genre. However, the producers decided to do this in the form of the old fashioned Saturday morning serial kid's show. In reality, it's like the /b/ of anime.
The show format is that of a sketch comedy show that occurs at random during a prolonged, typical anime serial about an oppressive empire and one determined hero out to stop it. However, a rogue's gallery for "wiggins" is the cast of the show and they constantly interrupt the story with skits involving anything from Japanese daytime office drama, Samurai movies, yakuza comedy shows, game shows, Romance movies, etc. The story is still followed throughout the show but all fights involve the use of random techniques that are either rediculously effective or just there to make the audience laugh their pants off.
If anything, think of combining SNL and MAD TV with InuYasha and Dragonball Z and make it ten times funnier and that's Bobobo. Caution must be used when watching and particular attention must be payed or you will become confused and lose both the point of the episode and the desire to watch further episodes, or your mind.
Needless to say, it's quite lovely ^^
I myself have written a fanfic or two, far too many AMVs, and even founded a forum on this anime.

My favorite pairing is a slash one, RiceLam. Hilarity indeed.

I watch it, I don't really get it. But I think it's kind of funny. I don't hate it, but I don't love it either.

But it does have a plot, actually a quite clear one if you look and I could probably recite it if you like.

I didn't watch it at first...and I still dont watch it, but when I do watch it, I have to admit it's funny. And as for the bashers...I think all they're doing to trying to act mature. Because a lot of people think maturity=loss of sense of humor.

When I first watched it, I was like "wtf is this show?" but then I got into more and its funny as hell, I really like it heart

Just to add in, the older ones were way, way better. I don't watch the new episodes anymore because they have gotten so out of ideas.

I love Bobobo bo bo bobo. No other anime/manga can give us the greatness of Emoboy.
I also learned the hard way not to eat while watching bobobo. It is a choking hazard
