Okay first let me explain something before I ask it, I use to belive in god and the "all mighty" three some that is the trinity, but lately (the past few years) I fell out of it don't really see the point, any ways here it is: Can you prove with out a doubt god exist with out useing your bible or the look at the stars it screams designer. Just use plain facts to prove there is some one out there.

Please indulge this little request of mine and I want a nice clean converstaion with out accusations or the whole your going to hell bit.
biggrin thanks.

Oh one last thing yes my name means God Breathed in Latain but dont read into it. Its a name ;D

No one can prove beyond a shadow of a doubt God exists. Because then we would be forced to believe in Him which would defeat the purpose of the human race. But from the experiences I've had, I have no doubt He is real. Ever since I rededicated my life when I switched churches, my life has gotten so much better. He has blessed me with many life changing experiences, many within the last year, and helped me overcome a lot of obstacles in my life.

perhaps reading "Conversations with God" will help

not a bad read if you get past the fact that the naration is comming from a crazy person.

and its not long

but anyway

perhaps we are part of God and she can only know herself through us
just look at the many wonders of man
perhaps god is the love and kindness in our hearts

on the flipside
there have been many not so good things too
but i think i made my point

No not really, but thanks though.

Any ways the whole reason I am asking this is because I am considering the possibility that there may be no god at all. I just wanted to hear facts before I make a desicion.

Last night, the back up singer to my band, and probablly the best friend i've ever had called me crying. She was thinking of killing herself. her "best friends" had deserted her, and said a whole bunch of stuff to her [dont ask, its girl stuff] but anyways, the first thought that came to my mind was "read the bible" so i got out my bible, and opened to a random page. It was Psalm 56. Is that a conincidence? Another one of her friends called, and she put me on hold, that whole time i was looking up verses, and praying for her. And praying for God to help me talk her out of it, that I couldn't do it alone... When she called back, her friend said he had read the bible, and read a verse that God said he would never give us more than we can handle, nothing to kill ourselves over. Next Kait told me that John

1) never reads his bible
2) talks about calling 1 in the morning, but never does

if you ask me, this was God's way of reaching out to her. The next thing tht happened was her friend Kelsey texted her asking if she was alright... She didnt know what was going on. She then sent a verse to Kait. After a few hours, she was smiling again. Earlier that night, when i told Kait to pray, and turn to God... she said that he never answers her... Tell me thats not God.

There is a chance you opened up to that verse because you have read it before makeing a mark, even unoticed, to open it there again. And sometimes the bible just says the right thing. The bible makes me think of a Hallmark card it just sounds nice when you read it. Well, certain parts do the other is about God killing people and people killing people and people killing them self.

Oh and its a good thing your friend didnt kill her self, tell her to go to thereapy and talk about it. Its good, and it helps too.

Well, I can say that I have seen God in action.
When I went to El Salvador on a missions trip, I was called into ministry. And when I was called, I cried for about three hours. I never cry.
Then, one of the nationals who spoke little English (well, she could say basic things like "Hi. How are you?") came up to me and said (in perfect English), "Thank you so much for the passion you have for my country. God is going to use you to do great things. And when you return, you will see miracles." She didn't understand when I tried to tell her that I would be coming back next year.
Not to mention this one time when we were going to show a movie to the neighborhood kids in El Salvador, and since it was rainy season, it was going to rain. At first, we were going to pack up and put everything away, but we decided to stay. Those of us who were there on the trip prayed that the rain would pass over us. It didn't. It went around us! It was amazing. Once the movie was over, and everything was put away, the rain fell where we were sitting.

I never read my bible. So i've never even seen that verse before, so your prediction there is wrong.

yes.... yes there is a percentage... 1/1562 pages in my bible. Good odds, huh? but let me ask you a question of my own. Seeing as your determined to prove that God doesn't exist... Why would you bother posting up your question, when you dont even wanna know what we say? is it for the personal satisfaction of proving that he doesnt exist? I'm NOT accusing you of anything... Just seeing in your disbelief of God, and your attempts to prove that he doesnt exist for everyones post... it seems as if you wont hear what we have to say, and are only focusing on your perception... Once again, i do not mean this as an insult, nor am i accusing you of anything. I just want to know, whats the point of asking the question, when you wont accept the answer?

But he does accept your answers. Then he thinks about. Then he comes up with an easier solution. What's wrong with that?

Oh, and you doubting son of satan sent in to try and spread the seeds of doubt with your 'reason' and 'logic'. What the bible says is obviously far greater than whatever you'll ever say because it was written a long time ago and it's useally in a very fancy goldcolerd style.

So you're gonna burn in hell because we say so because that's what we learned from the bible. And the bible is allways right because the dudes that wrote it long ago didn't make mistakes back then.

If there was a way to prove beyond doubt that God existed, we wouldn't need faith. That's why it's called faith.

Nobody can "prove to you" that God exists. I could tell you the reasons that I believe in God, but since you haven't lived my life and haven't seen those experiences through my eyes, you could easily come up with a rational, non-divine reason for those experiences. However, for me, in my life, they have given me the "proof" that I need to believe that God does indeed exist.

Faith in God (or lackthereof) has to come from within you, not from the testimonies of others outside yourself. Your decision to believe in God or not has to come from your own experiences, not from those of others. If you want to believe in God, look at your own life rather than examining the lives of others. If you do the latter, you'll only be disappointed and get into enormous pissing matches about what really counts as divine intervention.

I have to agree with you on one thing my brother, no one can prove God was real. But I can prove to you my Lord is real. Thus the Roman tax records. But, to prove God is real doesn't come from the bible, or some body saying, GOD IS REAL! NOW BELIEVE IT OR YOUR GONNA DIE!! It comes from your heart, it's faith and it's that hunch he's real and some how or another, it comes to you or that person that believes in God enough to say they don't need evidence or scientific proof.

Some of us had events in our that have come to show our God is real, prohaps a death, or a dramatic event that shows God is real. I can't or no body in this guild can say why Gods real my brother, you have to find that yourself.

Also, I have known thrashmetaljunky for years, me and him are like brothers. He wouldn't lie, I have seen him do that before.

Good luck and God Bless!

P.S.
