(I'm half-asleep and don't have the book with me, so this may not make much sense to anyone later. xd )

8-_-r o c k o n-_-8, you're very adamant about your dislike of Jacob, aren't you? (I love militant Stephenie Meyer fans.)

There are those of us who think there ARE reasons to feel sorry for Jacob.

1. Yes, he "tortured" Edward. But both he and Edward are to blame for hurting Bella with their thinly veiled animosity towards each other.
2. Yes, he forced a kiss on Bella, but it was an act of desperation. Kind of like a last ditch attempt to prove to her that he loved her.
3. Think about it. Two men who're in love with the same woman who're constantly pushing each other's buttons to see who's going to give first. Of course Jacob rubbed it in Edward's face, he's a 16-year-old. Edward's 100+ years old. He shouldn't let emotions like jealousy cloud his mind so easilly.
4. Once again, Jacob is a 16-year-old boy/1-year-old werewolf. He loves the fact that he can give Bella something Edward can't without extreme restraint and isn't against using it to his advantage (albeit in a rather inappropriate way through his little mental fanatsies). But hey, boys will be boys. Yay for testosterone.
5. The kiss was Jacob's way of saying goodbye-and-I-still-love-you to Bella. I'm probably remembering this out of chronological order, but Edward knew Jacob was listening nearby when he and Bella started talking about the wedding. Any emotional outbursts from Jacob after that were partially Edward's fault. He pushed Jacob to the edge.

Remember this saying: "All's fair in love and war".

(I'm not trying to start a fight. I'm just putting the pro-Jacob side up for consideration.)

all of that and Jacob hasen't imprinted yet and when he does he will be happy. so if you feel bad for Jacob you shouldn't.

I do feel bad for Jacob...but I don't think Bella should have chosen him. To be honest, Eclipse kinda bothered me. If I was in her position, I don't think I would have been as indecisive as Bella. I would have picked Edward hands down. It came as a huge surprise when she admitted she loved him. So while I can totally sympathize with Jacob, I think Bella made it harder than it had to be (although I'm weird, I admit).

I do feel sorry for Jake because I also love him as well as Edward. Even after reading all that stuff I feel more sorry Jake thank Edward. I know that he's been a jerk and all but he really loves Bella and his doesn't want her to be taken away.
