Black toed paws moved across the grasses and ground, heading for some unknown destination. As the sun set and the moon rose, the red light turned the pale lioness almost golden-red. Scanning the grasses, she soon spotted what she sought. It was time to sever some old ties. Taking a deep breath, she headed towards the adult male, who seemed to be breaking under the events of his life.

He stared at nothing, merely ran events over in his head. Where had he gone wrong in life...? Perhaps it was when he didn't take the chance to get out of the Graveyard as a cub like he should have. Curse his stupid loyalty... And now he was still partially loyal to a lion who was dead. His sides twitched, pain tinging the wounds. A rustle behind him placed Toshiro on edge, and he rose up, turning to face whoever dared to approach a wounded lion. But all he saw was Kimiko, one of Nyekundu's younger daughters. "What do YOU want.?"

The anger and vehemence seemed to drip off of the other lion's question, causing Kimiko to balk. Eyeing the male, she noted that his eyes seemed to glow in the rising moonlight, filled with pain and anger. "To... To say goodbye... I think it's time we parted ways... For good. I don't care where you go.. You're dismissed from my sights." She eyed him, trying to gauge his reaction. Hopefully, he wouldn't take it too... Hard...

The male advanced towards the other, eyes narrow. "Goodbye?" He let out a bitter laugh. "YOU'RE saying goodbye? Wow, the heartless little pale one actually has that in her mind to say goodbye to someone who seems... BENEATH her." Pacing around a bit, Toshiro threw glares at Kimiko. "You have no right to dismiss me. You are no princess, you never WERE a princess, as far as I know, as far as I CARE. In fact, I don't care!" He moved closer, getting directly in her face, yellowed teeth bared. "You can go get ripped apart by crocodiles, and I won't even bat an eye, shed a tear, or even try to help."

Golden-orange eyes narrowed as the male got close, though the words stung. She had to admit that - They truly stung. She backed up a bit, claws flexing. "And you think you're something? You can't even find direction without somebody TELLING you to!" Though her words were intended to have bite, they lacked it. It sunk in that maybe, just maybe... NOBODY cared for her. She was, after all, just one lioness. Why would somebody care about HER? She continued to back up, ears flattened back.

The piebald male stalked closer, green eyes narrowed dangerously. "Oh, I'm plenty more than you are. I can hunt, I can survive, I can live without somebody taking care of me!" He lashed out at her, his anger and frustration boiling to the surface. In his mind, he saw a darker lioness, older, injured and feeble. In his mind, he saw his mother. But at the same time, Kimiko was nothing like Ishara - Never was, never would be. This didn't stop him, though, from taking swings at her and laying blows too long in coming. He reveled in the feel of his claws digging into flesh, seeming to get a high off of it.

Though the blows stung, the words stung far more. Cracking for the first time, Kimiko shied away from Toshiro. As tears, real tears, ran down her face, she showed on the outside the cub she'd spent so long trying to not be. Blood staining her snow-white coat, she turned and hurried away, wanting far from Toshiro and the hurtful truth. She did the only thing she could think of in such a situation - She ran, legs carrying her south and away from the Pridelands.

Toshiro glared after the lioness, anger still boiling. His silver ear flicked, pondering what to do. After a moment's thought, he turned and chased after her. If she was going to learn a lesson from this, it was going to be a damn painful one. Though he was slightly smaller, he caught up and tackled her, claws and teeth barred. What felt like years of pent up anger and frustration poured out into this one single attack.

Finally unable to take the bites and blows, Kimiko turned and attempted to beat Toshiro off. Black toes splaying out, she dug her claws into his face and sides. She didn't try to go for his neck, though - The thick silver mane protected him, providing only a mouthful of hair. She'd never known the male to be so strong, but she found her own as she shoved him off and, rolling over, ran off again. It was not likely she'd ever forget this day.

Tumbling off, Toshiro glared after Kimiko. "I hope I never see your worthless pelt again, Kimiko!" He rose up on his paws, shaking out his coat and mane. Man did he feel better! Silver-tipped tail flicking, he looked about. Far too close to a pride's lands for his liking... He grunted and headed west, wanting far away from his half-brothers and those that annoyed him dearly.
