Water droplets went flying, glittering under the African sun like diamonds. Tufah watched this and batted the water again with one forepaw, idle and content enough for now. It was a hot day, moreso than normal, so she'd found one of the waterholes to lay in. This one was nearer to the borders of the lands and less used since it was shallow. It came half way up her sides only but the shade of a small twisted acacia tree kept it cool.
Splash. Another rainbow of water drops. Splash. Another. Hmm...actually this could get boring after a while but she didn't wish to move really. It was so cool and calm.

 ((Couldn't find the new one, so this will have to do XD)) -The heat was easier on Haiba then it was his siblings, one slight blessing of his awkward pelt color, but today even it didn't shelter him from the unpleasantness of the day. He'd seen his sisters head off earlier, but it was only now that he finally lifted himself, letting small paws carry him in search of some reprieve.
The waterholes near the center of the lands he passed by without thought, not in the mood to be around others.. to be occostered by this person or that about his coloring. Oh how gleefully they always seemed to be when they stated 'You have Mufasa's coat dont' you? How lovely'. He would simply stare. And today he didn't have the patience.
Passing by one wateringhole, when he heard laughter ringing up about it he continued on, pausing softly when a familar sight touched his eyes.- "Tufah?" -Nearing with a few quick steps, he called out lightly.- "Tufah! Would you like me to splash you? It's awfully hot." -Silly boy, he thought she was trying to cool herself, surely she wasn't that inept.-

Matisho was always one for being around his siblings, at least one of them. He would always find a sibling and lay next to him or her. Quiet until spoken to, only his presence really. Often times, he finds himself alone so he seeks out someone to be by. Luckily, today, he had found two of them. Mat had followed Haiba after he left, following quietly behind him.
He entered the area without a word, moving himself under the small, twisted acacia tree and plopped himself down, curled up and rested his head. Today was too hot to frolic, not that he would, but that water was feeling very tempting.
He cared for his siblings and family deeply, but he would never openly say that. He tends to bully around Tahka for fun, out of pure play, how he takes it is his own choice. Tufah was kind, probably the kindest of the group, Mat cannot help but be a bit watchful over her. Then again, he is for his sisters, Sarafina and her. Haiba was nuetral to him, he did not bother him but he did not mind his presence. He liked having Haiba around some times. As for Shou... well, now that's something different for another time.
"Tufah... don't hurt yourself," he muttered.

When Haiba spoke, Tufah's head flicked 'round, red eyes wide with surprise. She'd thought she was alone or would have heard someone coming but the water had masked the sound of her siblings arriving. She'd sought out this lonely waterhole to get away from annoying Pride members after all. As one of Tiah's cubs and with her Taka-like pelt, Tufah too was recognisable, apparently....which was questionable and a pain.
However, instead of the narrowed stare any random Pride member would have earned, the pair were greeted with a proper smile. She got to her paws and padded over to the edge of the water.
"I could splash you too, Haiba. Waterfight?" She hadn't heard Mat's comment, but Tufah turned her smile on him as well. Only her siblings had some of her love and family loyalty like this - and even then she was like a kitten. Either she'd growl and bite in playfights, vicious or she'd purr and smile, affectionate. Depended on how she felt. And how they'd acted towards her recently.

-Haiba had half noticed his brother as he traveled. Sort of one of those 'feelings' that he was used to from often being followed, but he hadn't particularly bothered with it, or been bothered by it because of his brother's usual personality. Silence was fine, Haiba didn't mind. He liked company in fact.
At Tufah's words the golden cub delighted at the suggestion! Far better then his own. He had been willing to perform the task, but to be given back as well.. He tromped excited towards the shallow hole, creme paws splashing through the water as he found a place far enough away to make the game fun. Already the shade of the tree was hiding away the fierce sun.
Playful growl rumbling through his young throat, he threaten softly as he buried a paw under the water, sending a spray of water flying at his sister.- "Better watch out!"

Mat laid where he was, under the shade of the tree, watching out for his siblings. To be honest, he found himself worrying about them whenever the group was away from their mother. He liked the company, but he could not help that a group of cubs would be easy pickings for cubnappers or another predator to pick off. He could handle a few things but a grown lion is way out of his league. He could only hope that the other two would aid him and injure the idiot before it could make off with one of them.
The boy was especially more worried over his sisters, Sarafina and Tufah. He found himself near them more than his brothers.
He looked at the two siblings for a moment before letting out a slight sigh. It was not entirely out of character for him to join in the fun, but he was bored and just watching them was going to put him to sleep. His paws touched the cool water, sending a spooky chill down his spine.
"I... hate... water..."

"Well, just watch for now then" Tufah called to Mat as he settled down, her voice laughing as she half dodged Haiba's splashing. She wasn't going to make him play if he didn't wish to, but she was in the mood to play herself.
Despite her dodging, she didn't mind getting wet, it was just that it was more fun to avoid it...after all she had been lounging in the water for it's coolness for sometime, so she hardly feared getting wet. Underneath her fur, she skin was probably all wrinkled up like an old gourd skin from her soak.
She splashed water back at Haiba happily, with a cubbish snarl in answer to his growl. It was nice to play with him this way - she knew that of all her siblings, her golden brother was the least rough. Even in her foulest moods, when she'd bite hard on purpose with any of the others, Haiba had some mercy from her. She knew he wasn't such a fan of the violent playfights they all had.

-He splashed and sloshed around as he 'dogded' her stream, finding himself more wet by his actions then he would have been if it hit. But he hardly seemed to mind, the cool water refreshed him, and his damp fur caught ever little wind now. The whole thing only seemed to inspire more enthusiasm in the golden cub. His tail flipped and flopped about, his playful growl resounding.-
"Water won't hurt you any." -He chided matter of factly towards his brother, before once again turning his attention to Tufah, trying to sneak a few steps closer as his paws skimmed the water again, sending a sprinkling her way.-

Mat snarled and hissed anticipating a splash from his brother, Haiba. He just had a feeling that when he was least expecting something, Tufah and Haiba was going to double team him and tackle him into the water, splashing water at him. Water, stupid stuff made him cold it made him shiver. It was humiliating.
He moved from Haiba with his head down to shoulder level, his ears flicking and his eyes on both of the siblings.
"Hey, don't splash around too much, you might attract something to us..."
A bit bored, he swiped his paw against the water creating a splash in the siblings' general direction.

"Don't be silly, Mat. There's the scouts and these lands are crawling with lions." Tufah rolled her pretty red eyes, stayed still while her brother's water attack hit and slashed towards them both in quick succession. Well, as quickly as she could. If Tufah was getting soaked, they'd get soaked. Mat too.

-Mat misjudged his golden sibling, but then he was easy to misjudge, as of yet not fitting into the norms of the family nor the norms of a regular pridelander. However he did yelp a little at Mat's bit of cheating.-
"Hey no fair!"
"You can't splash if you aren't playing!" -Less then concerned with the worries of danger, after all Tufah seemed perfectly unafraid, he turned his sights to his brother. Getting hit by his sister he pounced foward in the water, sending a sprinkling in the direction of his brother. All too pleased grin resting on his little face.-

Mat's eyes grew wide when his brother "attacked" him. He quickly drew up a paw to shield himself, unfortunately, that did little to nothing for him as it just hit the paw, side, leg, chest, and ears. Wet... stupid water and here he was, wet. He threw his paw down into a stomp only to splash even more water on himself.
"That wasn't fair! I wasn't even try to throw water on you! Why you splash me for!?" he snarled back, letting his anger fuel him a little as he just threw more water back as he just kept swinging his paw into the water.
Apparently, he's playing now.

Tufah laughed - there, they'd got their grumpy brother to play! Tail lashing, she splashed back. This however was getting inaffective as they all were already wet and water hit water mid air. Which was pretty and cooling and fut but...time to take this water figth a stage further. It was only a shallow pool so she could safely tackle-pounce her nearest brother.
So she did.

"You splashed my sister!" -Was the retort Mat recieved, and though 'henious' as the crime was amusement laced his voice more then anger.
However his laugh was cut short with a umphh of air as said sister plowed into him. His footing slipped in the mud, and down he splashed under her weight, though once again it was laughter that sounded when his head surfaced the shallows.- "Traitor!!"
-Pawing playfully at the assault he attempted to buck her off of him, feeling his back sink into the ooey gooey bottoms of the watering hole.-

"She's my sister too!"
Mat just kept splashing the best he could with the little experience, and little effort, it required to do so. He roared playfully and kept splashing with his paw. He had no idea what the point of this game was but to get wet so that is what he planned on achieving, to get his brother and sister wet. When it came to fighting or competing, he strove for being the top, no wasted thoughts and plans put into place almost instanteously. Quickly, he thought of a way to "win" this game. To splash them and not get himself wet. Well, if they were in water, it would slow their movements, right? If so, being on land would make him faster to get away from splashes! After each splash, he moved slowly toward the shore until only his forpaws remained inside. Hopefully, they did not notice his movements as he continued to keept splashing water everywhere.
