Hmm... I have bactricin anti-biotic ointment that I used to heal an infected earring once. I think they sell it over the counter, just that the prescription is stronger, I think.
It's a nervous habit, like people who shake their legs or crack knuckles and such. Perhaps try taking up a new habit. xD Or... yeah bandaids on your fingertips would discourage it. >>
