Because it is a crime to have a fantasy page and not have a topic devoted to Prof. Tolkien's masterpiece I feel the need to create one. I don't want to limit this to just Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit (or There and Back Again) so feel free to discuss all of the stories (complete and incomplete) and details concerned with Tolkien' fantastic world.
To get this discussion started I want to know what are some of the other tales set in Middle-earth that people love? Personally I adore The Tale of Beren and Lúthien, (the version told in The Silmarillion.)

I've always wanted to read the Silmarillion after hearing that Blind Guardian's Nightfall in Middle Earth album is based on it. 3nodding
