okay, this is last year's show. titled: Classic Americanwhat do you think? we're division one (marching 160+). what would you score our show?constructive criticism is nice, too. ALSO at 6:55, i'm the one standing on the yard line at the end of the horizontal line at the front of the field. ;D

eek man thats a lot of people . you are like 20 times bigger than my band. for having that many people, you guys are not very big on sound or maybe its just me. one thing that is very good is the drill, you guys march very good. musically, first and second movement were kind of boring because there was not much dynamics. the third one was a bit better. were you guys marching double time? because it felt a bit weird that the drum major was conducting in 3/4 and you were marching faster. another question is, did you have any time signature change? because i saw all at one time signature

also my band has like 60 people in it this year and i think we might be able to outplay yours. in one of our competitions we compared music scores with a band bigger than yours and we had a better music score than they did mainly because of dynamics and you don't have to be very big to be good. in fact last year the championships went to the smallest band in the finals in Florida (were i live)

niiiice.
yeah, our sound isn't that great. i'm really hoping that changes this year. i'm already driving the newbies nuts with all this talk about actually practicing the music for once (crazy freshmen). our band is pretty large, so it's sad when we get a wimpy sound. also, we had some time signature changes. the second movement is basically all in half-time, and the third movement speeds up towards the end.
but kudos to your band! getting a big sound out of 60 kids is very impressive. 3nodding

First off, w00t for division one bands! blaugh
As mentioned before, your sound is kinda...well, meh...but Youtube always manages to make a hash of marching band sound. stare
Since my band always seems to get the grungy-nitpicking judges, I'll be the grungy-nitpicking judge here. 3nodding Watch your intervals and your step! You're doing great, but sometimes (like at around 3:03 or so) you can tell who's out of step. It happens to all bands eventually, but if it happens constantly in your band you'll get counted down for it.
Also, your guard....I'm not quite sure what they're trying to do. confused They didn't seem to be in sync very much.
Question: Is that all the pit you have, or is that just how much pit that the music called for? It's unusual (for me, anyway) to see such a tiny pit in a D1 band.
But anyway, great job! I'll bet that field was pretty much flattened by the time you were done wink That show would probably net you a 1 - 2+. 3nodding

I just found out recently that there are juniors in our band that can't tell their left from their right. o__o; YES, OUR GAURD SUCKS. Like, seriously. They're wimps. They don't know how to perform, not to mention count in time or hold any sort of steady rhythm. There's this long-standing joke in our band. Any time anyone drops something, we tell them to join gaurd; they'll fit right in. xD And I don't know what's up with our pit. I thought that was the normal size. Guess not. xD But yeah, they're pretty good, though. They went to some kind of drum line and front ensemble competition thing and one first place, and I think they might have even gotten a small article in local newspaper. o.o But anyways, thanks for the rate. It's much appreciated. ;D

...i wish our band could do that...we have like 35 people we're awesome though...at the University of Toledo they have this thing every year...and we were invited and they like us best...the funny thing was only like half the band was even there so there were like 15-20 of us....and we did our halftime show for them(...many gaps...)
