"It's possibly the most beautiful GCN title ever made." - Nintendo Power

This two-disc RPG is based on a world where an evil god almost destroyed the world but was defeated and sealed into cards. Sadly, the world was so tainted battered after the war that witches raised some pieces of land into the sky. The story revolves around a 19-year-old named Kalas who wants revenge for an evil man who killed him grandfather and brother and a 17-year-old named Xelha who stole a pendant from the evil empire and was trying to save the world. Please discuss this marvel of a game and post any questions on how to solve something or what happens after something. Please put spoilers in white and put the following:
at the beginning and
at the end of every spoiler that you post.

I really want this game.
One thing that was sort of holding me back was the fact that it was a card-game but that doesn't really matter anymore. ^^

They're used as monsters, I'm guessing it's like Lost Kingdoms but way better gameplay and graphics. ^_^

All items are put into cards is basically it. It's not like a regular card game. It's just some cards you attack with and some you don't. Some you use to defend and some you don't. There are some that aren't under this but basically the battle system is that when you are attacking you use swords, spells, etc. to hurt the enemy or you can use items to heal your allies. On the enemies turn you use sheilds, helmets, etc. to decrease the amount of damage you receive. There are also finishing moves that after you use enough cards on your attack you can use it and it'll be your last move that turn. That's basically it, it's not like a regular card game it's a whole new concept. The best part is that after you use up all of the cards in your deck you take a turn to reshuffle and you can use them all over again.

Also, if anyone has gotten to the last part before Cor Hydrae. I am completely confused on the one place in Duhr that has all of the blocks. I'm going to the basement part and am just thinking was too hard on a Sunday xp .

You could just do what I always do when I get stuck on a game. Go to www.gamefaqs.com They've got plenty of walkthroughs and cheats, so you shouldn't have any problem on it if you go there.

scream DON'T EVER SUGGEST GAMEFAQS TO ME UNLESS YOU ARE POSITIVE THAT THEY HAVE A WALKTHROUGH THAT GOES THAT FAR scream ! Besides, the game is so new that they don't have any walkthroughs that even make it up to the second disc.

I got it a while ago, and its great! The voice-overs are laughable, although the music is extremely good(Survival From the Force rules!) Right now, I've got to get Komo Mai cookies for Mayfee.

When you've beaten the game, can you tell me if Disc 2 is as long as Disc 1? I was horribly disappionted when Tales of Symphonia's Disc 2 was way shorter than its Disc 1.

Well, it depends if you do all of the side quests. If you do then yes it is a little longer. Actually, the second disc is so full that they had to get rid of the extra movie that you see when you first turn the game on. You can check for yourself. It goes straight to the title screen.

Oh, I don't have the game, I just wanted to make sure of certain things before I buy it.

Hehe, I thought they'd be in there for some reason! I checked there, right after talking to the guy that makes 'em.

i love this game. i got it with chrismas money and have been playing it ever since. as for the tower with the moving blocks in Dhur, its not the last place before Cor Hydrae. im somewhere ahead of you but still not to Cor Hydrae yet.

and to clarify alittle about the Magnus(cards), think capsules from DBZ, the cards store the essence of an object which is then released when you need to use it. so if you have a magnus of a sword and are fighting, you release the sword from the card, it materializes, you use it, and then it gets reabsorbed by the card again.

...personally i think it makes much more sense for a group of about 6 people to carry around a few hundred cards that can turn into an arsenal then for them to actually carry the arsenal. think about it. in FF7 etc. how do these 6 or so heros carry around hundreds of swords, shields, assorted healing items, etc.?
