I don't remember it being a book...I never read it if there was one. But, either way, I followed along with the movie plot quite easily.

I think it was a Novella. But, yes, it was a book first.
I loved it. I think as time went on, and I looked back on it, I liked it more and more. It was visually stunning and the story was great. I loved Michelle Pfeifer as the witch. Definitely her best performance since Catwoman in Batman Retuns. At least in the antagonist role.

When I saw the trailer for it I didn't expect much from it. But I was wrong. I liked it at all.

I just watched this movie, and I loved it. Sure, it might have been weak at points, but I found it rather entertaining. It's theme of love really reminded me of Moulin Rouge!, another movie I enjoyed. And who can hate a movie with Robert DeNiro, Michelle Pfeifer, and Claire Danes? That's right, nobody.

I watched it with a couple of friends. It was really good! Not what I expected. You can tell it was based off of a book. Really good movie heart

ninja For the benefit of Mr. Kite... It was pretty good. As far as sweeping fantasy stories go, though, it isn't my favorite. ><

I was really really impressed with this film. I just loved every minute, and what a beautiful soundtrack too. But then I read the book thinking I would enjoy it even more, but for the first time in my life I preferred the movie version. So now I enjoy the movie even more, all the changes from the book were clever, and added to the story and the characters. The book is rather a disappointment after it, so yeah, well done for being the only ever movie that I have preferred to the novel, I never thought it would happen.
