Sesshomaru sat on the couch in the center living room with his arm crossed over his lap. He glared at the television which was currently airing a special on the history of demonology, or something like that, he wasn't paying attention. Sesshomaru was pissed, way too pissed to pay attention.
Sesshomaru seemed to be finding himself pissed off alot lately. And he had nobody to take it out on. In fact, that's why he was angry. Where the hell was everyone? Mirelle had disapeared, and along with her went Kirika. Rini was gone, and after her odd outburst of love or some human babble, he didn't know what to make of it. Who the hell was going to answer his question if nobody was around? Didn't these people know better than to leave the great and mighty Sesshomaru waiting?
A little bit of poison leeked from his fingers as he let out an annoyed hiss and flung it agianst the television screen. It then fizzled and popped before the picture went out. The glass melted, and steam rose out of the small holes.
Wow. Today was not the day to mess with this demon.

If it was possible for babies to grumble, then Lucy was definately grumbling. She had been recently woken up from her lovely dream; killing all humans, and she probably doesn't understand what it means except it was fun. There was no doubt that she was very cranky at the moment because somebody had to ruin her fun. Or perhaps it could have been the heat outside. Whatever it was, Lucy was no happy baby.
Rein sighed as she made her way towards the center with Lucy in her arms. She hadn't even been able to take off the bandages that were wrapped around the child because something kept stopping her from doing so. "We are almost there now...so be a good girl...please...?" Rein asked although it sounded like a plea.
Lucy's eyes narrowed slightly as she watched her care taker pushed a door open. A cool feeling brushed past her and she suddenly felt relieved for a moment. Thank god the place wasn't as hot as outside! Rein's voice quickly snapped Lucy out of her little mind ranting.
"We are finally here now!" Rein replied trying to sound as happy as she can be.
Lucy was not amused and she has to stay here until god knows when. How...lovely.

Sesshomaru was currently smirking on the inside over the fact that he had destroyed the television. That way if any annoying brats came in, they wouldn't be able to watch it. He heard the door open, and the words 'think of the devil' where about to ring threw his head, but then his attention was grabbed by the seething power he felt rush in threw the door.
His eyes shot towards the center door and then his head turned to follow. He couldn't see whom entered, so he stood and walked towards the hallway. He saw a woman with a small child. The woman wasn't the problem, it seemed. She registered a normal on his senses factor, but it was the child.. The child with the bright pink hair and the strange horns.
"Who is that child?" He asked, more of a demand. He pointed at it with his only index finger, before he looked down at the child. It wasn't a demon. No.. But it wasn't.. human ether.

Rein turned her attention from Lucy towards Sesshoumaru and blinked. Moments flew by until she finally registered that he had asked her a question. "O-oh yes. This is Lucy..." She tried to hold up her up a little more only to feel something pull down on her arms in a harsh jerk.
Lucy turned her glare from Rein towards the new presence in the room. Her eyes widened slightly before she dropped her glare and opt to face somewhere else. Perhaps she can start dreaming about killing all humans again...However, it seemed a lot harder to fall asleep now.

Perhaps he should elaborated more on his question.
"What is she?" he asked, his gaze still intent on the child. The woman had gone to held her up more so he assumed, but she jerked a bit and the child remained where it was. Had the child done something to her?
Sesshomaru, not one to be modest or respectful to others personal space, began to reach out with his hand to touch the child, curios as to what response he might get.

Rein tilted her head at the question. Honestly...she wasn't sure herself either. Due to their first meeting, she had thought that Lucy may have been a hell spawn...but she would keep that comment to herself. "I assumed that she was human. Though her horns say otherwise..."
Lucy had fidgeted slightly and turned back towards Sesshomaru. She scrunched her face slightly when she saw that he was going to touch her. Great. Another person trying to touch her. Lucy did not want to be touched. Especially if she doesn't know who the hell that person was. With that said, 'something' attempted to slap the offending hand away.

Sesshomaru's hand recoiled after being smacked and his eyes widened in surprise. Not shock, but surprise. He then grinned to himself with much satisfaction.
"Oh, she's no human, alright." He said, practically elated. So all the humans he knew wanted to just skip out on him, huh? Wanted to just disepear without a trace and sever their bond of trust. No problem, he didn't need them. He'd just train himself a new confidant. He ceased any further attempts to touch the child, and simply leened over until he was eye to eye level with it.
"Hello there, Lucy. You may call me Sesshomaru." he said, while giving the infant an all knowing look.

'Hah! I knew it! Lucy was a hell spawn!' Rein thought upon hearing Sesshomaru's comment. Her little "bundle of joy" began to fidget uncomfortably in her arms. Rein found this to be a good time to loosen up the bandages around her arms and hands.
The reaction from Sesshomaru was not one that the baby had expected. She thought he was going to yell at her so Lucy would start to cry. Then Rein would get angered and storm out of the center and take Lucy home. That was what she had planned. But instead of being angered, she felt a little creeped out. Upon feeling the bandaged around her arms loosened, she quickly grabbed onto Rein's clothes.
Rein blinked once or twice wondering what was wrong with the infant. Sesshomaru seemed like a nice person. Why did Lucy seemed so scared of him? She glanced down on her wrist watch to check the time. "Oh crap. I'm going to be late..." She muttered before looking back at Lucy and Sesshomaru.
She sighed to herself wondering what she was suppose to do. Finally after moments of thinking it over, she decided to pop the question. "Um...I have to do something important. Unfornately, I can't bring Lucy along. She might cause problems. So is it possible if you could take care of her while I'm gone?" Rein smiled nervously.
Even though she was an infant, Lucy felt something bad was going to happen. She had no idea what was really going on but she felt scared. She found her grip on Rein's clothes to grow tighter.

Now, people asked Sesshomaru this question all the time. And typically it followed with a response along the lines of 'looks like I'm having deep fried baby for lunch'. But no, not today. Today his smirk just widened even farther, this was perfect.
"I will watch the infant for you." he said, before holding out his arm for the child. His sleeves where so long it could of been easy for someone to assume he had both his arms. But honestly, the sleeve was completely limp and going straight down. That arm was all he had to work with and it was damned obvious.
Sesshomaru looked down at the child as he waited for it to be handed to him, a small glint in his golden eyes.

Rein looked relieved as she sighed before holding Lucy out towards him. "Thank you so much~!" She said as she tried to loosen the death grip the infant seemed to have on her.
Panic. That was what Lucy felt when her care taker was handing her over to a stranger that they had only known for a short time. She felt her grip on Rein slipping when she had been placed in Sesshomaru's arm and began to make some whining sounds.
Rein smiled as she patted Lucy gently on the head. "I promise I'll be back soon so play nice!" As she turned around, she began to rub both of her arms and noticed that they had turned onto a bright shade of red. She cleared her head for a moment realizing she didn't have anymore time to waste before she deashed out of the building.
Lucy frown as she tried to reach out for Rein who was already gone. Her lower lip quivered slightly as she turned her attention back towards her new babysitter. She narrowed her eyes slightly. This was not her day today...

Sesshomaru secured the child against his chest, adjusting it so Lucy's bottom was at the bend of his arm and his hand was tucked under her armpit. Although he highly doubted he needed to secure the child all that much.
"Now now, don't cry. It's not like I'm a child molester, those kind of monsters are reserved for human-kind only." He said as he made his attempt at comforting the small infant.
He then turned around and carried the child back into the living room. He paused, trying to think on how to aproach this situation. The last time he tried to get a baby trained by starting out with brute force didn't result so well. He'd have to start this more.. tenderly. Perhaps if he and the child watched television? He looked towards the TV.
"....Damn it." He muttered under his breath. Wait, wasn't there a TV in the kitchen? He turned around and walked threw the doorway in the corner of the living room, before he sat down on a bench in front of the kitchen table. He adjusted Lucy in his lap and rested his arm agianst her back, before he shifted the remote towards him and turned on some cartoons. A blue blob was nagging some kid with brown hair and a big purple monster. Hopefully this would entertain the kid.
"You like TV?" He asked as he looked down at Lucy, actually suceeding in sounding tender.

At first, Lucy was still worried. She found herself clinging onto Sesshomaru incase he might have acidentally dropped her. She didn't want to endanger her life since it was being placed in his hands. As she was bring brought over towards the kitchen, she was trying to think of ways to be left alone. Hitting Sesshomaru again might end up getting dropped. Crying may possibly do the trick. But he might throw her out the window just to shut her up. Everything that Lucy thought of ended up a total disaster.
Despite the fact that he had not done anything to her yet, Lucy was scared of Sesshomaru for unknown reasons.
But all thoughts seemed to have been dismissed when she found herself staring at the TV. The moving pictures made her lips twitch upward into a small smile. Oh yes. Lucy seemed to like the TV. She liked the TV a lot.

Sesshomaru let out a satisfied grin when the child seemed to react well to the television. It wasn't exsactly what he called entertainment, considering they where watching a show where the plot seemed to be a blue blob trying to direct a movie for some kid who kept hashing out cash. But whatever, he could suffer threw it just this once. Next time he would graduate the child up to watching action flicks with massive explosions, and then the next time to horror flicks. Yes, he could see it all now.
His hand lifted from the remote and began to gently pet Lucy's pink hair.
"Good girl." He said, and then began to try and figure out just what kind of demon this child was.

Lucy didn't seem to mind the fact she was being petted. In fact, she was leaning into the touch. It felt very comforting and the tense feeling from before vanished quickly. As she watched what the blue blob would end up doing next, she couldn't help but make her smile bigger. There was nothing to worry about...for now.

Sesshomaru busied his mind with thought while the child watched the cartoon. Thinking back to the earliest of his memories when Tenshi would often do the exsact same thing with him as a toddler. Sit him in her lap and read or show him old jappanese black and white films. He and Tenshi had an alright bond. He wasn't her lacky, but she didn't do training to him like he would later do to this child. Yes, it seemed this would be a good way to build a bond with the small pink haired infant in his lap.
It was then he realised that the child's hair was rather soft and pleasing to the touch. So he continued to do so. Soothing over her hair, while being careful not to touch her horns. He wasn't sure how she'd react to those being touched, and right now wasn't the time to test it.
He glanced up at the TV, only to see that the small blue blob had somehow managed to gain disaproval for making his film, and that the brown haired child's money had gone to waste.
((This is an actual episode of Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends I'm summarising. xd ))
