Whenever anyone tries to give me the potential argument of utter bullshit, I have always struggled with an adequate way of handing it back to them in a way that sounds exactly as ludicrous as it sounds to me. Well, today, I finally figured out a way to do it. And if you want to include your favorite pro-choice rebuttals to typical Lifer, it'll be interesting to compare notes. I Guess what? That bacteria that was going to evolve over a span of a million years (a blink of an eye in cosmic time) into a beautiful and nonble creature which would be able to singlehandedly restore order and peace and health to the Earth, let alone the Universe.... Just got MURDERED. In COLD BLOOD. BY YOU. Why? Because you selfishly didn't want a runny nose and sore throat; a consequence of catching that bacterial infection in the first place by neglecting to wash your hands or even if you used soap and water every time but some resistant bacteria invaded your body anyway. CONGRATULATIONS! You just murdered the last potential hope for the Universe! Stop the murder of UNEVOLVED SENTIENT LIFE FORMS! Allow every infection to run it's course without any intervention. It's only NATURAL, and if you die, that's a sacrifice you are going to have to make for the sake of evolution. After all, what if some dinosaur squished YOUR evolutionary ancestor?

AnimeKoneko242 has a hilarious sig that has essentially the Pro-Life "potential" argument on it, just above the bright red words, "JUST SAY NO TO SANITATION!'
I couldn't stop laughing when I read it.. but, it's a good way to debunk this silly argument.

Um okay, so? What if your great-great-great-great-great-great grandmother hadn't had sex with your equivalent great grandfather! OMG HOW WOULD YOU FEEL? WHAT IF YOU TURNED OUT TO BE ONLY AN EGG DESTINED TO BE LOST IN A PERIOD! WHAT IF THAT SPERM HADN'T HAVE FOUND THE EGG! HOW WOULD YOU FEEL TO HAVE NEVER BEEN CONCIEVED!
HOW WOULD YOU FEEL IF YOU WERE BLED OUT IN A MENSTRUAL CYCLE OF BLOODY DOOM!!!!

Yeah, but It probably was pretty long before, and I just spend too much time in the PCG to realize it. sweatdrop
Anyways, if anyone is willing to dig it up.
It's about how pro lifers are afraid of not existing.
Either by never being born or death.
They are truly afraid about that and can not comprehend, that
if you were never born, or die when you've never even gained the ability
of sentience/understanding, you really won't give a ******** if you're dead/not here.
That's why they always always bring up the arguments of
"What if you were aborted?!?" "What if that baby you killed grew up to be the next Einstein or Mother Teresa!"
They ask these questions because they either do not have answers to them themselves or bad answers which are usually without any comprehension.
"If I had never lived I would have never met my mommy, and daddy and and..."
UGH

Unfortunately, I'm not sure how often Pro-Lifers get the point. They always respond, "Well, sperm/eggs are not people, but embryos are!" which is an entirely different argument. If someone is arguing, "X is bad because if X had happened with your parents, you wouldn't exist," then anything that doesn't lead to children is bad. Someone stopped one person from raping another? Well, how would all the people born of rape feel about not existing? Birth control? How would you feel if your mom had stopped you from ever being conceived? The list goes on.

That always gets a laugh out of me too.
Not only was I raised Pro-Choice, but I was also raised to believe in Reincarnation- That when you die, your body is left behind and your soul is erased of it's memories in your past life and it inhabits another body as it's born.
So, the way I see it is- I HAVE been aborted thousands of times, probably! Do I care? ....Of course not! Because not only do I not have any memory of it, but oh my, look here- I still was born into another body being born by someone who wanted a kid. On top of that, I've probably been bled out thousands of times too. Gosh, I just have SO much pent-up anger that thousands of my could be mothers had totally natural, healthy bodies that MURDERED ME!11!!!!!!1!!11
