Life is all about playing 'fair.' You are raised on this idea and in some ways I think the principles have been distorted this way. Everyone gets a turn, everyone has a fair chance. This is true with almost anything, but there are times when this should not be used.
Life is also about taking what you want, and not expecting people to hand it to you. They won't. And that's fair. Because they are too busy trying to get what they want. People work for what they want and fight for what they want. This is what is fair.
I was in a position where I was ready to take what I wanted, It was there for me, and I was going for it. But an older person stopped me, and said we should make sure we check to see if everyone had a chance for it (which they did, they just didn't take it) but since the person was asked, she figured she would. That's not fair. I wanted it more than her, because I was activly taking it, rather than waiting for someone to suggest it to me.
Another thing that isn't fair, is that my mom worked her a** off through high school and college and kept her head level so she could reach the job she wanted (again, activly taking what she wanted as aforementioned) Some of her tax money (and every other person who fought for what they wanted) goes to her brother, who was lazy in high school, dropped out, and partied his whole life. How is this fiar?
Any thoughts on anything I have said and the whole idea of 'fair?'

Life will never be fair. So ******** that bullshit and be as aggressive as you can to get what you want.
I hope one day, a disease can take out all the lazy people. Survival of the fittest. No one believes because it's cruel, but they need to get over that it's true.
I wish I could change things one day, but all I can do is stand with a mic and make crude jokes about it.

And the masses trying to make everything fair is making the stupid, incompetent, ignorant, lazy a**, narrow-minded, bigoted vulgar scum of the world survive. There is a certain point where change and affection are impossible for certain people. At that point we should jut take them out and shoot them. >:[

Nothing is ever fair... nor will it ever be. And killing off those who try to make things work out for everyone won't do a darn thing. Every generation brings new ideas of what's fair and not fair. So killing people just isn't an option.
For the most part, all we can do is go for what we want and judge 'fairness' by our own morals. I figure as long as I don't let myself down, I'm succeeding.
As for the government and taxes and that crazy s**t... we'll it just proves that freedom is never really free. In highschool I worked at a Dominoes pizza place, making minimum wage and from a $250 check, about $30 of my hard earned money went to go pay for people who don't do s**t for a living. It's not fair. But then again, neither are the the lives we're putting that money into. My neighbor was raped by her older brother at age 15 and carried his baby. (Yes disgusting, but it happens) She had been an A student but after the rape, couldn't bring herself to show her face. She couldn't afford an abortion but also couldn't afford to raise a retarded child. Currently, she's 17, lives with her drunken meth addicted mother in a one room appartment, and attempts to care for a child who's at the peak of his maturity. She was a good friend of mine... now she won't talk to me. I don't know if it's because she's embarassed/ashamed of her situation or if she hates me because I have a better life.
At any rate. When I see that money on my pay stubs, I think of her and how I'm hopefully bettering her situation. And the people out there who need the government money (taken from us) to pay for medications.
I guess I just kinda ignore the whole issue of fairness. I accept that life is fair and I don't let it slow me down. There's nothing any of us can do about it... so we just gotta deal. That's where Skully's survival of the fittest plays in. Life isn't fair and those who survive and succeed know that. They worked harder because of it and beat the system. They still have their days when things aren't fair, but never once will they believe that their hard work wasn't worth it.
It's called pride. And it's respected by all.
