Trent had the scent of the sea upon his fur from his journey to the ocean. His scarf followed flapping in the wind behind his mighty figure. The tree was in his sights. He wondered what the pack had been up to in the month that had passed. He was sure they were doing fine, after all, the celestial pack was not a pack you would want to cause any trouble with. They tended to lack physical strength but their speed surpassed all else in Dacaiana.
He neared the tree, its warmth greeted him like an old friend returning to life. It felt nice to be home. Home, that was a funny way of putting it.

Psyche was near the base of the tree, stretching out her legs while her pups and Mizer rested. It was nice, every now and then, to get out and move around. The view was great, but Psyche did love solid ground every now and then.
And no crying babies to deal with. Babies... she still hadn't explained to Mizer yet, but she knew she would have to eventually. She could only love one wolf. That didn't cover the children she had with him. Her family would always have one cursed wolf to carry it on. Her son. Her only son had the curse, of that she was positive. She could almost smell it.
She should have told Mizer... but he had been so happy, she couldn't do it. She felt awful for keeping it from him. What would he do when he found out what she had done?

A strange mixture of Mizer and another wolf's scent lingered in the air. That was strange, until he saw her. So Mizer did survive his wounds and was now settled down? At least Trent assumed this seeing that a female with his scent mixed with his own stood right before him. Trent would have helped more with Mizer but he knew his brother would not have accepted it. The whole reason Trent had lingered in the shadows not saying a word the time the two were figting and burning the females place down after to prevent further stalkers to show their ugly faces on the celestials door step.
"Why such the long face?" He inquired when he was close enough to be talking. His gentle soothing voice in its usual tone. "You look as if someone has just laid upon you a terrible truth."

Psyche didn't even look suprised as she turned and looked at Trent, "You must be Mizer's brother Trent," She smiled a little, her cold look returning now that she was not with her beloved, "My Alpha, doesn't that make you? I'm not suprised, I suppose. You're supposed to be strong. Or so I heard."

Trent nodded at her surprisingly on the dot guess but had no change in his complexion. This female was Mizers mate after all. Other wise why would she had just figured out his ranking so quickly as the alpha.
"I suppose you despise me then." The wolf said this with no sadness or hatred in his tone. His voice carried his usual smooth tone with an unchanging complexion. "Mizer is a good wolf at heart," He was now looking up at the tree, "I am glad you two are happy together." His gaze fell upon Psyche, "Looks like I dont have to look after my baby brother anymore."

Psyche grinned sadisticly, "Leave Mizer to me. If anyone lays so much as a paw on him, I'll tear them to shreds. However, don't make the mistake of believing that Mizer has biased me to dislike you. I have no real choice in that matter. Perhaps you should know that I am a cursed wolf, if you don't already know that. I can love and care for no one but the one who defeats me. And even then, it is only the first, and that was Mizer. Your brother is a good wolf, and I love him, and I will protect him and I will make his dreams come true, no matter what the consiquences..." She looked over at Trent, her eyes bland, "We've had pups, since you were gone. Perhaps you should meet them. Or perhaps you should see Mizer. I'm sure he'd like you to see them... though he might never say that out loud."

The alpha nodded. The fact that his baby brother Mizer had pups now caused him to raise a brow but did not question it. He had faith in Psyche if she had managed to get the self absorbed Mizer he had known to calm down enough to start a family with.
The fact that Psyche could only care for one wolf set an unsettling feeling in Trents heart. It ached at the thought of the mom not being able to care for the pups, but they had Mizer to say the least. He did not say his thoughts but his look of worry did appear on his face. Loud and clear for Psyche to read. It was only there for a brief moment before lapsing into nothingness. The other thought he pondered was what if one, if not all, her pups were cursed? Could she have passed the curse on?
He shook his negative thoughts from his head replacing them with the joy that he had nieces or nefwes if not both.
"Would you mind introducing me to your pups?" Trent inquired changing his train of thought.

Psyche had looked horrified for a moment. She had told him, would he pass it onto Mizer? She wanted to be the one to tell him, since he hadn't really noticed yet... Trent was smart though, she could tell, both as a warrior, and as a leader. No... she hoped that Trent would be kind enough to talk with her about it first. But it meant... she would have to tell Mizer... and the thought still broke her heart...
But she shoved that all down as easily as she did when Mizer was near her. A moment's laspse in concentration was nothing. She could cover it up.
"Yes... yes of course, my Alpha, it would be a pleasure to introduce you to them. There are three, two girls and one boy. We've named them Malice, Zuri and Ira." Psyche mentioned over her shoulder as she leapt into the tree, heading up towards her and Mizer's den.

Trent had no intentions on telling Mizer. Him and Mizer had never been close considering, when the two were younger, the many failed attempts on Trents life from Mizer. Despite this, Trent still loved his baby brother. Though he loved him enough to keep his maw shut. The alpha had not caught on that Psyche knew that he knew and was worried. His mind was whirling around with to many things to ponder to notice the sudden worry of the female.
With a great and powerful leap, Trent joined the female on the branch. He knew where Mizers den was, he just wanted Psyche to be the one to interduce him to his nieces and nefews.

Psyche lead her brother-in-law up the tree and into the den where the three pups slept, their eyes still closed. Ira slept alone. Psyche could barely look at him, knowing what he carried. He may have looked more like his father, but he had his mother's most unfortunate trait. An unfair but true fact.
About as unfair as her curse was in general, she found. Not only did she not know where it came from, but she didn't know how to break it. She didn't know how to love her pups.
"Trent, meet Ira, Malice and Zuri, your neices and nefew." Psyche said, nodding in their direction.

The blue male, almost the spitting image of a young Mizer, caught his attention first. He raised a brow but did not say what he was thinking. He merely smiled down at the three defenseless pups as they lay in his wake. Mizer gave him an odd look as his older brother smiled at his off spring but did not say anything.
"Ira is it?" Trent treaded closer to him, "A nice boy you got Mizer," He gave him an approving nod.
"Oi!" Mizer called to his older brother who he detested, "My son does not need your approval. Even if your alpha brother." Mizer did not mean what he had said. Bitterness of not being chosen as heir still coursed its way through his being. It was irritating to see Trent coddle his offspring so friendly and not show any sign of distrust to the brother who had tried to kill him so often after he was chosen.
Trent knew his brother and knew his feeling. The main reason why he never fought his brother, he truly loved him.

Psyche frowned, sensing all of the angst in the room, "Ira is quite impressive. He will grow to be strong, as will the girls. They have no physical defects." Though she knew that one of them, probably Ira, had a spiritual one.
Ira merely shifted onto his side, away from all the talking.

"Even if there was something wrong with one of them that would just be a challenge for that young one to over come to strengthen them selves despite the fact," Trent grinned at both parents. Ira had caught his eye with his problem. It was so strange, so sad if he really was how Trent thought he was.
"The male, Ira? Was it? I'd like him to be taken under my wing when he is of age." Trent nodded at both parents.
Mizer looked up in surprise at his brothers offer. Was he naming Ira his heir to be alpha or was it a trick.
"Brother," Mizers voice was not as angered as it usually was when addressing his older sibling. "What is the meaning of this?"
"Ira has potential," Trent said with a smile. Nothing more to this matter needed to be said.

Psyche bit her lip, looking to Ira. Then back towards Mizer. Perhaps Ira would never love another wolf... would he be able to love the idea of a pack? Could he want to protect it, in order to pretend to love it, as she had her legend? Possible. It would make Mizer so happy... for his son to take position, possibly of the pack some day... so happy if his son found something to love.
"Mizer... we should consider the idea," Psyche said after a moment, "Ira is very strong for a pup his age. He does have, as your brother says, potential."

Mizer nodded his head in agreement. "This better not be a trick brother." He said at last as his eyes fell back on his older brother.
Trent meekly smiled back but it faded from his face quickly. "So its settled then. When the boy is a teen bring him to me." Trent turned and started for the exit.
Mizer did not object to anything. He just raised a brow watching his brother disapear in almost thin air. Quite curious the offer his brother had just put forth. Quite curious indeed.
