Warning: Here be Spoilers!
So, I picked up issue 1 a few days ago (I've gotten terrible at reading comics...) - I live in the UK so there's a good chance I'm an issue or 2 behind, but...
What do people think so far? I'm enjoying it more than I was Garden of Souls by the end of the first issue - while GoS seemed to spend the entire first issue infodumping, KG is leading into something Interesting, and it promises to give us something new.
Not sure if I like what they've done with Johaan - sure, it's clever, giving him one of the Soul Depositories, and they need new Muscle since they lost Roger, but he looks no-where near as awesome. The constant eating and unsuccessful advances towards every woman he meets make it worth it, for this issue at least.
Information brought up about Ben's past again - nothing specific, but it suggest there's more to come. Which leads me to hypothosise:
Someone's going to betray the BPRD, not necisarily due to a major plan, but through blackmail (Daimo) or a moment of weakness (Kraus), and it's going to shake things right back up again.

okay I just finished reading it.
Oh my god. Johann's new body is so not him. I still can't believe about Roger. It seems to be mostly Abe and Liz central.

Fortunately, his body doesn't seem to last...
It was a nice look into his character though - we don't normally get to see it, but it must be hellish living like he does!

I completely agree with you about Johann's new body. I really didn't like how he changed. Then again, I don't think I could blame him for some of the things he did, but in other places he crossed the line.
What do you think Daimio's going to do? I think (This is just a guess, obviously) that he's gonna have Darryl kill him and then the BPRD guys are going to have to use the knife on him. Remember the one guy said it could "kill a ghost"? Foreshadowing!
