I am drawing an online manga currently, and I drew a girl's ava in the same style I drew the cover for my comic.

C&C welcome.

I love online comics~ They have so much variety and some are really very good! I wish you best of luck~ heart

I apologize in advance if I misinterpreted what you meant - but if that image is an example of your comic, I would first suggest type written dialogues. A type of shading would be appropriate (whether crosshatching or black/gray airbrushing) as it provides more depth and makes your comic pages more interesting.

That's about it I think, based on that image. I look forward to your comic. 3nodding

Thanks for the crits.

This is the style I used for the cover of my comic. It was meant to be flat. I intend on using the grayscale brushtip markers i have for dimension on the rest of the comic. heart

Well, I have said it before, and I will say it again "Eww manga".

I personally think there is nothing wrong with manga. And when people think of manga they see that anime type drawing style. But that isn't what manga is about. A great manga teacher once said, " It isn't about the drawing style. Manga is about moving the reader with emotion." His english wasn't the best. But he was just trying to say the difference between comics and manga. Manga turns on emotions in a reader. Comics are usually just for general entertainment. 3nodding

xD;;

Sounds cool JV, I hope you can follow through with it. xD

I've tried so many times to do something like that and get distracted.

I wish you good luck, can't wait to see some kind of page layout, or first drawn page.

if by manga, you only mean japanese comics i would have to disagree with that statement entirely, simply because i've read japanese manga that only enterntained or even not at all, and american comics that really did turn on emotions and thoughts.

In fact, that's really the only distinction i make between manga and comics. One describes material from japan/asia or referes to a style/genre, the other is a generic term that could be manga or anything else.

mmmm..

eh, i dont draw much, but in my opinion... by the cover, i wouldnt be very interested. I can't tell if its a man or a woman.

But you know what everyone says, dont judge a book by its cover. xp
