A lump of orange striped fur and feathers was quite visible upon a gray and dim broken city. The fluff appeared to have a beak, claws and wings. Its movements were quite odd and cautious as its front claws scrapped the cement laid under its path. This creature was in no hurry and not really headed any wear. It would seem to watchers it was just being cautious of a hostile area where monsters bigger then it could jump out and devour it at any given moment.
The creature paused looking at the dim sky that was cast over head. The last rays of light of the day were just disappearing over the border of rubble and various other things. The sky and broken city looked so strange together, a pair that was never ment to be. The creature shook its head after a moment of distraction and carried onward. His tail limp and dragging behind him.

Massive bat wings beat down on the quickly cooling air. Green fur with blue and violet webbing manipulated the wind beneath and forced the creature into the sky. Violet eyes glanced wearily at the bleak looking ground. A bright orange lump that contrasted with the ground caught the arnulf's eyes, enticing her to see what it could be. She felt as though she hadn't eaten in quite a bit, so this was worth checking out. Perhaps this would be a tasty twilight treat for her.
The arnulf dived quickly and gracefully towards a near building, so as not to alert the possible prey of her whereabouts. Her blue paws met with a faded roof sooner than she expected causing a thumping sound to resound. The arnulf froze for a few seconds then resumed her stalking mode. Her nose sniffed the air, but she was still quite a bit away from the orange lump. She leaped down over a set of fire escape stairs and landed far more gracefully than she had when she hit the roof. Ears perked up as she peaked around the building to get a better look at the mystery creature.

The orange gryphon was oblivious to his new found stalker. He had no idea that a short distance away from him he was being sized up for someones next snack. The irony of the whole thing was that was what he was trying to aviod, attracting attention to him self. The mighty Arnulfs scent was covered up by the smell of smoldering city scape and the rotting decay of the once lively parks and such.
If it had not been for a clutz mistake of tripping over ones front talons, which flipped the gryphon on to his back, he would have never known he was being stalked. Flat on his back he found he was staring face to face to a creature who wanted to munch upon his flesh. The gryphon continued to just lay there frozen by fear that was now eating its way up his spine.

A dark chuckle graced her lips as she showed her sharp teeth. Her blue and purple tipped tail flicked out behind her as she folded her green, blue, and violet colored, bat-like wings. He certainly was tiny for a treat, and rather slow. She thought how odd is was that he was going for the submissive paralyzed with fear response to show his realization that he was in fact watched. "Are you just going to lay there? I didn't know this is how the youth are being raised these days. Playing dead is no way to keep yourself from ending up that way."
The arnulf walked slowly towards the griffin, deliberately taking large, slow steps. Her ears were perked up, listening for any other predatory kimera in the area. She stopped mere inches away from him and lowered her face towards his. "Boo," she said with a slight chuckle rolling off her tongue. He certainly was an odd, but interesting little griffin. Maybe she could find out a little about this orange poof ball.

Azura remained frozen to the spot. His heart rate was now pounding so loudly in his chest it felt like it was a bout to explode but he stayed put. The fear had climbed its way in every fiber of his being. Digging into his heart with sharp cold nails clenching on with no means of ever letting go. His eyes were wide and aware looking up at the Arnulf wanting to say something or move out of the way.
It was only when the Arnulf said 'Boo' did the spell of fear lose some of its hold on him and he found him self scrambling to his paws and claws. The orange gryphon felt his legs were still jello. There was no chance of him running or flying any where. He was sure if he did try anything the Arnulf would end his life that very second.

"Back on your feet are you? That's an improvement from the frozen in fear." Her smile faded as she bared her teeth menacingly. "However, you are shaking like a leaf, which is almost as pathetic as before." Her violet eyes narrowed as she got even closer towards him, watching her breath slightly ruffle his feathers. She felt the wind blow as the twilight was fading slowly, it was going to get dark soon, and cold. The arnulf's fur rippled slightly as her paws shifted a bit.
Her stomach made an audible growl, causing her to loose her focus and stare angrily at her belly. Eyes flickered back to the griffin. "Why don't you speak? I don't like those anti-social kimeras. They end up being rather tasty with no pack around to protect them. Are you one of those kimeras, poofball?" She snapped her jaws shut making a nice loud size to show off her capabilities. The grin hadn't come back and she still was not impressed.

It was strange he was still here and not devoured. Why was the arnulf toying with him? He did not know, nor really care to find out. A clump of his voice sat on his vocal chords. His beak started to move attempting to let them escape but it failed. No he was not going to have that, he was not playing his part for being a fun pray, he needed to get some more time before the arnulf grew bored of him and decided it was time for him to meet his new home.
"I-I," His voice was high pitched an raspy with fear. No he could not have that. "I was just heading back to me nest where my parents 're waitin' for me," He lied, he had no parents. "If I'm not home soon they gonna be skeptical of me wear abouts and wont be a good thing to find a patch 'of bloodied feathers now would it mate?" His voice was smooth now with no trace of fear. He needed to make it sound real. Though he had a feeling the arnulf could see right through him.
